We had been at ball tournaments all weekend and wanted something a little more heathy than drive thru food so we chose this restaurant. We ordered sea bass and filet mignon. They were delicious. However, the sides and service were a total let down. The jasmine rice was so clumpy I could pick up the entire serving on my fork. Not to mention the serving size was equivalent to two tablespoons. The serving of spinach was bland and cold. Brussel sprouts were good. Let's talk about our server, he was friendly but very inattentive. After having to ask two other servers at two different times to get him, he shows up at the table and said, "sorry, I had to step outside so I didn't get fired." As if, he was about to blow a fuse about something. We never got the butter sauce for the fish, and ran out of water half way through our meal and was never offered more. Ask for a to-go box (taking the rice home to the dog) he brings a couple bowls out, no bag to carry them in. Finally got our bill and signed a receipt of $120. Definitely not worth the value today. This is not a typical comparison visit to our past experiences with Bone Fish. Very disappointed! read more

Bonefish Grill is always amazing every time I go. Love the bang bang shrimp and pomegranate martinis - their signature items. The crab cakes are the best in town, very fresh and they have unique salads, too. The service is always above and beyond expectations. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly every time. The decor, layout and ambiance is conducive for socializing with co-workers but also, great for a romantic evening. The lighting and music is always on point. My family and I met for a holiday meal yesterday. If I could give a 4 star for the food and a 2 star for service that is why they earned a 3. After waiting 25 minutes to order, we were told they were out of one of their signature dishes. I wish we had been told that from the beginning. We had to ask for bread and more water. Once order was finally placed, the food did come out in a timely manner. The restaurant was not busy but the service overall was very slow. I think the server needed more training. He kind of stood around and watched to see if he would get a tip- we did tip but not as much as we usually do @ 20%. read more

Had a pretty great dining experience at the Bonefish Grill last night. My wife and I went in and we were immediately greed by a nice young woman, who ultimately seated us in a decent area. As soon as we were seated a young gentleman came and introduced himself, just before taking our drink orders. He was very well mannered and polite. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer and it was incredible. My wife ordered a steak dinner, while I ordered Alaskan Cod and both dishes were amazing - cooked very well, full of flavored and plated very nicely. Our drinks stayed full and we did not feel at all neglected, dismissed or ignored. I loved, loved, loved the service we got, about as much as the food! I'm so happy that we made the decision to choose Bonefish as our dinner destination. We will definitely be going back! read more

We often eat at the Franklin location and as we were in Murfreesboro dropping off a grandchild we decided to give this location a try. Like many others reviewing this location, I have the same complaint about service. The food was fine but we waited a long time between being seated and being able to order drinks. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer first, which never arrived until our salads arrived and we had to remind them that we had ordered shrimp. Next our bread never arrived, once again we reminded them and at this point we were half way through our entree. The service at the Franklin location is always professional and attentive. There is obviously a huge problem at the Murfreesboro location. read more

My husband and I had the worst experience ever with a server named Ivan. Ivan forgot my dessert and when confronted about it he became argumentative and rude. My business colleagues that dined with us were appalled and vowed to contact the Corporate office. I spoke to Joey the Manager and he was very apologetic about the situation. Needless to say we may not ever go back there as long as this restaurant allows rude and disrespectful staff to remain working there. read more

Easily the worst dining experience we've had in recent memory. Waited 45 minutes beyond our reservation time to be seated. Took another 10 minutes to get drinks. Our waitress actually quit and walked out of the restaurant in the middle of our meal, apparently exasperated with conditions. The manager, Eric, had no control and terrible people skills. Several other groups in the restaurant became upset with their service. Overall, the extremely poor service ruined what should have been a joyful celebration of my son's graduation. Good for dates or just fin dining, the wood-fired grill cooks ocean fish like Singapore calamari, Chilean sea bass, sea scallops and Norwegian salmon. Very disappointed - slower than usual service, food came out cold, mussels were half booked, waitress kept "socializing" at the hostess desk, waitress dropped some discarded mussel shells on the floor and didn't pick it up-when others could have fallen on it, another shell was dropped and another server kicked the shell under a nearby table and ignored it (was there when we finally got out check which also took forever). I was teetering between giving 3 stars or 4 so I went ahead and gave it 4 stars because the service and cleanliness plays a huge part in the dining experience! Based solely on food, it would be 3 stars. When you go you must get the bang bang shrimp! It is their signature appetizer. I haven't found a meal that I think is absolutely amazing, but I do like the Kobe beef burger and my husband likes the Parmesan crusted trout. It's been a while, but I remember the steaks being pretty good. The scallops and shrimp were not up to par, they were small and lacking flavor. Also the fish tacos were dry, so steer clear of those. They have a full bar and they make a pretty good rendition of a Moscow Mule. Give it a try and see what you think. read more

Over the last several months - two family birthdays - I had occasion to have dinner at the Bonefish Grill. The seafood dishes both times were incredibly fresh and well prepared. We ate here for Father's Day. My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which he said was wonderful. I had a steak. I don't remember which one. I just remember that they didn't cook it right. When I ordered it she said that they always overcook their meat so to order it a little rarer than I would like. I ordered it Medium and it still came out well done. Oh well, my husband said I should know better than to order meat in a place that specializes in fish. Next time I will get some fish! read more

While in Murfreesboro we stopped by the Bonefish Grill for lunch. I usually turn my nose at chain or corporate fare, but I was pleasantly surprised at the cool modern atmosphere, attentive service and good, fresh food. I chose one of the daily specials -- Lily's Atlantic Salmon -- and it was divine -- perfectly prepared, and garnished with goat cheese, sauteed spinach, and an artichoke heart on top of a generous well of mashed potatoes. So flavorful - as was our starter dish (Bang Bang Shrimp) and the Cajun Fish Tacos my husband ordered. The Mango salsa served with the fish tacos was a big plus. I can't wait to try our local Bonefish Grill here in Huntsville. read more

I have always liked Bonefish. I went to Bonefish when I lived in Florida. It is my favorite place to eat in Murfreesboro.

I very rarely give a restaurant a 5 star review. These guys earned it! The service was beyond excellent! The manager came to the table and sincerely wanted to be sure that everything was perfect. The server was super friendly. When they found out it was our first visit and that we were new in town they offered a free dessert. Also, worth noting that other servers walking by our table would often refill water glasses or clear the table for us, which shows great teamwork. The food was excellent! My wife and I tend to take samples of each other's food at new restaurants, so that we both get a full experience and we both get an idea of what is good/bad/ugly. We started with a coconut breaded shrimp that came drizzled with a sweet and spicy sauce that was just right. I ordered a "filet & crab cake" plate with steamed broccoli on the side, she ordered "Arctic Char" with a side of whipped garlic potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked to temperature and seasoned with care. The crab cake appeared a little broken on my plate as it was set in front of me, which is a good sign that not too much breading was used. Sure enough, the flavor was outstanding. The broccoli was steamed perfectly (I get it, just broccoli, but so many places get this simple side dish wrong). The arctic char was actually really, really tasty! I do like fish, but I usually prefer it the way I cook it at home. This really surprised me. Complex seasoning that was not too fishy, not too hot, not too salty. The whipped garlic potatoes were so good I smiled. I had to assume they used my trick for the best garlic potatoes ever (no, I'm not sharing the trick), because the taste was exactly what I make. The dessert! I must preface this by explaining that we rarely order dessert. It's not because we're cheap, but often the desserts look great on the menu, and we end up taking a bite or two then boxing it up to bring it home. In this case, we found something wonderful. We ordered the "macadamia nut brownie" and it was to die for. You get a brownie covered in hot fudge, with a raspberry sauce, a scoop of ice cream, a scoop of whipped cream, and a macadamia nut crumble. This dessert was NOT about a sugar overload. This was about perfection. We ate the whole thing down to the last macadamia nut crumble. I do not care that this is a chain restaurant. This is a 5 star place. The kitchen staff obviously takes pride in what they serve, and the service staff is as polite, courteous, and helpful as they could be. read more

It is nice to have an somewhat upscale seafood place in the 'Boro. I have been here on a few occasions and find the food unique for Murfreesboro. There are several exotic selections. Do not expect perhaps the quality of an local upscale seafood place in a larger city, but it is excellent for what it is. Do expect smaller upscale portions. Though it is a somewhat casual restaurant attire wise most people in the evening do seem to come dressed business casual or as they would going out to a lounge. Overall one of the better selections in Murfreesboro, possibly the best for seafood. read more

This was a wonderful discovery for us. Had never been to a Bonefish before. The decor, ambiance, service, and especially the meal, were all excellent. And reasonably priced. By the texture and temperature of the food it was obviously sitting there for quite some time. One of the entrees wasn't made as ordered. The fries and popcorn shrimp in kid's meal was dry and cold.
