Fabulous evening for a birthday celebration . The red snapper was amazing . Large portions and delicious. The waiter and ambience was fabulous . I would highly recommend. read more

Amazing food, the waiter was great with my children. View would have been amazing had we made an earlier reservation. Reservation is a must for early seating. Beautiful atmosphere. read more

Lovely dinner in a lovely location. The wonderful wait staff are graciously attentive and the food is well prepared and seasoned to perfection. The sunset view was outstanding. The pianist was very accommodating and provided a wonderful ambience. I would highly recommend this for your special occasions or just a quiet dinner in lovely Dunedin. read more

Food is fresh.....restaurant is beautiful and very clean. Food is kind of bland. When did chef's stop using seasonings?

We enjoyed a light meal and a cocktail on our visit. We sat at the bar and had really nice views of the water. The bar staff were very attentive and the drinks were excellent. I highly reccomend the key lime margarita! The lobster roll and the seafood app sampler were both delicious. Everything appeared to be made fresh in house and was of excellent quality. The free parking in the lot next door were nice too. We will definitely be back. read more

We went as the sun was setting and were seating inside facing the big windows on the water. Quite the view. My teenager daughters thought though it looked like the views from a cruise ship - especially since they had white table clothes, banquet style chairs and ceiling décor that really could have been on the cruise ship. We were seated by the piano and a large table of women celebrating a birthday or something so it was a bit noisier than we liked. That all said, the food was very good as was the service. We recommend the almond crusted brie appetizer. Our waitress knew the menu well and kept the food paced comfortably. read more

We went for a Sunday Brunch and had Dominic as our Server. He made our experience the best. He recommended two of his favorites which were incredible. We have dined there before, but this experience was the best. Thanks Dominic read more

Took our two grand daughters to celebrate their sixteenth birthday at Sunday brunch. We made reservations and asked for a waterfront table. Of course, the view is terrific. We like to expose our grands to dining experiences other than fast food. Bon Apetit did not disappoint. Our waiter Steuart (sp) rose to the occasion and treated them like two special ladies. I had excellent roasted red pepper soup and lobster roll. The girls enjoyed their brunch and shared eggs Benedict and French toast. It made a special occasion more special. How great is that. Live piano music - WOW. Thanks. We will be back. One happy Grammy & Papa read more

Awesome waterfront restaurant. Outside bar and cafe is a perfect place for a cocktail and finger foods. Great entertainment!!

Bon appetit is a very big favorite of mine. I had dinner there last night and it was superb as usual. What made it so special was the Fantastic music on the piano by. Kathy Roberts she is not only accomplished pianist and what a great hostess. J B Davis read more

Great location. Unhappy with the fact that we could not make a substitution of sweet potato fries for regular fires. The valet parking that circles the outdoor bar produces unpleasant fumes in the bar area. Management needs to reconfigure the traffice. read more

Had our wedding reception dinner there. They were able to accommodate the wedding party 45 minutes early! Food was perfect and the service by Alberto and Jennifer was first class. Have had buffet there before and was also pleased. Great ambiance. read more

Eggs Benedict fair at best. And bloody mary lousy. Will never go back. Too bad because the location is to die for.

great place for lunch, was able to sit outside right on the water, able to watch the dolphins. Wait staff, Eric, very knowledgeable & we took him up on his recommendation of the lobster roll. For $16.00 was well worth the price. Not the least bit skimpy with their portions. Would definitely recommend and will visit again. read more

Average all around. With all the places you can get seafood in the Bay Area, nothing sets this place apart from a chain restaurant with seafood on its menu. While it tastes fine, the prices suggest the flavorful dishes I'm used to having anywhere else (and I'm not wildly adventurous with my cuisine). Judging by the predominantly retiree clientele, maybe the bland palate is what they cater to...? Mediocre service too. Overpriced for average eats. read more

Do not make the drive to Bon Appetite unless you want to be completely hustled on your entree. The service was excellent, although our server mentioned they were unable to raise the blinds because the sun had not set. We were expecting a gorgeous view of the water but were treated with an unappealing view of the blinds. I ordered a grilled grouper sandwich, coined under the category, "award winninong favorites" my palette was anticipating the arrival of an exquisitely crafted divine sandwich that would leave me in a state of complete ecstasy.(which I paid twenty dollars for). My sandwich was strikingly similar to a fish sandwich from long john silvers or McDonald's. (Which I would have definitely preferred!) Bread, a million cucumbers and a lukewarm grouper patty That's it. The fries were done the right way, but my twenty dollar entree was incredibly disappointing. If you are expecting a wonderfully prepared high-end classy seafood dinner, you should turn the other cheek when your in-laws suggest Bon Appetite. Crabby Bill's would definitely be my choice unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars for a nice view. read more

Great dinner, Hollywood Stewart the waiter is brilliant and charming. The meal was great, service great....could not find fault with anything...it was a great dinner..... read more

This restaurant and its staff are truly amazing! I was looking at this place for their wedding venue upstairs. I sent my parents to look at it one day because I had to work. They looked and told me that I should come back. That night, they had dinner and they said it was incredible. A few days later, my mom and I decided to see if we could take a look at the venue. We had no appointment, but Ellen was so wonderful and snuck us up there as they were setting up for an event. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. A few days after that, my fiancé had some time to look at the venue as well, so we went. Again, we had no appointment, but Ellen brought us up again. She was so friendly and helpful, unfortunately it was too small for our wedding. However, we did have dinner there that night. The food was delicious (and consistent according to my parents) and our server Stuart was the type of server that you cannot find anymore. He was kind, funny and always made sure our glasses were full and there was always bread. He always made sure that our food was cooked the way we wanted it and even checked with us to make sure we were enjoying it. When I came to dessert, I could not make up my mind between two of the shot glass desserts, and he had me take both of them! He is absolutely wonderful. You should ask for Stuart because he made my experience here incredible. read more

Cydney was OUTSTANDING!!! She tends to every detail....Our food was very good each morning as we had breakfast included with our stay.

This place is so gorgeous!! The patio feel and view is breathtaking! We absolutely loved the cocktail selection and eclectic food selection. We tried the Poke for an appetizer during brunch and were blown away. All the flavors come together so wonderfully! I had the steak and mushroom hash with the fried eggs (so cool!) and it was fabulous. Great flavors all around. My gf had the grouper blackened and she loved it. Also the kitchen was pretty accommodating with our friend's request for a particular way she wanted her Benedict. Our server Erwin was VERY on top of everything, paid attention to detail as well as extremely attentive. As servers ourselves, this was very appreciated! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we had two joiners towards the end of our meal and were told it was against policy for 5 people to sit at a 4 top...which we do all the time at our restaurant to accommodate our guests. Either way, we had a great experience and will likely be back for that watermelon bruschetta that was only available on the dinner menu! read more

Made reservation a month in advance for a birthday celebration party of 12. I requested that our party have a view of the water, which was then promised. When we were seated our party was separated and I reminded the hostess that we had a reservation and was promised view of the water. With a very snappy attitude the hostess said that they couldn't put the tables together and that the view of the water tables were promised to others with reservations. Mind you those "promised" tables sat empty, and were so when our meal was over. I asked the hostess if they could bring out something for our birthday girl. With another snappy tone I was given this as a reply " we don't give out anything for free for birthdays". I didn't ask for anything free, I asked for a dessert and if the staff sang like other restaurants. Our bill total was over 800.00$. For that amount, one would think that the staff would be polite to the guests. The food was over priced and not worth what we were charged. We will not be back!! There are other restaurants that provide excellent service with staff that are eager to serve. read more

Fantastic place to watch the sunset and get a good meal. The food was pretty good but the view was the best part of the meal. Wait staff was great and prices were good for looking like an upscale restaurant. Definitely eat outside if the weather permits. read more

Very noisy. Could not hear the person beside me. Fish - very dissapointing. I would expect fresh suculant fish in Florida. Both the Grouper and Red Snapper wer about the worst I have had. And, quite expensive for what was offered. I would not go back. read more

We have always found Bon Appetit to be one of our favorite restaurants for the past 8 years. Great food, service, water view and at a reasonable price. We were some what disappointed with our experience a few months ago and contacted the owners about it. They asked us to return and give them another chance. Am I glad we did. The veal chop we had was one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was impeccable as was the rest of the meal and drinks. We will be coming back again with friends. read more

I took my inlaws for a diner as a treat, but that was a big mistake. I was very disappointed. The food was cracker barrel quality but the prices were not!!! Nice location and the service was ok, but they won't see me again. read more

My Birthday lunch 4/21/15, was wonderful. The escargot was plentiful, with garlic sauce. The Lobster roll, was just as I remembered. My friend had the Lobster appetizer which had just as much lobster as the roll. Love the view & the food never disappoints. Service could us some tweaking, to much talking with each other & not enough paying attention to clients. read more

Went to the restaurant yesterday, for a leisurely lunch. My wife ordered a strawberry martini and I had my usual iced tea. We ordered a lump crab meat martini with remoulade and I had the prosciutto and onion marmalade crostini. The crab was phenominal, however the crostini had a giant piece of glass in it, that i almost bit into and swallowed. Unfortunatly for us, we will not be going back to this place for a long time, even though this was one of our favorite spots for a good meal. read more

I would have given this restaurant a much higher rating if it hadn't been for a glaring customer service gaffe. Family members and I stayed at the Best Western Yacht Harbor adjacent to the restaurant. Despite the fact that a major hurricane had just blown through, the marina-side bar and restaurant delivered top tier service on Friday and Saturday nights. However on Sunday night as I approached the bar well before the 9 pm closing time, a bartender shouted to me that they had already declared last call. This was evidently a surprise to the remaining patrons, who protested they had not heard a last call announcement. But the bartender was adamant: the bar would close and no further orders would be taken. So although this restaurant and bar are in a wonderful location, with great food and interesting beer/wine/liquor selections, they rate only a "meh" in my book because customer service is everything, and they clearly are focused on what works best for them, not their clientele. read more

While vacationing around Florida recently, we spent some time in Dunedin and made time to have dinner at this exceptional restaurant. I enjoy fine dining, but rarely motivated enough to write a review. We called for a reservation an hour before arrival and were seated promptly inside this most elegant establishment overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Sher was our waiter for the evening, and he turns dinner into an experience not soon forgotten. For starters, I ordered a margarita on the rocks. He recommended I try his creation of a gold Patron margarita, which he prepared for me and was The Best Ever! I had to have a second one. I enjoy a good shrimp cocktail and oysters on the have shell for an appetizer, so I ordered the Iced Shrimp Platter and a Dozen Oysters to be shared by the table. The shrimp were absolutely superb, and the oysters were the best I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. They were even well liked by a couple in our party who had never experienced oysters on the half shell. Sher helped with recommendations for the rest of our party, and all were quite impressed and pleased with their entrees. My 8oz Grilled Tenderloin arrived cooked to perfection, and just melted in my mouth. A couple of deserts shared by our 4-top were so delicious and enjoyed with ease. And all the while Sher made for such a great dining experience with many recommendations and his culinary excellence. I highly recommend you make time to spend an evening here with family, friends, and business associates for a truly great dining experience, and hope you are as lucky as we were to have it made most exceptional by Sher. Thank you Bon Appetit Restaurant, and a special thanks to Sher! read more

I am from out town visiting family here!! Excellent food and ambience- sat on the patio overlooking the water! But don't ask for service from Csaba. Terrible Terrible Service! We ask for bread because we were waiting for the other party to arrive and he told us we cannot have it after we order. Casaba told us because our party was late, he threaten to move us to a smaller table inside instead of outdoor dining. How rude! He told us management does not allow us to sit that long and wait for the bigger party. So I had to call my sister to hurry up or we will be forced to sit inside instead of outside. I asked for the pasta without no meat not once but twice and brought out the pasta with meat. Ask for our picture to be taken and walked away and later he thank the hostess who took our picture. WE posted a negative review on opentable.com Sunday and now it is Wed evening and still no follow up! Terrible restaurant if you have a negative experience. My family in lives in Palm Harbor won't be coming back soon!! read more

My family and I come here quite frequently for special occasions. Food has always been very good. Despite the insanity of the Boat Parade last night, service was fantastic. Dominic was very efficient and attentive. However, the quality of the entrees did NOT match the prices. I'm pretty sure it was $30 for a plate of cold, barely seared scallops. Both my dad and sister ordered this (we NEVER send food back -- I have been a server and bartender for about 10 years now) and it was inedible until recooked. The manager made sure we were happy once the scallops had been recooked and offered us all free dessert and a free drink for my dad (he's diabetic). My $35 filet was delicious, but not medium rare as requested. Veggies were freezing steak was cold and it was just DOUSED in Bernaise sauce. Happy with the service but $60 for cold scallops and $35 for a cold, poorly cooked steak is not acceptable. May have just been an off night. But as server, I was a little blown away with the lack of quality in a so-called upscale seafood restaurant. read more
