Birthday Box for Dogs
Aja M.

A last minute #ThankYouThursday to a great local shop that helped me out for a last minute gift! I was looking for a special something for my friend's fur baby's birthday and forgot to order a gift in advance. Luckily, I called Bone-Ito and had an adorable custom-made birthday box ready to be picked up by the next day! While the gift could have been ready later that day, since I did have some time to spare, the amazing people at Bone-ito said they could put the pup's name on a cookie to really personalize the gift. The next day when I picked it up, I had a super cute box filled with freshly baked biscuit treats decorated with the puppy's name and one shaped in the number 2 for his second birthday! In addition there were all sorts of toys, accessories like bowties, treats, poop bags, bubbles, and more! While I've been in Bone-ito before, this was definitely the most memorable experience! You can tell that they are real animal lovers there! I highly recommend calling in for a birthday box for your special furry friends!

Ok, next time Sheela gets to go.

A great shop for treats and accessories for your four legged friends. One Friday a month the offer nail trims for $10 donation to the Nevada French Bulldog Rescue. There's a small case of cute baked goods for the pups. A great selection of leashes and collars. Various shampoos. Three large washing stations in a separate room- complete with aprons and dryers. Several choices of dry and refrigerated foods. And of course toys and treats. Great friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Water dish, poop station and grassy area right out front.

Dog wash

We love their dog wash! And they carry lots of treats We have a dog wash 5 mins from our place, but rather travel 20 mins to this place to use their facility instead. The wash has an automatic shampoo dispenser, cut down wash time dramatically and efficiently get shampoo into the dense hair. They carry k9 II high velocity hair dryer, great for dogs with a lot hair. It was my wishlist item to buy for home grooming :) The dog wash can be adjusted up and down, great for large dog getting in and out. We also adjust the height while bathing. No more back pain! Area is clean and doesn't smell like wet dog Recommend to bring own cotton balls to plug the dog ears.

This is my new favorite dog store! They offer premium food brands in different sizes. Some stores will ask you to special order bigger size bags, but im happy to be able to get them whenever I stop in. They offer enrichment lickmats/bowls and all kinds of toppers and treats for your furry family member.

8/4/2022 If my dogs could write, they would be Elite Yelper's! (They follow my lead 24/7)... In the area and wanted to stop in. The dogs have been in a resistant feeding .. not wanting their normal food. Stresses me out a little, so I have been trying different techniques.. with toppers. Store is really cute inside and fully stocked with merchandise.. I picked out a topper and will post the pic and video of their thoughts on it.. Glad I stopped in..

The fun Easter charcuterie board and dog treats!

I wanted to take time to give some love to this wonderful local pet shop! If you are looking for unique things for your furry baby you need to stop by! The owner is wonderful and everyone who works there is so friendly. I especially love how they will have fun things for your furry babies for various holidays! My personal favorite is the dog charcuterie board - which is a must! It comes with a wood dog bone platter where you get all sorts of treats to have the best dog day ever! Also, they are always finding fun ways that you can have more memories with your pets. For Easter they had fun little dog art projects that were inexpensive and brought so much enjoyment to my family and of course our dogs!

If you're following, GPS, it takes you to the back of the store. You need to carry-on to go down the pathway to the strip like mall.

I love everything about this place. First of all, this is owned by a woman. Second of all she is the founder of Noah's Animal House, which allows people who are escaping domestic violence to take their pets with them. It's something that some of us have the privilege not to have to think about, but there are tons of people in terrible situation, because they don't wanna leave their pets. Anyways, the store is Hella cute. It has all the cute little things you want to take home to your furry friend. This will definitely be on my list of favorites. Anytime we visit Reno. It feels like you're in some fancy rich community in Napa.

Stopped by for some birthday supplies for my pups

Love this place! Every time I'm in the Rancharrah area, I stop by to get my two fur children something. My latest visit was to pick up some birthday items for my youngest who is turning 4 next week. I purchased cake mix, ice cream, treats, birthday hats, and toys. When checking out, the clerk saw the obvious theme and threw in some wrapped treats, and bagged the items up, including tissue paper, like it was a real present. I also appreciate this place because of the pet food selection they carry. Before I started making my dog's food, I fed them Open Farm because it's the only pet food that is humanely sourced and each bag's ingredients are traceable and recyclable. When I used to feed them Open Farm, I couldn't find a local store that carried it. I would have to order it online for delivery or ask other partner pet shops to order it for me so I could pick it up. This store has everything you need for your fur babies!

Love this cute store! I've only been here a handful of times, but they have so many good variety for your fur babies. My favorite part is that they also sell cbd treats and also carry glacier peak products. I like to get my holiday gifts and treats from here, because obviously by babies deserve something extra special during that time! They carry high quality food and treats, which I appreciate because my babies have a lot of food allergies. Definitely stop by here for your fur babies, and even bring them in with you!

It's a fun store her homemade dog treats are great I had my little dog with me and he liked all the treats I got for him. They also donate proceedings to the domestic violence program. they have all kinds of food and treats and leashes and dog beds that really nice place the location is Harrahranch. The lady that helped me I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She was very helpful.

Ham ready for his bath at Bone-Ito
Alli W.

I took my dog Ham here for the first time for the self-wash baths. It was great! I've always washed him myself at home and the set up at Bone-Ito is amazing, plus I let him pick out a treat afterward from their amazing selection. Once you start an account, every 6th wash is free. We will definitely be back!

Goodies for the little bitch!

My dog suddenly refused to eat her kibble, so I went to bone-ito and they gave me a bag of refrigerated food for her to try...it's fully cooked and ready to go. First time my dog is trying it and she's finally eating again! #lifesavers

For the fun it gave our little Rubicon it was worth the price.

Ask the Community - Bone-Ito

Are you still having anyone come out for the nail trimmings? If so, when is the next one scheduled?

Hi Jimmy. Thank you so much for asking. Unfortunately, she retired and I am actively seeking a replacement. We loved offering this to our guests every month. Hope your new year is off to a great start.

What is the price for self wash?

Hi Gayleen. Our hydraulic self wash units make each wash feel like a spa visit for your pup. Cost is $20.00 and includes everything you need. After (5), the 6th one is… Read more

Doyou guys carry the open farm brand?

Yes they do!! I am so happy a local store finally has the brand on the shelves.

Do you need a reservation for the dog wash station?

Hi Leslie. Thanks for asking about our self wash stations. No reservation required. We have three units and they are available anytime during our store hours. Sundays: 10am-5pm and every other day 10am-6pm. We hope to see you and your pampered… Read more

However, the staff are also limited by the realities of working in pet retail. Are they doing their best to care for the animals? I'd say yes. Is it enough for the animals to stay healthy? I'd say no. As an experienced fishkeeper, I want to provide a 'buyer beware' for the local hobbyist community. The aquatic systems are being pushed past their biological limits. I observed overstocking in the fish tanks into 'ammonia spike' territory. Some of the fish have clamped dorsal fins. Petco is also keeping larger koi fish and faster comets together with smaller fancy goldfish. This creates too much food competition and stresses out the slower fish that struggle to get enough to eat. If you've ever purchased a fish here that dies shortly afterwards, these are likely some of the reasons: toxic water levels, starvation, and conditions you won't see until the fish you've bought dies a few days later. A 'Wellness' brand should know that fancy goldfish require stable parameters and specific GH/KH levels that a centralized big-box 'loop' simply cannot provide. If Petco (not this store, but the corporation) can't manage the basic science of a fish tank, I certainly don't trust them with my cats' specialized diets or needs. If you need basic cat and dog supplies, Petco is fine for that. It's the "Walmart" of the pet retailer world. But for serious specialized fish care? Save your money and get your fish and supplies from a reputable retailer who doesn't treat live animals like disposable inventory. Or better yet, adopt from another hobbyist who can no longer care for their fish.

Roy told me that in the middle of the day it's very quiet it's just the opening it's very busy. We decided to wait and of course the people ahead of us were going to do a full job making sure every single part of fur was dry... I liked that they had lots of towels so there isn't a limit. The shampoo and conditioner are really good quality and left his fur super soft and shiny. Our dog, "Sawyer" isn't a fan of this but just stands there and accepts the process. I had wanted to go to this location since it opened 1 1/2 years ago. The place is very clean and well maintained. Cameron and Roy were on duty Thursday and were so nice and helpful. They clean out the tubs after each dog, I was happy since the dog ahead of us had left a ton of black fur behind.
