Potato mozzarella pizza and Pepperoni Pizza
Kelly K.

My husband had Bonci pizza last night. Pepperoni and potato mozzarella. I eat gluten free non celiac and tasted both. I wanted to like the potato mozzarella pizza however it really didn't taste like potato at all. Pepperoni is flavorful and reminded me of some type of pizza from the past I can't recall. We got pizza delivered via Door Dash minimum is 2 slices each. Bonci is truly a great way to try different pizza flavors without investing in an entire pizza pie! Hopefully someday the restaurant will offer a gluten sensitive pizza for some of us who do not have celiac and must refrain from eating all gluten and other allergens.

Chicken Parm Pizza

Definitely comparable to the one in Rome. They are doing a great job. Pizza is priced reasonably and the toppings are excellent. The cheeses, flour and many toppings are imported from Italy and taste very high quality.

My favorite Italian spot in Naperville! Definitely check it out if you're in the area. We came for…read moredinner, and there's both outdoor seating and a ginormous interior with plenty of tables. It's definitely a good spot for larger groups. Our server was also super knowledgeable about the menu and walked us through which pastas and pizzas were the most popular, which ones were seasonal, and which ones get rotated out. I really appreciated the recommendations because there were so many things I wanted to try. We ordered: - Short rib gnocchi: The short rib was extremely tender and basically disintegrated as soon as you touched it. The gnocchi paired really well with it too. - BBQ chicken pizza: We ordered both the Margherita pizza and BBQ chicken and I would definitely get the BBQ chicken again. The sauce had the perfect amount of tanginess and savory flavor without overpowering the pizza. - Chicken parmigiana: Don't skip this! The chicken had the perfect amount of savory flavor and worked so well with the tomato sauce and vodka rigatoni. This ended up being one of my favorites of the meal. I was so glad we were able to order and try so many different dishes. This is definitely a family-style kind of spot, so if you come with a larger group, you'll get to try a lot more options. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their rotating dishes!

3-Star Review - Gia Mia…read more The food and overall experience were worth recommending, but unfortunately, our first interaction with the hostess/greeter was disappointing. The Hispanic woman with long hair who greeted us seated us at a table right by the entrance. We politely asked if another table was available because we preferred not to sit directly in the path of people coming in and out. She rolled her eyes and walked away without saying a word. When another table finally became available, she brought us over, and we both thanked her about twice. She wouldn't even look at us or acknowledge our thanks and simply walked away. Her attitude came across as very rude and unwelcoming, and it left a bad first impression. On the other hand, our waitress was wonderful! She was kind, polite, and welcoming, and she did an excellent job throughout our experience. She deserves recognition for her great service. I would still recommend Gia Mia, but I hope management addresses the importance of hospitality with the greeting staff. The hostess is often the first person customers interact with, and unfortunately, this experience made us feel unwelcome before we even had a chance to enjoy our meal. Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, especially when making a simple, polite request. It would have been 5 stars if it weren't for that first interaction!

Fiamme, on Washington is a comfortable Italian restaurant…read more There is a tiny parking lot - the size of a postage stamp. Be prepared to park in the street. The staff is helpful and attentive. The menu is not huge; but You will find what you need.

Came to Fiammé for a business dinner. I started with one of their mules, which was pretty decent,…read morejust a standard mule. We also shared the arancini as an appetizer. I've had some really great arancini before, and these were alright. The sauce was the highlight, with a nice flavor and a slight kick to it. We were told the pizzas were personal-sized, so everyone in our group ordered their own. When they arrived, they were huge. I went with the Fredo, a more traditional-style pizza, and it was pretty solid with good toppings and flavor. Others at the table ordered the Detroit-style pizzas, and they looked incredible, I wish I had taken some photos. The general consensus was that the pizzas were a bit too bready, but they had good flavor, great presentation, and a nice crispy crust. Service was okay. It took a while for our server to take our order, and I wish we had been advised to share a few pizzas instead of ordering individually. We all ended up taking most of our pizzas to go, but with dinners planned throughout the rest of the trip, they unfortunately didn't get eaten later. Overall, a decent spot with solid pizza and generous portions.
