Jumbo shrimp NOT
Peter B.

So the food tasted fine but...... The Jumbo shrimp in the attached description were actually average to small in size. The service was horrible, from placing the order, to picking up the order I had little to no confidence it was going to be correct. I had double check it, it was missing a couple of items.

Some people do not like to dine alone. As someone that is a bit introverted I actually enjoy dining alone at times and so it was when I dined at the Bonefish Grill during my last visit. Arriving at my usual diner hour (3-4 pm), I was immediately seated and offered the bar area or dining room. I was the first customer of the day. Dining alone in an empty restaurant is carrying isolationism to the extreme. I ordered the Maryland crab cakes as an appetizer. Two crab cakes with a red remoulade sauce (spicy) $18.90. This crab cake is house-made and I enjoyed it. Waiting for the crab cakes the attentive waiter (Joey) brought out complimentary hot bread with a serving of olive oil, chopped basil. Frankly, I could have had multiply servings. I was careful not to spill any of it on the white table cloth. To finish my meal, I ordered the "Rainbow Trout". It came with jasmine rice and garlic whipped potatoes both were very flavorful. The :Rainbow Trout" came out hot. It is a mild fish so seasoning is important. It was perfect and so flaky. If you want a seafood diner don't go to Reb Lobster or spend crazy money down the New Jersey shore.

Food was great. My first time here and I ordered the salmon. It was tasty Definitely recommend.

Cat fish was not crispy and it has that strong fish smell.

I ordered fish and chips, shrimps and cat fish and let me tell you, it's the worst fish and chips I've ever had. When my husband walked in the house with the food I could smell the fish from the room and when I tasted the shrimps it's taste like it was from a week before they cooked it. I literally threw my $50 away. It was dry smells really bad. I thought it was like fish and chips that made out of fresh tuna and with flour but no. Very dry and smell horrible. Never again.

LOVED it! We got a…read morereservation on Friday night , packed up our wine and set off. It was very cute on the outside with sea themed decorations and some outside tables. Inside was the same feel and very clean. Just was pleasant . We sat and saw you can buy wine there or drink what we brought. The prices for the bottles of wine were very reasonable. Dinner was amazing , probably the best oysters I've had in awhile. I chose the swordfish Milanese . Perfectly cooked over asparagus, potatoes and Argula and olives. What a combo! My boyfriend had the mahi mahi special . Cajun spiced served over a delightful slaw and spinach on the side. This is a great choice for fresh fish!

When we arrived (around 7pm) there was only one occupied table in the restaurant. The room was cold and drafty, as if they were trying to save money on the heating. We had to change tables twice trying to avoid the chill which was forcing my mother to keep her winter coat on. On our first visit, the breadbasket included some delicious garlic bread. That was gone this time. Previously, the staff immediately set out an ice bucket and glasses when they saw our bottle of white wine. This time we had to ask for both, twice. Throughout the meal, we watched our waiter standing in the doorway to the kitchen engrossed in whatever he was doing with his cell phone. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty, the fact that we couldn't get his attention when we started to have issues was frustrating. I chose the Calamari Chino again as an appetizer. I enjoyed it so much on our first visit that it was the one thing I knew I wanted again. Unfortunately, I ended up sending it back. Although it looked like the same dish at first glance, the crispy and tender calamari I loved the first time was now soggy and rubbery. My mother again went with the Grilled Norwegian Salmon, which she enjoyed. My father had the Paccheri & Shrimp alla Vodka, which is described on the menu as sautéed wild shrimp, over paccheri pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, oyster mushrooms, & green peas. He wasn't a fan of this. It seemed to be missing both the oyster mushrooms, & the green peas. He also described it as being "goopy" and thought it tasted artificially thickened in some way. I ordered the New Coconut Jumbo Shrimp, which is served with grilled asparagus, white rice, in an orange marmalade sauce. I had high hopes for this since coconut shrimp is a favorite of mine. The presentation was quite nice, but the shrimp was overcooked, and the coconut coating was nearly burnt. I believe it had been left in the deep fryer too long. Frankly, if I had not sent back the calamari I would have sent this back as well. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant still looks nice, but it seems like they're just going through the motions now. I don't see us returning.

My husband was craving Mediterranean food and while researching options, we stumbled across Mandaloun. I have no doubt that sooner or later, getting a table here will be impossible because the food is that delicious. We didn't have a reservation but they still accommodated us with genuine hospitality. Our waiter, Marcelo, was exceptional, super attentive, warm, and went the extra mile without ever being overbearing. He gave us the perfect recommendations and took his time pointing them out. I started with the babaghanoush, and let me tell you... it was the best I've ever had. And we just visited the Mediterranean recently, nothing compared to this. It was savory, smoky, and downright addictive. I only wish I had more pita chips to scoop it all up. The hummus sampler was also delicious. We asked Marcelo for more bread and he delivered. For our mains, we ordered the mixed platter of meats and the short rib. Every morsel was perfection, so tender and flavorful it was unreal. Every bite melted like butter. Talk about comfort food at its best. The chef even came out to greet us, and I told him, "Sir... your food is amazing." I cannot wait to go back! This is money well spent, and I already told my husband I want to bring all my friends here. Also, important tip: It's BYOB, so don't forget to bring your favorite wine. I wish I knew beforehand, but we'll definitely come prepared next time. Mandaloun has earned two new loyal customers. Highly, highly recommend. Wow!!! SIMPLY AMAZING! The place is pretty inside too. Just wish they dimmed the lights a little, but overall exceptional experience.

We started with the cucumber, pistachio, and yogurt, with harissa and sesame seeds. Like a very creative and refreshing Mediterranean pickle. Delish. We also got the Mediterranean salad. It was much more interesting than your typical Greek salad. Excellent feta, good cucumbers and tomato, and nice little pita chip slivers. They also start you with very good bread with olive oil and some olives. For our entrées we got Chilean Seabass, Branzino fillet, and Mariscada, which is a big shellfish stew. While it's not indicated on the menu, all entrées come with saffron rice, sautéed vegetables... And their homemade potato chips. The person who got the Mariscada was so happy. It had every kind of fresh shellfish and really was enough for two people. I really enjoyed the Branzino fillet, which came with a lemon caper sauce. It was huge and very delicious, I had to give some pieces away. The Chilean Seabass is the most expensive, at $55. For me, I felt that I have had better Seabass and I preferred my $36 branzino. But the person who ordered it was thrilled and thought it was amazing, and gets it every time here. I loved the saffron rice, and the homemade potato chips. I didn't eat the sautéed vegetables (there was just too much food everywhere!). But the person who tried them thought they were extremely delicious. Overall, this is a great place for sharing, with tons of food. And the cucumber, harissa yogurt, pistachio and sesame seed appetizer showed that they are innovating and not just doing your parent's Don Pepe. Oliver was also a super server as was everyone else on the team. And we enjoyed the patio... though I must say that being over Route 46 traffic is not the most atmospheric, and I wish the patio was on the other side! But who can complain with all this yummy food? Looking forward to coming back here next time I'm in New Jersey.

It seems that the food tasted the same but presented & plated differently. I asked the waiter if the Chef remained from the previous establishment and he confirmed; this is why the food tasted familiar. I'm not sure if I'd return and would say my overall experience was just, OK. Arancini: Arborio rice was bland & cold Clams Casino: Good, but the mashed potato did not pair well Mariscada Red Sauce: Good, tiny little shrimp & obnoxiously large calamari rings. Prime porter House: Just Ok not prime but rather choice and they offer no sauces, presentation needs work.

My coworkers are content with eating Five Guys for dinner, I'm craving a glass of Caymus and a good steak. After some research, I came across Prime 94 SteakHouse and Grill. Walking in, the large neighborhood bar is to the left and the dining rooms are to the right. I'm solo so I'm escorted to a small, corner two top table. The waiter starts telling me about the specials. After he was finished, I told him a want a 16oz Ribeye and a glass of Caymus. No bread basked needed. Also, can you throw on one or two long hots? Yes sir! Now this is what I would eat at home. I'd buy a nice steak with a good glass of wine. Did I just describe my last meal before I head up to the pearly gates? Yeah.. Prime 94 SteakHouse makes a good steak. The cook was perfect, it was a little fatty but that's the flavor! The french fries are something similar to a diner fry, they were really good as well. I took a piece of steak, a small slice of the long hot, mmm mm! Prime 94 SteakHouse isn't a fancy steakhouse. There was a large table in front of me, I'm assuming it was grandma and her sisters along with a family of four. The aunts were asking, I'm assuming an 19 year old girl about her college, she was giving one word answers. Prime 94 SteakHouse, it's a neighborhood spot that's serving up some good food. If I lived here, this restaurant would be in my dining rotation.

What made this place a 3, star is that the staff doesn't introduce the menu and items well. For example, I got the beef ribs with vegetables and sweet plantains (both VERY good btw), they failed to explain that there are SPICY PICKLED VEGETABLES THAT GOES WITH IT. I took a bite of the cauliflower thinking it was the vegetables side, and spat it right out because it's the Portuguese style pickled veggies. If someone didn't eat spicy that would definitely mess them up. Ambiance? None, it's basically a small bodega with 3 pairs of booth seats and 5 bar seats.
