While it was great to find a Bonchon in NC I wished the flavors and portions were consistent with prior experiences. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but having experienced Bonchon many times before moving to NC I was expecting the same flavors. Any way, the service was great, staff was taking care of us and everyone else very well and in a timely manner. The ambience was nice, enjoyable. There was plenty of room so customers did not feel cramped in a small space. If ever in the vicinity I would just but the chicken which had great flavors as well as a nice crunch to it. read more

Bonchon Raleigh - Capital Blvd - Bonchon drumsticks and wings! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

This was my first time a this Bonchon. The inside of the restaurant was clean and nicely appointed. The two young men taking takeout orders were polite and kind, as well as very patient when I needed them to explain the menu and the different flavors. We received our meal promptly, even though it was busy. So, that was much appreciated. I had specifically asked for soy sauce for my two orders of fried rice. I should have checked my order. I know!!! But Jason seemed so professional and competent. I thought he had it under control. I didn't get the SOY SAUCE! Boy, was I mad! I promptly called to ask what were they going to do to make it right. While apologetic, when Jason responded he asked if could come back and get some. I told him I was staying in the Fairfield Inn down the street and could someone be passing by and drop some off. That was not possible. He said we will take care of you the next time you come in. I said I live in New England and don't know if I will ever be back. The food was tasty overall and my husband loved his Spicy Chicken. I just thought when you make a concerted effort to say that this was important. Your request would be taken seriously, especially when you spend over $60 and leave a tip for takeout! Word to the wise...CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE YOU LEAVE. read more

Bonchon Raleigh - Capital Blvd - But - Chicken Wings Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

I probably ordered the wrong thing here, I didn't want to mess with messy wings so I got the chicken sandwich. It came with fries but no drink for $14. I guess I had expected it to be the best chicken sandwich I've had, but it was pretty lackluster to say the least. For one I thought it would have a crispy coating, but the coating was mushy, perhaps because it had been coated in a sauce. I think Popeyes chicken sandwich is a hundred times better than this for a fraction of the price. Also the French fries tasted old, like they had been sitting around under a heat lamp for a while. My last complaint about this place is it's basically a fast food restaurant that they have set up for table service, So of course I had to tip the server which brought my very disappointing lunch to $20. I don't think I would be back, but I would consider trying their wings maybe they are much better than the sandwich. And I definitely would skip the fries next time. read more

The chicken here is super crunchy and flavorful. I've tried the soy garlic, classic crunch, and Korean BBQ--each one is delicious, but the soy garlic is my favorite. Both the wings and drumsticks are a great size, and the bulgogi fries are also tasty. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

Usually come here around 11-12pm for there fried wings and beer. Always buzzed by the time I'm out but wings here a solid 7/10. Love the crunch to it and fries are good as well. I will say there spicy wings had me overthinking that one time but it's been a minute, might have to pull up for some wings. Beers could be better but does the trick Service is good for sure and atmosphere feels legit read more

I'm not even gonna lie, these are some of the most solid chicken wings in the area! I do wish they were a tad bit bigger but a solid wing for sure. With a simple menu, everything they have to offer is delicious. Great staff and even better location! read more

Upon walking in i was greeted by very a nice hostess. I was quickly seated and then approached by my server. I asked for a water that I never received and an order of fried rice. I ate half my food and my server never came back. He was walking around to a couple of other tables but it was not busy inside. The fried rice itself was okay. Could have used a bit more of a salt factor and some more character but it was good as a baseline. read more

Delicious! Extra crispy, spicy wings! If you want wings, this is your joint. Flavorful rice cakes with fried, nori wrapped rice in a spicy broth. Mmm. Great service. Worth the wait! read more

I love bonchon!! Wether you get your fried chicken spicy or not, it taste AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend the Korean bbq and the garlic flavor fried chicken if you get half and half. Service is also great and fast, I get my food rather quickly. If I could ask to change anything, I'd ask for the sides for the chicken to be a better variety. Pickled radish and coleslaw are the options. Great chicken tho! read more

I've been wanting to try Bonchon for years and now there's finally one near me! We had the soy garlic wings and the fried rice and both were amazing! The wings were super crunchy and so flavorful! The food was excellent! I got 10 strips and House Fried Rice with chicken. And I enjoy every bit of it. I tried to finish it all there but, that was not happening. I had to take the rest home and enjoyed it the next day. I forgot to take a picture of my food. Because, I was ready to eat when it arrived at my table. Oh yeah! The environment is a nice vibe for getting food with your significant other or hanging out with friends. read more

The wife and I are huge fans of Korean food and this place does not disappoint. Everything we tried was delicious (spicy means spicy here!), And many of the items that we didn't get to try, we were sad that we couldn't in a single sitting. Everything was so good. Our server was a gem, and considering the amount of food we ordered everything came rather quickly. The restaurant seems very new and well taken care of. It has a few TVs set to sports channels and there is a bar with both national and international drinks. I'd drive a long way to eat here again. Thank you for being here Bon Chon! 감사합니다! read more

Wonderful Raleigh addition! It's located at Plantation Square..(I know, can't believe in all these decades the name HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED? ) Nonetheless, there's parking and a few other neat shops one may visit while grabbing some pretty good Korean Fried Chicken! Of course, the menu is decent, and I found the staff to exhibit exceptional customer service We ordered the half-and-half wing and the plain House Fried Rice with half/half sweet tea. The chicken is extra crispy and crunchy, moist with the delicious sauce section flavors. We chose the pickled radish for our complementary side.. Its sweetness and vinegar finish goes very well with both the chicken and rice. Side note: If you've had Soo Café (here in Raleigh, NC), please keep in mind Bonchon is a Korean Fried Chicken chain.. So, one just might taste the difference. read more

Had medium spicy chicken with steamed rice. Politew, prompt service. Would go again.

I love everything about Bonchon! Food comes out relatively quick. & it always hot and tastes amazing! One of my go to places.

I went to BonChon's soft opening at the Capital Boulevard location today! It's super exciting to have a new location open up! My friend and I ordered the small bone in wings and legs combo with half and half (spicy and soy garlic), small boneless combo half and half. We also got a side of seasoned fries and an order of buldak. If you like spicy, this fried chicken is no joke. I was definitely tearing up! I loved both flavors of fried chicken! I am personally more a fan of bone in. If you have had fried chicken in other locations, such as Chicken Bee in Durham and Korean Kitchen in Wake Forest, the main difference in the chicken is that it's a lighter breading here with the same pack of flavor. I enjoy both kinds so I don't have a preference here! I've never tried the buldak before, and it was a great main dish on its own to have with rice! The rice cakes were soft but still chewy, and the spice was kicking, but not as extreme as the chicken! There was definitely a lot of protein in this dish, and with the cheese and the spicy sauce it goes really well with rice! The fries were also delicious in that it's well seasoned and is a great side to the chicken! Also, part of my 5 stars is also due to the great service! The owner came to check on how we enjoyed our food, and the waiter made sure our drinks were always filled! read more

Oh man....Korean Chicken redefines fried chicken and this place excels at Korean chicken. The outside crunches and the inside was moist, juicy, and tender. I cannot express how delicious those legs and wings were. The boa buns were outstanding with pork belly and Korean coleslaw. They come 3 to an order and are filling and flavorful. Finally, they have bulgolgi and japchea if fried chicken isn't your thing. This place is amazingly delicious and I highly reccomend. read more

The ambiance and staff are very friendly at this location for starters. I ordered the lunch special and while the wings are flavor they a way too big. The outside crunch was amazing and the meat was cooked but tue skin is extremely gooey, slimy, and wet which made the me feel like the meat was uncooked. Maybe get smaller wings because the wetness of the skin made me gag while eating lunch. Wings shouldn't be the same size as a drumsticks. read more

"Soo cafe"has far better wings than bonchon and are not stingy with their sauce. At Soo cafe your wings will actually be covered with sauce and then some and are crispier. And greater portions. read more

Unfortunately my dine in experience at Bonchon recently was very disappointing. It was just two of us and when we were sat, we waited over 15 minutes until our server came to us. Now i would have understood since it was a bit busy but it was even more frustrating when the people next to us who got sat after us had got attended almost immediately. On top of the poor service, I later found out I was wrongly charged almost $60 when we had only ordered the $40 deal for two. Other than that, the food is amazing and exactly what it looks like in the picture but I don't think i'll be dining in again after this awful experience. read more

As recommended by another reviewer I ordered my 10 wings "half and half" so i could try two different sauces (Soy garlic and Korean BBQ.) It came with a side of cole slaw and was ready within 5 minutes. The wings were large and meaty; fried to a lovely crisp with exactly the right amount of sauce (flavorful but not dripping wet.) Both sauces were satisfying and the coleslaw was a nice crunchy side. I thought it was a good value and the only thing that failed to impress was the packaging for the chicken. The box was soggy by the time i got home, I would definitely come here again for tasty take out read more

This place is delicious. It has a relaxed, family atmosphere. The young guy at the counter is always friendly and smiles. The food... wonderful, flavorful and very filling. Uh yum! We went here based off a recommendation from a local TikTok creator. I wish I could remember who he is. He's attends NC State, reviews local Raleigh places, has a great attitude. Anyways, thanks for the recommendation. Back to the review. The food was really good. It was busy and the staff was keeping up, with positive vibes. Totally try a little if everything. The bulgogi cheesy rice was relatively average. We also got some soy garlic and bbq bone-in wings that were very good.

I haven't enjoyed Korean food since relocating from NYC. I was excited to hear that Bonchon was coming to Raleigh. I placed a delivery order via UberEats to fulfill my craving. I ordered the soy garlic 10 piece. The wings arrived hot, fresh and crispy to perfection. The chicken was moist, well seasoned, and both crispy and crunchy like their slogan. Well done. read more

I got the lunch box special, it had 9 wings/legs with soy garlic sauce. It was hands down the best Korean fried chicken I had ever had. The crust was crunchy, the chicken was delicious and the soy garlic sauce was amazing. The side that I choose was picked radish. This was a mistake as a little of that is plenty, not a whole side. All in all this was delicious, I would however had liked a lunch choice that had 5 wings and maybe two sides, Coke slaw and fries. This would be better for me. I will certainly return as the menu has some delicious dinner options and the restaurant is shiny new and well lighted. read more

Whenever I have a chance to host a gathering, I will always order from Bonchon. This Bonchon on Capital allows for you to call in your order and also order online (the best way IMO). And it'll be ready within 45 mins depending on the rush hour. It's a mix of sweet and garlic, with a beautiful crunch. And the chicken wings are hearty sizes so you feel like you're getting your dollars worth :) the drumsticks are bigger than the wings so be aware when you order them. I haven't sat in the restaurant yet, but I have ordered from this location at least 3x already and will plan on ordering from here again! read more

We randomly chose to pop in and grab some food before a show on Sunday. I was waiting on a friend so I grabbed a menu and sat at the bar. Leah was super friendly and attentive as soon as I sat down. I was excited about the menu and she pointed out crowd favorites and also her personal favorites. I was not expecting to be as impressed as I was! The food was incredible. We ordered dumplings and the wings. I was dressed nicely so I wasn't sure wings were a great idea but Leah really sold me on them. I didn't care who was watching, I proudly destroyed those wings and felt like I needed a cigarette afterwards. The amount of flavor and crunch was unreal. I got the ginger soy flavor and MAN, just so good. I don't think I want any other type of wings ever again. You broke me Leah, and in the best way. Thanks for a great lunch experience and I'm just going to say it.... I just ordered from the chapel hill location of UberEats. Ok?! Do you need anymore reason to try this place? 10/10 read more

The best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! We did half soy garlic and half Korean bbq both were amazing.

Cute and clean place for lunch or dinner! When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. It is an open space with a bar up against the back wall. The chicken Katsu was crispy and the sauces were both sweet and spicy. The rice was delicious. The japchae was flavorful and full of veggies and beef. The pickled radishes were the star of the show. They were so crisp and refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness. The only thing that might not have been worth the price was the seasoned fries. They were good, but for $7+ for a small basket, I would probably skip these next time. read more
