I am very disappointed in this restaurant I haven't been here in a year, stop yesterday and got ninety two dollars of different variety of food and it was so nasty I started to take all the way from Raleigh NC! Take out sucks don't do ! read more

For a chain restaurant Bonefish is one of the best and I am always happy with my meal at the Cary location and look forward to returning. Their complementary bread with the olive oil/garlic herb dipping sauce is a great start to the meal. This is one of the few place that I order an alcoholic beverage as they make some really good seasonal martinis. The bang bang shrimp appetizer is beyond delicious, and the scallops on my last visit were perfectly cooked. Service has been solid on our visits, even on a busy day like Valentine's Day. They even had long stemmed roses for the lady's which was a nice touch! read more

To spend now $180 for a dinner for two, you would think the food and service would be worth it! The steak my wife ordered was suppose to be medium rare and it came out well-done. More disappointing is it took another 25 minutes before serving a simple steak. Will think twice before coming back. read more

Planned business meeting here for some weeks, service was normal and speed was good but food was very disappointing and far below expectations for Bonefish Grill. Shrimp had some taste and flavour but the pasta was utterly tasteless, bland and watery, on edge of being overcooked. Only good part was Crabcake appetizer but should have been 3pcs not 2pcs. Will meet elsewhere next time. read more

Even though it was crowded when we got there we were seated immediately... however it took 10 minutes and flagging down another waitress to find out our waiter got sent home. Thankfully this waitress took us on with her other tables and gave us really great service. Boom boom shrimp was great as always. My husband got the burger (not much a seafood fan) and it looked extremely good. I got a Caesar salad with shrimp which was just enough for myself. Food was great but it misses a star for miscommunication. read more

It was super easy to order online and pick up. They came right to my car when I parked without having to call them. We were craving some good seafood. I got a seasonal special, which was salmon topped with crab meat, mushrooms, and spinach. I also got a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. My meal was truly delicious and the salmon was perfect. Boyfriend got the mahi-mahi, rice, and green beans. His meal was not as delicious as mine, but still a good choice. The bread was still warm when we got home; also yummy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. read more

We came here for a date night on a Tuesday at 7:30 pm and it was surprisingly packed, so we were glad we'd made a reservation! The food was stellar and our waiter was super attentive and friendly. They had an amazing deal which was two items off their specials menu ($18-25 per dish on average), two salads, and an appetizer of Bang Bang Shrimp to share for $55. I'd tried their Bang Bang Shrimp before and really liked it, so we were glad it was a part of this deal. For the specials, we got the Fresh Swordfish and Pumpkin Ravioli (Wood-grilled Swordfish, topped with crispy onions, crumbled feta and a hint of butter, served with pumpkin ravioli and green beans) and the Thermidor Gnocchi (Sweet Lobster chunks and tender Shrimp sauteed with golden-brown Potato Gnocchi, mushrooms, peas, and fresh tomatoes tossed in lobster-sherry cream sauce). Both were good, although the swordfish wasn't as tender as I'd liked. The gnocchi dish was really, really good - it was both our favorite. Also, everyone received bread and olive oil to snack on as they waited for their food which was lovely. However, the waiter did mess up on my order - I'd asked for mashed potatoes instead of green beans, hence the 4 stars. But we were still satisfied with the whole experience. read more

Our family had a great dinner at Bonefish Grill. We usually dine here for a date night or special occasion, but this time we brought our young daughter and my sister. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I was glad they had a kids menu. My sister and I had the parmesan crusted rainbow trout and the lobster tails. They were delicious. The lobster is always amazing here. It just melts in your mouth. The service is friendly and the ambiance is very nice. We always know we'll have a good dining experience at the Bonefish Grill in Cary. read more

The Service was very good. The Ambiance was average. The food was horrible. We chose to go to Bonefish because we had positive experiences In Florida and New Jersey...We had eaten at Bonefish in Florida several times. It is very popular. The food is prepared well and served hot. The food at Bonefish Durham was horrible tasting and cold. My husband had a dish with shrimp. The shrimp looked like it was just taked out of a grocery store freezer bag, not at all fresh. I had Salmon, it was very dry and tasteless. ...,overcooked.... A 'Manager' from the kitchen stopped at out table. He asked us if we enjoyed our dinner. We told him it was horrible... We paid our bill and decided not to return. The restaurant was packed.. I can't figure out why.... .. read more

I had been going to Bonefish for years recently they changed the menu and stopped offering their specialties where you could choose what sauce you wanted. Ordered the blackened fish tacos we always loved, came out totally different the fish, lettuce and tomato, plain with no mango salsa or sauce. Ended up sending tacos back and left. Terrible experience. The restaurant was also empty and I can see why. Chef definately changed as well as original recipes. Will not be back. read more

I ordered the crabcakes and a side of fries and asked for them to be brought at the same time. My friend ordered a Caesar salad and calamari and asked that they be brought at the same time. The salad arrived about 15 minutes before everything else. My fries came by themselves, and I immediately asked them to return to the kitchen and make me some fresh ones to come with my crabcakes. The Caesar salad was very overdressed and swimming in the dressing. My friend said the calamari was just fair. My crabcakes were good. I was surprised at how small the serving of fries were. It was OK since I only wanted a couple, but it's definitely not a shareable side. read more

Went here to celebrate boyfriend's big bonus and I was not disappointed. The service was great and we loved that his daughter was given crayons to draw on the butcher paper set on the table. Food: Bang Bang Shrimp The perfectly fried shrimp on a bed of greens with the yummy sauce all over it was a great combo Chowder This was delicious! Perfectly creamy blend of seafood chowder Chilean Sea Bass The fish had a melt in your mouth consistency but expect the portion to be small. I had the bacon mac n cheese and the whipped garlic potatoes as sides. The potatoes were meh but the Mac n cheese was BANGIN Gnocci This was my favorite thing on the menu. If you go here, you MUST order the gnocci. (I forgot the official name of the dish listed on the menu but it was the only gnocci entree) Chocolate Lava Cake This was yummy but the cake was more spongey and less dense than I'm used to. Came with strawberries and whipped cream. We ordered ice cream on the side too read more

The 3-stars are a gift! The only reason for the higher rating is that the food was the standard, solid "good", to be expected at an OSI establishment. As you know, I am a bar-sitter, and it was the perfect example of non-busy, with a scant amount of couples and solo diners. Upon sitting, I was not provided attention or greeted in timely fashion (even though there were TWO bartenders). The solo diner next to me was offered bread, while I was not. I had my usual salmon fix and veggies, which was fine. It just wasn't the usual energetic, personal service experience that one expects from an OSI/Bloomin Brand establishment. read more

Sometimes, it is hard to travel and grab a meal while you are by yourself. I just want to give an incredible shout out to the servers that prepared a great meal, and treated me like I had a table full of people while I was at the restaurant.my fish was excellent and the server encouraged me to try a dish that I might not have picked without encouragement. This is a really great bonefish grill, and if ever in Raleigh, it is worth the trip over to try. read more

This was a Sip and Taste event we signed up for. We tried 2 signature cocktails and sampled 5 different Apps. It was $25 a person. The margaritas were great. A bit on the small side. We also tried the Tiki Martini. It was also very good. Made with run which I say isn't really a martini. We tried the cheesy shrimp app. It was loaded with shrimp. Too much cheese !!!!! A few more roasted red pepper and a little less cheese and this would be more tasty for me. Next was cod sliders. They were OK. I mostly tasted cod and bread. There were a few condiments but the cod over powered it all. The wagu beef sliders were a winner !!!! Next came fried artichoke. My least favorite !!! I would never order or eat this ever again. And of course we were presented with some Bang Bang Shrimp. That stuff is like crack ........you can never get enough of it. read more

A rough go for Cary NC's Bonefish Grill on 12/31/2023. The biggest issue was they did not anticipate early diners taking longer on NYE to finish their meals which lead to long waits very early in the evening. My 6:30 reservation saw us sat at 7:20. Next when seated the food was average at best. In particular the Chilean Sea Bass was a poor piece of fish even for a chain restaurant. Everything else was just okay. Honestly the only thing that was admirable was the honesty of the staff acknowledging the delay in being seated. Other than that there's nothing to bring me back. read more

I've been to this chain before and I was a bit disappointed in my dinner plus I found it odd that they served my red wine very cold?!

This is being written while we are still in the restaurant. First of all this location is not mobility accessible as they have no handicap parking anywhere near their front door. You have to park in a spot around the corner and the sidewalk is not wheelchair friendly. Can't tell you how the food is yet as they completely got my order wrong while my companions got theirs and are munching away. This was after waiting over an hour. And I'm still waiting. The manager came over to hear my complaint of no food and have not seen him since. Update: manager said they will be comping my meal. Pretty hilarious as 25 minutes later, I still don't have my meal. My companions are nearly finished eating. I don't care if this ends up being the most amazing salmon of all time (which I doubt) I will not be coming back to this particular location. There are many, many other (read: better) restaurants in Cary. 2nd update: finally got the salmon but it was STILL wrong. You can't make this stuff up! Too hungry to argue but will definitely never come back to this location.!! read more

Stopped in for a bite to eat on an early Saturday evening just before 6 PM. The restaurant was already full with a 1 hour wait! Definitely was not expecting that. I guess the early crowd goes to dinner in Cary. So we grabbed a seat at one of the high top tables where the bar is. It was a long a table, so since there was only two of us we had to share it where people sat at the other end. Which was fine, but not ideal for a Saturday night date night. We both ordered from the 'grilled fish' section. I got the shrimp & scallops and added on that teriyaki style dressing. And for sides I picked the jasmine rice and the au gratin potatoes. He had the salmon no sauce with the spinach and jasmine rice. All of it tasted pretty good except I ended up skipping the potatoes au gratin. They just looked way too cheesy for me. No pun intended! We would go back, but I guess I'll need a reservation or need to come later in the night so that I can get a table in the dining room! read more

We are all entitled to our own opinion right? Well here is mines: Parking:3 Location:4 Ambiance:5 Taste,Presentation of Food:5 Customer Service:5 I came to Bonefish for an event with a group of yelpers and MAN oh MAN was the food, service and variety amazing!! The Service: The service was world class. Every server that came around to wait on us was friendly, engaging, and ready to assist. We couldn't have asked for any better service. All servers and waitress had awesome knowledge about the products that Bonefish carried. The Venue: The venue was superclean. The low lighting gave the environment a romantic touch. I personally love the community table that was set up for us to dine on. There was also TVs at the bar for viewing purposes. There was also a dining area with lots of awesome candle lights on each table. I even took a trip to go look at the bathrooms to see how clean they were and those were immaculate. Location: The location of this facility is convenient to Raleigh and Durham. It sits right in between both areas. It's in a great side of the town of Cary where it's pretty busy. There was ample parking around the facility however it's a very busy complex and parking during peak hours is a challenge so be sure to park and take advantage of the rear parking that's what I did. Overall: Overall I will give this location a perfect five stars. Honestly I wish there was a way I could give them 500 stars. Shout out to bonefish and all of the waitresses and waiters staff for working so hard to give us an awesome experience. Five stars for Bonefish Cary!!!! read more

Great service and food. Pricing is fair. Can be on the noisy side when full. I would recommend their wine dinners.

Had a great early dinner at bonefish. Great meal.! Both plates were cleared. Had salmon with mango salsa. Perfectly cooked, and very tasty. My friend had the Barramundi, and loved it. Also perfectly cooked. Lauren was terrific and took really good care of us. One of my favorite places. We sat outside on a perfect temperature evening ! read more

Dinner was amazing. We ordered the fried oysters which came seasoned so well and served w side of spicy sauce. They were flavorful and tender and I would order them again. My entree was seasonal wild salmon with gnocchi and lots of vegetables topped with feta. The salmon was so juicy and fresh. Corn, tomatoes, and spinach were tossed in with this plate of fall goodness. Seriously so good. Dessert was the flourless chocolate brownie and pumpkin flan. The flan was rich and creamy. The pumpkin flavor shined in this dessert and I would highly recommend. Our server Brooke was also a highlight of our meal. She was attentive and made our date night a success. read more

First timers to this restaurant chain but we were really impressed with the menu items and the service at this location was top notch. Even if you are not a fan of seafood there are some land lovers options that fit the bill. We ordered the steak and shrimp option and the steak was cooked according to our liking. The shrimp was seasoned well and not over cooked. Try the Mac and cheese as a side item it will definitely not disappoint. Most certainly a place to try if in the area. Will go again! read more

I've been to this location several times (pre covid) and always had a great experience all around. Recently we took advantage of the Grilled Salmon Family Bundle which is $39.99. You get so much food and it's cooked perfectly. Ordering was simple and it was brought out to our car and ready to go. We will definitely take advantage of this deal again. read more

Got a gift card for Christmas came here again and this time huge improvement everything was great excellent hill very happy

Ahh Bonefish! I wanted to like you, I know friends that like you. I've had offers to visit and eat there. And in the end, it was just ok. Stopped in for a business meal after work and catch up with some folks. Bonefish was already busy with the after five crowd, mostly 30 - 50 something professionals and Cary-ites. We grabbed a booth in the bar area and ordered up some apps: homemade chips and the bang bang shrimp. Both apps were very nicely done and well-plated, a good start. For the mains we all went off the special Tuesday lobster menu. I did some sliders which were just ok and my table-mate's steak and lobster looked sorta sad. Service was very mixed, our wait-person seemed pretty disinterested and annoyed for some reason. So yeah Bonefish, you've got some potential but need to deliver better entrees and more consistent service for that fourth star... read more

First time at this location of Bonefish Grill. Found ourselves near it at lunchtime on this Saturday before Christmas. No problem getting a table around 1:00. Had a very delicious and delightful meal! We started by sharing the Bang Bang Shrimp Appetizer, which came out hot and rich, with the counter-balance of. cool iceberg lettuce underneath. Not really spicy, in my opinion, but certainly rich. Think maybe I'd like it even better if they were to serve the shrimp with the sauce on the side, so the crispy coating wouldn't get weighted down. I went with the blackened fish tacos with mango salsa and greens lightly dressed in a very nice vinaigrette. Two tacos, full of flavor. Just the right amount! Husband went with fish and chips and was very pleased with three pieces of fish, nice fries and very much liked the tartar sauce. For the holidays, they were doing a bonus that if you bought a $100 gift card, you get a $20 bonus card to use early in the year. I asked if we could use it right away and they said yes to the gift card part, so we went with it. Gotta love getting something extra for the money! read more

Great food and atmosphere. We usually sit outside (better to call and reserve) and we enjoyed our food thoroughly. The menu isn't that big but everything on the menu is delicious. From their clams to their shrimp, their rainbow trout and steaks everything is really amazing. Even their bar drinks are on point, the mule is absolutely fantastic. Service is prompt and friendly. Definitely our go to for some fine casual dining. read more

Not the Bonefish Grill I love! Very DISAPPOINTED! We were celebrating a college graduation and a birthday. Food was not worthy of the occasion. Fish was okay, not Bonefish good, sauce was thin and sparse with a sprinkle of a few tiny lumps of crab. Mash potatoes used to be so good! Not this time, Tasted like instant potatoes mixed with some fresh potato. They were plated like school cafeteria potatoes. Served with a bowl of tasteless unappetizing sautéed spinach. Seafood royal use to be creamy and delicious with tortilla chips, not this time. It was oily melted cheese covered in bread crumbs with every little seafood. The fillet was very small served with a very small crab cake, the food looked lost on the very big plate it was plated on. Over all it was a very disappointing meal because we know the quality of food Bonefish Grill can produce and they missed the mark. read more

I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed with our lunch yesterday at Bonefish Grill. It was very expensive ($85 for two entrees, a water, a lemonade, and the tip), and I don't feel it was worth the money. My husband and I ordered the scallops and shrimp with a side of rice and the vegetable of the day. We didn't enjoy the flavor or the way the scallops and shrimp were cooked, the rice had some old, dry bits in it, and the steamed broccoli was overcooked and greasy. Everything had way too much butter. My rule of thumb is that if I can cook it better at home, I don't get it when I go out to eat. I could've cooked it better at home. We hadn't been to a Bonefish in a good while because our local restaurant closed and we were looking forward to the meal, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The service was good, the atmosphere was fine, but when I went to the restroom, I had an issue with the toilet. The handle was dangling, and it took me several minutes to push it in enough to get it to flush. The toilet was also running, so very obviously they needed to have a service call. Overall, I'm sad we had that experience because we dearly loved Bonefish Grill, and for years we had fantastic meals there. I hope this Cary location we'll find their way back to the excellence we so enjoyed. read more

My Sweetie and I had an early brunch at the Cary location. Both the hostess and our server, Beth were very warm and courteous which made our experience here much more pleasant than the one that we had in North Hills. I tried their new "Johnny Cakes" with a side of eggs and the creole sauce. Everything was quite good. My husband is trying to watch his sodium intake so Beth was quite accommodating by suggesting a different side when he found the potatoes au gratin a bit on the salty side. It can be a little tricky at times ordering food when you're watching your salt. Anyway, we're sure to come back for the good food and the great service the next time we're in the Cary location. read more

This was not my first Bonefish Grill experience but when I decided to eat here while staying across the street I was really impressed. I sat at the bar at 7:30 on a Sunday night, and the restaurant still had plenty of customers and happy staff. I'm usually a wine drinker, but the bartender Julian pointed out that they are mostly known for their cocktails which made my drink decision easier. $10.90 for a dirty martini - with Absolut and stuffed olives was a complete steal of a deal! It was the perfect amount of olive, vodka, and perfectly chilled. This alone would make me come back. I wasn't very hungry, but wanted some fresh, wood-fired "clean" seafood or fish. I love that you can get anything just grilled without sauces or seasonings where they aren't necessary. Julian answered lots of questions and my dish came out hot, fresh and better than I was expecting. This didn't feel like a chain restaurant experience and I truly appreciated the extra time and thought that went into my drinks and dishes. I will definitely not overlook Bonefish Grill at any location again - but still highly recommend this extremely personable and delicious location! Thank you for the great Sunday night dinner!! read more

I visit Bonefish Grill in every city that I visit and I get pretty excited when I see any location. With that said, I was in town for business and opted to dismiss my group to eat at this location alone. I Was Ready To Eat! I arrived an hour prior to closing, light crowd, nice ambience, service was okay but the food was sub par this time around. I wanted some great fish with healthy options. There was not a ton of choices for veggies so I ordered rice and paid extra for salad. Once my food was delivered, I didnt see the waitress or my salad until I asked for it 15 mins later.
