I'd heard how great Korean Fried Chicken is and decided to try this place. I ordered via yelp for a 5:30 curbside pickup. The order consisted of half and half soy garlic and spicy chicken, kimchi fried rice and bottled sodas. The order wasn't ready and I went in to inquire about the delay. There was a young guy who seemed to care less whether we got the food or not. I inquired about the order and was told that it wasn't ready. He delivered our order to the car around 5:47. It took about 20 minutes to get to my destination but the wait was definitely worth it! The chicken was so crispy and extremely flavorful. The kimchi fried rice was ok but seemed to be missing something...perhaps garlic powder. I immediately checked to see if there's a Bonchon franchise near my home and will be checking it out this weekend. Other than the service, the food was great! read more

First time ordering from here and all I have to say is that everything is 10/10 for me. We ordered about 30 wings from both the spicy and soy garlic sauces, two orders of fries, shrimp shumai, 3 orders of coleslaw, 3 orders of kimchi coleslaw and the radishes. I loved everything about the spicy chicken wings. If they have a location in my new hometown of Coral Springs, Florida I would absolutely order from there! read more

Bonchon Parsippany - Bonchon Drumstick Seasoned Fries - Chicken Wings Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

Let me start by saying I love Bonchon. It's definitely one of my top Asian food spots especially during my lunch hours. Now the inconsistency here is the only reason I won't give them 5 stars. While the food is usually great and flavorful I have had a few visits where I couldn't even finish my food. For instance the spicy wings which I can usually manage with no problem..today the spicy sauce was extreme, and I mean extreme. I could not enjoy my soy garlic wings or my fries because my mouth was literally on fire for at least a half hour. Besides the sauces sometimes the fries and wings aren't as crispy as I'd enjoy. Nonetheless I think this location is good, solid service and food. Work out those kinks and I think this could be a 5 star worthy Bonchon! read more

I set an order for pick up 24 hours in advance and I had to wait a half hour after the set pick up time for it to be ready. The food is good but having to wait a half hour for an order placed well in advance is unacceptable. read more

Excited about trying some Korean wings we ordered the family meal the fried rice was really good with extra onions so if you're not a fan of cooked onions please tell them to make it light. Had the soy garlic wings which were excellent and plain is just super plain no flavor no salt no pepper nothing not my recommendation. We had the spicy Mayo on the side which was excellent. The veggie potstickers were really good a little over fried and extra crispy, we have a steamed shrimp shumai and that was a total winner. The Taro Boba tea though had a good flavor had boba that clumped together that looked totally gross. For $70 it was worth it read more

My 5 stars is mainly for the Korean fried wings! I literally crave these wings (and usually Im not a big wing person). The double fried korean style gives it that nice crunch. And they have 3 really good flavors- the spicy one is DEF spicy so don't be fooled...but good. The sweet crunch one is good too. Other good items: Bulgogi, spicy potstickers. TIP: WINGS TAKE LONG TO COOK. Prepare to wait 20-30 mins for your order. Environment: Fast food type of place, I believe its a chain restaurant too. Plenty of tables and the cashier doubles as your waiter when your food is ready. Recommend? Yes Return? Yes read more

The worst Bonchon ever! The food was disgusting with what looked like cat whiskers in my food! I will never order from Bonchon again because of this place! read more

I looooove me some good korean fried chicken and Bonchon is my go-to spot! I always get an order of wings with half soy garlic and half spicy. Just be warned, spicy is pretty spicy! I also had the takoyaki which was better than I expected it to be. It wasn't super chewy due to the octopus so it tasted really great and the texture was perfect. I've only ordered takeout from this location and it's a really easy process. You can order online and they notify you when it's ready to pick up. A lot of times, my order is ready earlier than I was expecting. read more

The wings here are really good, insanely crunchy and the sauces are super flavorful. The soy garlic is my favorite, sweet but herby. The spicy sauce is good too but if you don't handle spice well your mouth will BURN. I hadn't eaten here in over 2 years, I decided to stop by and eat in this week and it was great. Wings were fresh and tasty as I remember, service was fine, and it was empty so I received the food faster. Sometimes you end up waiting a looong time for the food if it's busy, so if you're in a rush or need something on the go, this is not the place during peaks hours. I also decided to try the Korean tacos, they were average, probably won't get again but not bad. Def part of the top 10 wings in the area. read more

Bonchon Parsippany - Food that i order waste of Time and Money! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

This is simply some very good Korean fried chicken. Let's be honest, it's not quite on the level of Peck Peck in Teaneck. However, considering it's about 10 minutes from home vs 30-40, it's a great alternative. Add in the fact that they have an app and online ordering, and it's quite convenient. Head-scratcher, the app didn't let me make an order on the day of. Nor would it allow me to order for the weekend. Attempting to place an order via the app/online first thing this morning (Friday), the best option available was for Monday. They really need to work that out. However, I was able to call ahead, and it was ready when I was told it would be (20 minutes). We tried the spicy, soy garlic, and sweet chili, all very good. Tough to pick a favorite, but be warned, the spicy, while not devastating, may be too much for some... The french fries were crisp and on point as well. Went with an order of soy garlic potstickers as well. Perfectly cooked with a light crisp and tasty flavor. Parking is easy, as they have a pretty empty lot in a small strip mall. Conveniently located from both Route 46 and 280, right on New Road. The 8 wing/side combo for lunch is a pretty good deal. read more

My order was delivered a few minutes ago. I paid for an order of Korean donuts that were not included, no sauce as requested. Chicken is over cooked and dry to the point of almost being inedible. It's not crispy but hard as a rock. The only good item is the kimchi coleslaw. Truly sad that they call this Korean fried chicken. read more

Must be under new mgmt....it's just not the same. The chicken is not yummy anymore, unfortunately I still have the crave. The chicken is tough, chewy & not crispy. There is hardly any sauce even if requesting extra sauce on the chicken. This location now smells like grease and not that authentic bonchon smell. This chicken was so yummy back in 2019 and early 2020. Try another location because when done correctly Bonchon chicken is AMAZING. read more

We ordered chicken katsu and specified that we don't want any sauce on top, the way we've always ordered this dish elsewhere. When we got it, the chicken was topped with vinegar! We spoke with the cashier and were repeatedly told that's how it was made. After she finally texted the manager, he came in and agreed to make us another piece of chicken. This added to the longer than usual time we waited for our food to begin with. Now the kitchen staff is blasting their own music that is louder than the music being played in the dining area. It's just a mess. The re-make was what we ordered in the first place. Needless to say, this is the first and the last time we'll be here. read more

In the area, this is the best Korean fried chicken, if you don't want to trek your way to Bergen county. The soy garlic chicken will hit the spot. The Bull dak is also delicious, not as spicy as it normally can be but it's the perfect amount of spice where you can enjoy it. read more

Bonchon Parsippany - Soy garlic & spicy fried chicken - Chicken Wings Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

Omg. Im furious beyond belief. I called at 6:48pm to put in a 50 piece soygarlic wing order and they put me on hold for not 5, not 10, but 35 minutes before they HUNG up and wouldn't pick up my calls until I had to personally drive there and.. guess what i see, only 2 parties seated and NO ONE in line. What the actual fudge... not acceptable. The manager wouldnt even come out and show his/her face. Not okay. I genuinely am pissed off that they dont care about their customers and wont do anything to make up for it. Dont come here. Dont call. Dont waste your time. read more

Bonchon Parsippany - Lunch special wings & bibimpap! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

The long awaited Bonchon in Parsippany finally opened and they are yummy!!!!! I came here for an early dinner on a Friday night and was surprised at how quickly my chicken wings came, despite being busy. The wings are the ONLY thing that is worth here!!! I also ordered the pork belly buns as an appetizer but they were okay. They have a lot of other stuff on their menu but again, I feel like their wings are the only thing work getting! I ordered their 20 piece wings for about $25 I believe. Choice of soy garlic, spicy, or half and half seasoning. I love both and would recommend both! Kudos to the staff here for their fast service! I've been to other BonChons that are low staffed and unfortunately their service wasn't great. They take credit cards, no fees. Private parking in its plaza location. read more

Highly recommend their chicken. The Bibimbap was decent. Even as takeout the quality is still great. read more

I do Uber eats and every time I come to this store to pick up food it's a 20 min wait . It seems to me like these people put uber ears delivery orders last . Store is dirty and staff is incompetent, lazy and barely able to speak English. Can't get an order right and when they screw up they say "you never ordered that." Not to mention a lunch order of boneless wings and fried rice comes to $27.00 and they still have the nerve to ask for a tip! Terrible value, terrible staff, terrible experience. read more

got 9 pieces for a 10 piece combo, chicken itself is very dry, not juicy at all, tastes like re-heated several times.

The last two times I've ordered from here they were backed up with frustrated customers sitting and waiting for their orders coming 30 minutes past the stated time for orders to be ready. And the employees are never apologetic. This is simply an extremely poorly run franchise. read more

This is my first visit to Bonchon for lunch. I arrived for a late lunch and the restaurant was empty. It had an airy feel and clean presentation. The menu featured first the fried chicken then some Korean, Japanese and fusion dishes. I opted for the small combo fried chicken with half mild and half spicy saucing. I also got the seasoned fries. The chicken was crispy with a batter-like consistency and they were sauced well. The spicy sauce had a good level of heat without being too much. The fries had a good amount of parmesan cheese and tasted like dashi. Overall the food was a bit salty but was balanced nicely by the sweet pickles. Many items on the menu had a high price point, which is enough for me not to come back again. It's good to try if you haven't had Korean fried chicken. I also noticed many patrons order take out rather than eating in. read more

The taste was absolutely spot on Bonchon. I was disappointed that they didn't have any ice tea (only that available in a bottle) or water (in a bottle) for purchase. My last visits to this chain require more liquid than one refill of a cup to quench the possible Bonchon spicy fire. They actually had drinks and water available (not in a bottle). This isn't a complaint about the food, I just wish this had been available. If I had known that before driving in an area I'm unfamiliar with I may have picked something else.. but none the less they had no problem with we bringing my own drink ( an ice tea) from my own car. The only other thing was one of the employees were eating wings from behind the counter. Perhaps this is ok to do from behind the counter while working.... I dunno. If I had worked at McDonald's and started eating a hamburger from the other side I think other people would think that's a strange place to take a break... I do love my Bonchon!!! Nom nom . read more

Food=4/5 Customer service=1/5 Ordered online last Sunday around 11:45 and was told it would be about 30 mins. Based on other reviews, I gave it an extra 15 mins. Was told it would be "a few minutes" because they had limited staff on Sundays. 20 mins later i got my food. It seems this is a consistent problem based on other reviews. Food was decent, got wings and bibimbap but customer service was a let down. read more

Korean chicken wings are so good. If you haven't tried them yet, go now! I'm a big fan of their soy garlic flavor. Their wings are big, crispy and flavorful. Best fried chicken ever never had Korean fried chicken before and this was everything I've ever even imagined and more. Huge portions in the drumsticks so filling the kimchi coleslaw was phenomenal. I have to say is I would definitely go out again and recommend this place to anybody that loves fried chicken And is into Korean food! read more

5 stars for food, 0 stars for service: There is no such thing as a real time to take out from this restaurant. If you select 7pm pickup, it's entirely possible they won't start MAKING your order until 715 or 730. You could very easily arrive at 7pm and not leave until after 8pm for pickup. It is truly absurd. Because the food is so good, I didn't learn my lesson the first time, or second time this happened. This isn't a rare occurrence: it's every single time, I've waited 45+ minutes past my pickup time. It's now the third time.. I hope I'm smart enough to never come back here. read more

Ordered several times but the last few it hasn't been great. Having said that, ordered again a couple of days ago because my husband wanted boneless wings and got a 24 piece boneless, along with some dumplings and fried pickles. Bit into the first piece of chicken, it was a little chewy which can happen sometimes so I finished it. Bit into another and it was chewy and barely warm. I cut into it and it was straight up RAW in the middle. And not slightly underdone either, completely raw. I'm not one to write bad reviews over petty things, but raw chicken is inexcusable. And my 7 year old had eaten some already as well. Never again. read more

What can I say... Bonchon great job! Fries are fantastic! Soy garlic chicken is the bomb! Spicy chicken is SPICY. Too hot for me to eat again but tastes good nonetheless. Kimchi coleslaw tastes like kimchi and coleslaw so what can I say. Regular coleslaw tastes good too. Overall very good. Increase fry portions and you'd get 5 stars in my book. read more

Mmmmmm delish. I learned to order ahead bc the food is cooked to order and can take time. But is soooo delish.

If I could give less than one stars I would. Every time we've been here the order is never ready on time. Want something for 6pm? Better pick a pickup time for 4pm. I've been here 3 times and never once was the order ready when I selected. Food is delicious don't get me wrong but when I order for a specific time I want it then not 45+ minutes later. read more

The service was great! The employees all seemed so friendly and were pleasant to deal with. You walk in and sit wherever you would like and order at the registers. There are no waiters or waitresses that come to take your order. This is the type of restaurant where you basically do self service. The food was really good. We got the large combo that cam with wings and drumstick, half spicy and half soy. We also got the buldak on the side which was spicy ddeuk(rice cake) with onions, chicken, and rice! This was shared between four people! I would say that this was just enough, but you might want to order one more dish for four people, depending on how much each person eats. Overall I really enjoyed my experience and def. want to go back here! This place has a lot of items that I have not seen at other bonchon places. read more

The chicken wings are so delicious!! We always called to place the order so we didn't have to wait. Delicious! Best sauce.

We stopped here in a whim on our way home from the mall.. my husband is not a person who experiments with food. The place was empty. The lady taking our to go order was not helpful she seemed impatient with my questions.. needless to say I read the menu.. we ordered chicken. Seafood fried rice my husband loved the chicken and Kimchi coleslaw he was not crazy about the fried rice but I thought it was delicious.. my only complaint was the unfriendly hostess..
