Bond 45 was beautiful, the food was delicious, the service was great! I went on a Wednesday evening with a group of 4 other friends before our musical. The location was perfect for walking afterwards to the theatre. Every dish we ordered from the salads to the main dishes (most of us had pasta dishes, one had fish). All worth the prices. All around great choice for a special occasion or right before any of the Broadway shows. The anti-pasto bar is displayed in such a tantalizing manner; I had to take photos of that too. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and Caesar Salad, and it was well cooked and flavorful; I am usually afraid to order chicken, but this was well done. i was able to make the reservations a week in advance for a party of 5 through OpenTable, so that was super convenient.

Bond 45 221 W. 46th. St. New York, NY 10036 This beautiful restaurant is located in the heart of Times Square inside the Edison Hotel. First and foremost, the service from the primary server and busboy were excellent. They were both very attentive by keeping my water glass full and they always stopped by to collect any plates I no longer needed. Cutlet was gigantic and pounded thin; the breading gave it a nice crunch. The small chicken bone on the side of the cutlet was a nice decorative touch. The sauce had fresh chunks of tomatoes and complimented the CP. Parmesan Cheese was freshly grated with a cheese grater. The mozzarella cheese needed to be melted down a bit more; wasn't charred enough and was too gooey. Although the $13 up charge for the five spaghetti pomodoro was a bit pricey, I was still grateful there was an up charge option to begin with. Otherwise, I would have had to purchase an entire pasta entree. The undercooked mozzarella cheese was the main downside to the plate. Otherwise, it was tasty and the service was beyond superior. #bond45 #chickenparmreview #bond45timessquare #chickenparmesan

This restaurant screams elegant as soon as you walk through the door. I made a reservation beforehand and was immediately shown to my seat. Our food was amazing. I highly recommend the bruschetta as a starter. I got the pasta carbonara for my main dish. It was delicious, so of course I knew I had to get a dessert. Our service was amazing the entire night. We got in and out the door in time to see our show and enjoyed a very nice dinner.

I'm always a little hesitant about dining in very tourist-heavy areas, and this restaurant is located right in the Theater District. My niece made the reservation because of its close proximity to our 7:00 pm show. They recommend booking no later than 4:30-4:45 pm for a 7:00 pm curtain, and after our experience, I agree. We arrived a little after 5:00 pm due to my flight and commute into the city and still made it out around 6:40 pm, but there were only two of us. With a larger party, you'd definitely be cutting it close. The staff overall was friendly. Our server wasn't particularly warm, but he did offer excellent recommendations for our entrées. We ordered the Toasted Garlic Loaf, Little Gem Caesar Salad, Housemade Ricotta Ravioli with Mushroom Ragu, and the Mediterranean Branzino al Forno, along with a Bond Cup and a glass of Prosecco. The mushroom ravioli and branzino were the standouts and both were flavorful and well prepared. They also surprised me with a special birthday presentation, which was a very cute and thoughtful touch. Overall, this is a solid option if you're looking for a reliable meal before or after a show for the good food, convenient location, and a smooth enough experience to get you to the theater on time.

We came during restaurant week, which was a happy accident! We had the meatballs which were some of the best I've ever had. The chicken parm was fantastic and was pounded out to perfection and took up the entire plate! I'd highly recommend! The pasta alla vodka was a bit spicy but was good, nonetheless. Our server was amazing. We never wanted for anything and his recommendations were spot on. This was a great place to come for lunch.

Ok let's start with the good. Great location if you're going to a broadway show. The place is pretty big inside most of the patrons are actually seated in the basement which is a pretty good size. When we went, it was a little bit warm down there. The staff are all professionals our waiter checked in multiple times and took great care of us, you can tell they train their staff quite well. Onto the food, I had the chicken parmigiana which was fine. I asked for a side of rigatoni but you only get spaghetti so I had to pay extra. Drinks are def on the higher end. Martinis are $20. The presentation is nice, the drinks are flavorful and aromatic but not potent. Our bill was almost $400 without tip for two adults and two children.

Stopped in for a drink before the show. Average drink with a hefty price. The presentation of the drink was nice, but it had a bitter taste. Server was absent for a while so it took a while to order and a while to pay - place was on the empty side. Sadly won't be back, but it was close to Broadway. Did not grab food, so I can't speak on that.

Dinner here before a show. Close to the theaters so get here early. It fills up quick. Service was good until it got busy and then it was hard to track down our server. Food was decent but I've had Italian done a lot better. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. The fried artichokes and the Gorgonzola focaccia were amazing. Nice older vibe inside. Make a reservation and go early.

Very expensive. There are many other Italian restaurants nearby at lower price points. This giant two story restaurant has only 5 or 6 unisex bathroom stalls with long lines--a fact that would keep me from returning. It has a great location and good food. Vegetable appetizers very good. Interesting salads. We shared a good lasagna and pizzas looked great. Pricey Branzino fish was small for the price. Glad to have tried this theater district option one time. The ambiance is dark Manhattan style with jacketed waiters and theater murals. The waiters were nice.

Dessert. Tiramisu

We were going to the theater and had lunch first at Bond 45. Never been there and was pleasantly surprised. Service was impeccable. Food choices for the price fix was ample for the time of day and servings were not cut in half. Took most of it home Started out with a caprese salad that was very fresh, cold and the cheese just melted in your mouth. Ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was as big as the round plate itself. The Tiramisu was light and delicious. Walked out full but not stuffed. The ambiance welcomed you right in with their display of cold salads and appetizers. Yes, I would go back

Came here before a show on Saturday night, with a reservation. Restaurant is inviting when you first walk in, and we were greeted and sat right away. We had what seemed like the smallest, little round table in the middle of the restaurant, but the food more than made up for it. First our server was great, made great suggestions, and everything he told us about and described, was spot on and worth it. I had the lasagna and it was honestly, one of the most delicious Italian meals I've ever had. It's not your typical lasagna, it's in 3 rolls and with béchamel. It's a unique take on the classic and I can not recommend it enough. My husband had a stuffed pasta which he also said was great, but the portion was on the smaller side. We ran out before we could order dessert to catch the show we were seeing, but I will definitely be back!

After seeing Hamilton, we popped into Bond 45 since it was right across the street. We're so glad we did! The service and food were absolutely amazing. The added touch was Ava. Her vibrant personality and fantastic recommendations made the experience even more special. Thank you, Ava, for adding to our wonderful trip to New York. We will definitely be back to visit you again!

Yep. That's my booze cup from my matinee.
Jenny S.

Deb and I had dinner here in between theater shows. We started with the burrata and I also ordered Italian wedding soup along with a carbonara. The soup was a knockout, honestly some of the best I have ever had. The carbonara, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown and lacked flavor. Our server was attentive and charming, and the interior gave off nice Italian vibes. Overall, the experience was solid, and the soup alone made it worth the stop, but I probably would not be rushing back just for the main courses.

Bond 45 Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Bond 45

Is formal attire needed?

No. Business casual will be appropriate.

Do they still play live music on Monday and Tuesday nights?

I was told recently by friends who came in from out of town that they do play live music there but they did not comment on which nights.

Does Bond 45 have a kids menu?

No kids menu but a solid starters menu and pizza. They will make whatever kind you want and they are small enough for your kiddo. The entire portion are generous so if your child has an adventurous palette you could share...

Does this restaurant have homemade pasta?

Yes, they do, it's "a la carte" in small dish portions... and the pappardelle with salted butter was really delicious.

This used to be Florian, right? Do they have that lobster pizza Florian used to have?

I don't think this is the same place.Bond 45 used to be down the street on 45th south of 8th before they moved to 46th north of 8th. I don't recall seeing that on the menu.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
