The wings here are really good, insanely crunchy and the sauces are super flavorful. The soy garlic is my favorite, sweet but herby. The spicy sauce is good too but if you don't handle spice well your mouth will BURN. I hadn't eaten here in over 2 years, I decided to stop by and eat in this week and it was great. Wings were fresh and tasty as I remember, service was fine, and it was empty so I received the food faster. Sometimes you end up waiting a looong time for the food if it's busy, so if you're in a rush or need something on the go, this is not the place during peaks hours. Excited about trying some Korean wings we ordered the family meal the fried rice was really good with extra onions so if you're not a fan of cooked onions please tell them to make it light. Had the soy garlic wings which were excellent and plain is just super plain no flavor no salt no pepper nothing not my recommendation. We had the spicy Mayo on the side which was excellent. The veggie potstickers were really good a little over fried and extra crispy, we have a steamed shrimp shumai and that was a total winner. I came here for an early dinner on a Friday night and was surprised at how quickly my chicken wings came, despite being busy. The wings are the ONLY thing that is worth here!!! I also ordered the pork belly buns as an appetizer but they were okay. They have a lot of other stuff on their menu but again, I feel like their wings are the only thing work getting! This is my first visit to Bonchon for lunch. I arrived for a late lunch and the restaurant was empty. It had an airy feel and clean presentation. The menu featured first the fried chicken then some Korean, Japanese and fusion dishes. I opted for the small combo fried chicken with half mild and half spicy saucing. I also got the seasoned fries. The chicken was crispy with a batter-like consistency and they were sauced well. The spicy sauce had a good level of heat without being too much. The fries had a good amount of parmesan cheese and tasted like dashi. Overall the food was a bit salty but was balanced nicely by the sweet pickles. Many items on the menu had a high price point, which is enough for me not to come back again. It's good to try if you haven't had Korean fried chicken. The taste was absolutely spot on Bonchon. I was disappointed that they didn't have any ice tea (only that available in a bottle) or water (in a bottle) for purchase. My last visits to this chain require more liquid than one refill of a cup to quench the possible Bonchon spicy fire. They actually had drinks and water available (not in a bottle). This isn't a complaint about the food, I just wish this had been available. If I had known that before driving in an area I'm unfamiliar with I may have picked something else.. but none the less they had no problem with we bringing my own drink ( an ice tea) from my own car. Having said that, ordered again a couple of days ago because my husband wanted boneless wings and got a 24 piece boneless, along with some dumplings and fried pickles. The service was great! The employees all seemed so friendly and were pleasant to deal with. You walk in and sit wherever you would like and order at the registers. There are no waiters or waitresses that come to take your order. This is the type of restaurant where you basically do self service. The food was really good. We got the large combo that cam with wings and drumstick, half spicy and half soy. We also got the buldak on the side which was spicy ddeuk(rice cake) with onions, chicken, and rice! This was shared between four people! I would say that this was just enough, but you might want to order one more dish for four people, depending on how much each person eats. Ordered wings and boneless wings (soy) to see the difference between Pal Park and Ft Lee locations. Verdict? 3 stars. Boneless I wouldnt recommended since too much bread compared to the meat ratio. Basically you're eating more breadcrumbs than meat. Not their fault I suppose. The wings were no complaints. These guys are cheating out on the radish that accompanies the chicken. Unlike Bergen country locations, the size of the radish resembles sizes less than a single cheerios cereal. Stop Cheaping out just to save a buck! The containers of the cheerios radish is similar size of ketchup dipping containers at burger joints. I'm used to the large bowl sizes the franchise usually gives. I waited a day to write this hoping it would calm me down and put things in perspective; this did not happen. I did realize that incompetence is rampant and unapologetic at Bouchon Parsippany. We ordered on Sunday (the Super Bowl special" online to be picked up via curbside pickup at 5:10pm (This time was 2 hours later than the earliest time available for pick up by the way). At 5pm my wife called to see if it might be ready 10 min earlier as we were driving by only to be told that not only was it not ready now - it would not be ready for another 40 minutes. All we were given is "sorry we are swamped" excuse. OK shit happens. no worries - they lady told us it would be ready at 530pm.
