Went here today for lunch because this is one of my fave lunch spots. While waited to be seated I saw they had a "B" Sanitation grade. I chose not to eat here today and won't be back until cleanliness is addressed and the restaurant has an "A" rating. read more

3 maybe 3.5 stars. Would I go out of my way to come here again...no. Tuesday night and waited 45 min for a table (6:15p). Watched 2 tables be seated I know for certain we walked in well before (they too had a device that alerts you that your table is ready so they too did not have a reservation). It was a little frustrating watching tables be seated out of order especially when you have 2 young children with you. Once we were finally seated in a 6 top booth, the last one near the door in the bar area, some guy decided he would use the top of our booth as his personal table and arm rest for the first part of our meal. Finally the waitress asked him to stop. Why would someone have to ask you not to do this? Invade someone else's dining space. Intrude...part of this word being rude! It's cute when a child turns around and smiles. It's another thing when a grown man, who should know better, is sloshing his drink 2" directly over your head, almost hitting you and hanging his arm in your space. Nice clientele. Ordered 3 different apps. All were good. Calamari, bang bang chicken, and edamame Husband said his Chilean sea bass was good but sides were not great. Au gratin potatoes and green beans. Green beans were basically not touched. I had the 8oz filet and garlic mash. Filet had a large mess of fat in the center. Kids had chicken tenders, and grilled chicken. They did a great job of not over cooking the broccoli. Nothing was great. Nothing was bad. Service was attentive. Really turned me off that we were sat out of order. read more

Bonefish Grill - 8oz Filet & Garlic Mashed Potatoes - Seafood Near Me - Cary, North Carolina

I stopped by Bonefish Grill on my way home from work. I live in Durham and work in Raleigh. Instead of wading in traffic, I decided to find a nice bar to wait for the roads to clear. I grabbed a seat at the bar. (It's first come, first server) and was immediately greeted by the bartender Ryan. For a Friday evening around 5:30 p.m., there was already a lot of people at the bar and in the dining area. It wasn't too busy though. I normally go for the Bang Bang Shrimp, but decided to try the $5 cod sliders and the Raspberry Vodka Collins (happy hour). They were really good -- a fried cod "nugget" on a soft potato bun, lettuce, tomatoes and signature sauce. I wish they were bigger because I was still hungry. The Raspberry Vodka Collins was refreshing. Not too sweet. I ended ordering the Bang Bang Shrimp too. What's great about this appetizer is it serves as a meal. The crisp greens at the bottom of the dish double as a salad. So good! Yes, Bonefish is a chain, but the service and quality of the food is very consistent. (No matter where you go.) read more

Service was a little slow. Kyle was on occasion attentive, and other times just not there. Went w coworkers. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My salmon was ordered well done and came out rare. 2.5 stars because I really didnt leave with a great feeling Not great and not terrible read more

I'm not a big seafood eater but I went out to celebrate a friend's birthday. The location is very good especially when it comes to parking. I will say the restaurant seemed smaller than the North Hills location. I expected it to be more packed because it was on a night where they are running a special but it was comfortable. I ordered a burger with fries since the fish selections weren't appealing to me. The burger was cooked medium well with little pink which is okay. My niece order well done and her burger was a little too done. Overall our waiter did an excellent job with keeping a table of 11 happy, drinks filled, and orders to our satisfaction. I will definitely drive the extra 15 minutes to patronize this location again. read more

My fiancé and I went here for dinner last night and it was wonderful!! Stefan was our server and he really made the whole experience. He knew everything about the menu, was extremely polite, and super funny! We ordered the bang bang shrimp, the ahi tuna, and the sea bass. For sides we got the Mac and cheese, spinach, Brussels sprouts and rice. It was all great and cooked perfectly! Even though the food was awesome, this review is really about the service we received from Stefan. He was wonderful. I've worked in food service and he is exactly what a server should be. Hard working, personable, and intelligent. Thank you Stefan for a great dinner! read more

Went to Bonefish Grill in Cary, NC on Friday the 6th of March to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had reservations for six people at 6:00P and arrived about ten minutes early, our table was ready and waiting for us, and we were promptly seated. The restaurant was already pretty full and busy by this time. The service: We were greeted promptly by our server and she introduced herself as Meriam. I could just tell right from the start that I was going to like this one. She had a great sense of humor and caught on quickly to anything I threw at her. She was on top of her game and anyone would be lucky to have her as an employee. She represents the company very well and gave all six of us a very good impression of Bonefish Grill. She treated us like we were her only customers. She made eye contact, was complete and accurate, and acknowledged the birthday girl and had some fun things to say whilst taking our orders. We were having a great time just talking and laughing amongst ourselves at the table while we waited for our orders to arrive. We didn't think is was taking long at all but Meriam kept coming back to check on us and assured us our food would be there soon. She was really quite attentive and fun. The Food: We ordered an appetizer to share. Imperial Dip: A delicious blend of tender shrimp, bay scallops, lump crab, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, served with seasoned house-made tortilla chips. We all liked it very much. Main Course: Myself and two others ordered Cod Imperial stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses and lemon caper butter. Two others ordered Pecan Parmesan-Crusted Rainbow Trout artichoke hearts, fresh basil and lemon butter. Sorry, I don't remember what the last person ordered, but I can assure you he enjoyed his as much as the rest of us enjoyed ours. We liked the seasoned oil that was on the table for us to dip our bread in so much that the birthday girl asked for a container to take what was left on the table home with her. A staff member said, not to worry and came back with an already filled and sealed container for her to take home with her. This place is just great! I love the service and the food. Bottom Line: Yes, I would go back again and yes, I would recommend this place to a friend. Thanks for a great memory! read more

Went here for some after work cocktails and they were made fast and good . Bartender was nice and attentive would go back again !

Went here for a special occasion only to be dissappointed. We shared bang bang shrimp which was delicious as expected. But the tuna poke appetizer which was just some extremely cold sliced tuna lacking flavor on top of lettuce with soy sauce on the side. There was nothing special about it and it felt like I was eating tuna that was just sliced up hours before that was just pulled from the fridge. All 4 of us ordered different fish entrees with side of broccoli, the seasonal vegetable which was overcooked and mushy. The "haddock special" was just mediocre. The worst part of the meal was the "grouper special"d I ordered. It was super tough and tasted NOTHING like any grouper I've had before and even required a knife to cut it. The server kindly offered to bring me another but it tasted exactly the same with this strange concisely and flavor. I had 2 other people try the fish and they both thought it was not grouper & tasted more like shark. The waiter was accommodating and offered another try. So I ordered the crab cakes but they had a fishy taste to them. While the server was great and tried to do his best job, the food was seriously lacking and we will not be going back. read more

While I do not typically support chain restaurants on a regular basis, Bonefish has became a regular staple in our restaurant list. A few year back the service and food became mediocre but in the past six months things have changed for the better! We decided to try it out again about that time when we received a BOGO offer in the mail. When we went, they had a few updates in the Cary location. Table top set ups, new beepers, mood lighting at night, happy hour food menu (no drinks #thanksNC). We sat in the dining room the first time and had great service.... my husband and I wondered... what is this? The food was great, we both got one of the fresh fish. Upon other return visits we have sat at the bar top tables and bar itself, they have all been great experiences with service and food. We still love to go and get drinks and bang bang shrimp on Wednesday's. The holiday 'winter white cosmo' is one of my favorite drinks. And while I know its a 'little' thing, the side of broccoli is actually steamed now unlike before when it used to be raw. We will continue to go back a few times a month for our regular fish, bang bang shrimp and drinks. *** I am not giving this restaurant a 5 stars because we had a rude server when I had left my ID at home and she got smart with me when my husband and father in law ran home (less than 5 minutes away) on the day before thanksgiving stating 'I'm not going to jail because of you' while I love that I got ID'd this one time (compared to the past five visits my husband and I had not been) I do not feel like we deserved the rude comment when they said they were going to get my ID so we could enjoy a beverage while spending over $200 on dinner! read more

Very poor service , the place wasn't even full the waiter (Zack K. as shown on the receipt) came back 30 mins later to say something had deleted the order so we had to reorder . Also said the manager would take things off the bill which was the 3$ side items of a 105 bill smh . Food was also not as good as the one in Greensboro. Very disappointed. Please don't waste your time going here . The manager never came and spoke to us or apologized. Not sure if the young boy who was serving actually got a manager like he said . When he came back with the bill the waiter stated that was all the manager could do was take the bang bang shrimp off the bill although we had little to no service and had to wait an extra hour for our main entrees. The waiter to took a while to checked on us . With the encounters we had with the waiter he was either forgetting something or providing the wrong information i.e. receipt. However, we either noticed him talking to other staff or disappearing elsewhere. I wasted my hard earned money working all day to come here ‍ . Please don't let a name fool you or being seated fast . They will ignore you and never see if you need refill or anything at all . Just serve you a high bill and smallest portions of food . Please don't waste your hard earned money here . read more

So I walked in at 2:30 and waited 15 min at the bar for someone to take an order or even work in the bar and no one showed up. I went to see the hostess and asked it anyone was working and she was very nice and said she would call someone. I could see her walking around trying to find that person. Ironically a group seated near the kitchen that appeared employees concerned w/schedules never bothered to point me out but there was time to adjust lighting and continue on w/conversation. That said, I find it unfortunate because service should have been outstanding as there was barely any customers in the restaurant. I've learned it's easy to lose a customer and hard to gain one. Retail is a tough space and customer experience is key. read more

Nice, lively atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had the bang bang shrimp, based on other reviews here on yelp. It was a Monday night so martinis were only five dollars which was fun. An easy 5-7 minute walk from the nearby Embassy suites where I was staying. Would definitely return. read more

just now We had a wonderful Birthday family celebration last night and the manager, Shawn, made it very special, after a horrific dining experience the night before at Perry's Steakhouse in Raleigh. I appreciate that Yelp reminds people that times are tough for restaurants at this time. I am in the business, and have gone to this location several times over the years. I worked at a Bonefish in Miami, and this used to be a great company. What happened? I thought our server was going to yell at me for ordering coffee. Just radiated an unhappy work environment. The manager came by after we had been waiting to pay for over 20 minutes and wished my father in law a happy birthday as he picked up A plate and left the credit cards to sit for another ten minutes. The food was mediocre except for the mashed potatos which were a cold, flavorless mess. So this review is a reflection of years of sub-par, unfriendly service coupled with food I know should be better. read more

Deeply disappointed with the food , went with my family a birthday occasion and the food was tasteless and way too pricey. The 5 star reviews i read before i believe are fake reviews. Maybe my fault? ...never order a Steak at a Seafood Restaurant? The Wife and Kids took my out for my Birthday dinner last night. We have dined at Bonefish Grill on several occasions.. sometimes good, sometimes not. But my Wife loves the SeaBass, so we go. I was not in the mood for seafood last night, so I ordered the bone-in Ribeye, medium rare. ($27) We enjoyed a few drinks and shared a couple of orders of Bang-Bang Shrimp (so good). When our dinners arrived some time later, everything looked good, except my steak. It looked light something you would get at the Waffle House or the sorts. About 1/2" thick and, well, just not impressive. But, my Wife hates it when I complain, so I ate it... at least what was edible. The fat and gristle that was left over, accounted for about half the steak. Despite my Wife's orders, I complained, giving the evidence to our Waiter (who was excellent). The manage came out and apologized, saying that someone else had just complained. He credited out bill for my meal, which was the right thing to do, but this was my Birthday dinner and I would much rather had a Good Steak! My Wife later reminded me that the last time I had Steak at Bonefish, it was not any good. Even our Waiter said that He had tried the steak once and thought it was awful. (you could have warned me). Point being Bonefish... if you cannot put a Great Steak on your Customer's plate, don't put it on the menu !!!!! read more

They just couldn't care less- no compassion. Took over 2 hours to serve our meals, and then the every filet we ordered was over cooked. Management barely apologized. Have eaten here many times, and usually good meal and service. Tonight an all time low. Won't be back. read more

I've never actually dined in this bonefish grill, only ordered through Doordash, so my review is purely on the food (while understanding food doesn't always carry out well). I've never had any major issues with my food from here. It always tastes good, save for things that don't carry out well (don't order the creamed spinach for takeout), and they've never sent me the wrong food or forgotten any parts of my order. Overall their service through DoorDash is great. What inspired me to write this four-star review is something I received in my order yesterday. Some may think this is a strange thing to have an issue with, but it was very odd to me. I ordered a slice of the key lime cake for dessert to top off my meal. It tasted great, the cake was super soft, but they hadn't prepared the frosting properly, so it was gritty from the caster sugar they hadn't dissolved. As I ate, I was crunching those tiny sugar granules, and you could even hear them scraping on the plate. This was odd to me because bonefish grill is a decent mid-range restaurant with upper mid-range pricing, and not fully dissolving the sugar is a rookie mistake. I mean, I've never even done that, and I certainly have never been to culinary or pastry school. That's something I wouldn't even expect from a hole-in-the-wall diner, it's just so simple. Like frosting 101. For $8 for a single slice of cake, I would expect something better than I can make myself at home. A little bit of a disappointment. read more

After a long day at the Triangle Pen Show I had a great meal. Simple enough we started with the shrimp appetizer tasty, cooked and presented very nice. The salmon was cooked as ordered. Spent time talking business and was not hurried at all. See y'all next time for sure. Thank you read more

I've been to different Bonefish Grills in different states, and I gotta say that the location in Cary is the best one I've been to. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp (mandatory), the Salmon, and the Scallops and Shrimp entrees. The salmon was excellent, with no hint of a fishy taste at all. It was prepared medium with Julienne carrots and their Pan Asian sauce, which had a sweet, piquant taste to it. My son really enjoyed his scallops and shrimp dish - the herb pesto sauce was a nice accompaniment. The side dishes were as expected. I will point out though that the coleslaw sauce was terrific. Since I ordered to go, they packed the cabbage separate from the coleslaw sauce, so I tasted it separately before mixing it with the cabbage. It was like a soy/ginger sauce/sugar sauce and tasted really good. I'm big on sauces and Bonefish Grill does a nice job with theirs. I did take-out, so I didn't have to wait an hour for a table, which may have dampened my enthusiasm for this place. As much as I enjoyed the food, I wouldn't have the patience to wait an hour...I'm just sayin'...... read more

For a chain Bonefish is a solid choice. I've always had pretty good experiences at this particular location from the drinks, apps, dinner, and now brunch I can say this is a solid 4 stars. I'm going to write this review about their brunch because apparently nobody in Cary knows about it. My mom suggested Bonefish for brunch after visiting a few weeks ago with a friend of hers. I actually had no idea that Bonefish offered brunch and after looking at the menu I was pretty excited. Bang Bang shrimp eggs benedict, Oscar omelet, shrimp creole omelet, french toast, homemade Bloody Mary's and more. I was thinking this place would be packed on a Sunday for brunch at 11:30am but it was empty and we easily sat at a table for six. Our waitress was awesome and super patient while we waited on my always late little bro. Everyone enjoyed their food entrees the fam ordered: Surf and Turf eggs benedict (filet mignon & lobster, oscar omelet (crab, asparagus, mozzarella and lemon butter, french toast, shrimp creole omelet, western omelet, and bang bang shrimp tacos. All the dishes were cooked perfectly, came out at the same time and were delicious. I love that you get a choice of steamed asparagus or au gratin potatoes as a side and even though I was trying to be healthy I ended up taking a bite of everyone's potatoes they were the bomb. Huge brunch menu plus plenty of lunch options including fresh fish. The menu ranges in price quite a bit but for breakfast you could get plenty of food from $9 - $15. As a brunch fanatic I'll definitely keep Bonefish on my list! read more

I'm not a native North Carolinian but they sure are really sweet here. The wait staff at Bonefish was awfully nice and helpful with the menu. Then again, the waitress went through the specials and the wine list rather quickly. I mean, I didn't really find a point because we ended up looking at the menu to re-cap everything she went over. In any case, it was a business dinner and that's what made it all the more fun. I had a blast, good conversation, and great food. For appetizers, we shared seared ahi tuna and the Bang Bang Shrimp. For dinner, I had the Deluxe Grill Mix, which included scallops, jumbo shrimp, swordfish, and a crab cake. I had the Pan Asian sauce with my meal and it was very flavorful and had a kick to it. For dessert, we actually shared the Chocolate Brownie cake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. We also had the Key Lime pie. Not too tart but not sickly sweet. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. It was way better than eating at Red Lobster (although Red lobster drop biscuits are insanely good). I would totally eat here again. read more

I can't say how disappointing of an experience that we had last night. But, I'm going to try! We've eaten here a few times before and enjoyed ourselves those times, but this time was different. The lack of parking was a problem in that we almost gave up when a spot finally opened up. Not technically not Bonefishes fault, but an aspect of our experience none the less. Then we were given a totally unrealistic wait time that turned out to be about 40 minutes off. Now, I've worked in restaurants before and recognized that they were being slammed, which I'm cool with, but it would have been nice if they had been more honest or at least reasonable with their estimate of what our wait time would be. Then, no effort was made to explain the delay. When we inquired we were then given a new, unrealistic wait time that they once again exceeded! When we finally were seated and our server took our drink order, she did little to hide her disappointment when both my wife and I "only" ordered water to drink. It was obvious that we weren't going to be a big ticket, so I guess that she didn't expect much of a tip?? Anyway, she performed the minimum, but not with any level of enthusiasm. My wife had the soft shell crab, which was good. I had the shrimp and scallop firepot, which was tasty, but only had three or four small scallops. Anyway, overall very disappointing! read more

We're here for the $45 per person tasting menu! It looks delish!! Along with a modern twist on a classic bourbon drink with Maker's 46. We ate a great Caesar salad. A very light and fluffy, mildly spiced pumpkin creme brûlée! Awesome meal! read more

Had an excellent meal at the Bonefish Grill in Cary, NC last night. exactly what I was looking for. So I would never typically review a chain restaurant.... but!.... this place saved my life on Tuesday night. The Cary Bonefish is the closest restaurant to my daughters prek.... i was tired, starving and hadn't eaten since a 10:30 breakfast sandwich, and about to fall on the floor or eat someones face if i didn't get food into me.... my 5 year old suggested Bonefish and I kid you not, they had a salad in front of me in less than 5 min. Best service I've had, maybe ever?, and I wish I remembered the waitresses name, but food was phenomenal, and i never had a thought of want throughout the whole meal. I felt genuinely taken care of and the atmosphere was perfect for a wind down after my day. I fear Bonefish may become a little more consistent than i can afford given the proximity... - thank God my girl moves schools in less than 5 months or I'd be in trouble! Eats: Salad, bread and pesto oil (best ever and my daughter raved and savored each bite too... so cute!) Rare fillet and crabcake with mashed potatoes, greenbeans, and squash. Vodka tonic. Phenomenal, melt in your mouth, pretty much describes the whole meal... dressing on salad was perfect/lite, the beans were PERFECTLY seasoned and blanched for the perfect bite , .... the drink, ideal. I was not taken with the crabcake, but it was actually for Ava not me, and she was in HEAVEN - and although she hates spice, it had a kick and she still loved it.... (I'm a crab purist, and only eat crablegs - maybe it's a texture thing). Literally one of the nicest dinner dates with my girl I've ever had, that left me feeling totally reset to enjoy the rest of my night :)... THANK you!!! ava's highlights: the pesto oil/bread, mashed potatoes, and my steak... sneaky child. read more

Its a chain, I know but its sooo good. I always get the steak and crabcakes and its always great. It looks small when you get it but its surprisingly filling. Last time I went I also got some Sangria and YUMMY! The fruit was super good, I think they put peaches in it? Also, they do take reservations and take special requests. We always ask for a booth and they have been very accommodating. It is pricey but the quality and service is there. Also, the seating is very tight if you get a table, ask for a booth! read more

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Bonefish Frill on a Saturday night. Parking wasn't much of an issue for us, but I can see how it could get a bit tricky. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but we were seated immediately at a bistro table for two. The tables were a bit crowded together and the room was rather loud. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, our food arrived promptly and was prepared to perfection! The hot bread was tasty and side salad with citrus vinaigrette house dressing was refreshing on a hot summer evening. I ordered the nightly special- Atlantic tripletail with gorgonzola cream sauce topped with spinach and crispy bacon bits, a size of parmesan squash and zucchini. Typically I prefer shellfish to fish but this entree was outstanding. It was by far the best fish I've even eaten. Great job Bonefish! read more

Chains don't usually get my praise, but I have to add my delighted cheer to the chorus on this one. Either this chain has really high standards, or they're really, REALLY good at managing their microwaves and heat lamps. I'm guessing it's the former instead of the latter, because Bonefish is excellent and has always been, every time I've ever gone to visit it. The family now flip-flops between Bonefish and An for special occasions. I've had their fish tacos, their fish 'n chips (which is particularly excellent), their shrimp, their scallops, their mussels -- hell, Bonefish Grill is the restaurant that turned me into a shellfish-lover to begin with, and inadvertently set me stumbling down the path to learning how to cook shellfish. Or trying to learn how to... sniff. Uh, anyway, if you've been hesitating to try this out, don't. Go. (Also, I'd like to humbly request that Renaissance Park Place please stop monopolizing all of the best eateries. Seriously, the SAS employees can live with a little bit of a drive.) read more

So impressed with how Bonefish Grill helped us feel at ease while dining out during this crazy time! We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, while we were apprehensive because of the Coronavirus starting to get closer to home, we still carried on with the plan. They took extra precautions by keeping unnecessary things off the tables. I noticed things I hadn't even thought of like...only wrapped straws for drinks from the bar, a place to throw away paper towels after you've opened the restroom doors. Small things go along way! Not to mention our food was excellent, not a single complaint, the servers were very attentive but not intrusive, and we never felt rushed. We really enjoyed our celebration, it was a great! My husband and I went here the other day and had the best time! We were craving seafood and came here based on Yelp reviews. All the staff were friendly right from the moment we walked in. I ordered the Fresh apple martini and it is absolutely delish! Not your normal sour appletini but more of a cider with cinnamon. I am still dreaming about this drink! Fresh bread with pesto and oil came with our meal and I do not think a crumb was left over. My husband ordered the bang bang tacos with a ceasar salad and their house made chips and he highly recommends it. He also got the key lime pie for dessert. I ordered a special (don't know the name) that included a 6 oz sirloin with lobster and crab meat on top, garlic mashed potatoes, and veggies. This was our 5th or 6th visit. Overall, it's generally a great experience. We've been with and without kids. Nice atmosphere, prices on par with other local restaurants, great cocktails and our favorite thing is the specials-food and seasonal cocktails! Tonight started with coconut shrimp which never disappoints. For our entrees we had Atlantic salmon with jasmine rice and seasonal vegetables and the Bang bang shrimp tacos & house salad which were amazing. What really sets this place apart is their willingness to go above and beyond for customer service. This was the 3rd time they offered something for our picky eater toddler that wasn't actually on the menu (blueberries & strawberries). In the past they offered a grilled cheese and ice cream. No other restaurant that I can think of will do that. Kudos! Service is the only thing can sometimes be iffy here. Usually it's good here but sometimes when they're busy you won't see the waitstaff for awhile. That would be the only complaint. Overall would definitely recommend! read more
