Gal's nite out. We wanted to try this new restaurant. Korean hot pot, BBQ, sushi. What's not to like? Our server was Ferdinand. He was very instrumental and patient for us to learn the process --what to do, how to do it. There is one price for choosing either Korean BBQ or hot pot ($30 something) or add $5 to have both. And sushi is included for both options. For this trip, we opted for the hot pot. We selected our broth of miso, then ordered a veritable plethora of items including rib-eye, shrimp, tofu, noodles, lotus root. We also ordered some sushi including salmon, eel, and a couple rolls. For drinks, we each ordered a martini-- one with apple, one with peach. Of everything we ordered, we both agreed the drinks were the least favorite. We would order something different next time. We truly enjoyed the experience and would recommend this to anyone. We will be back! You use the computerized tablet to order.

Let me start by saying that our server was fantastic, he was great! We came to bombing pot as a big group around 8:30 on a friday and were quickly seated. Bombing pot lets you order on ipads which I appreciate because you don't have to flag a server to get your next order of meat started. The meat was pretty good, I felt like some of the marinades could use some work. The quality of the fish was alright, I don't think I would order sushi here again. I did feel like there were a few cleanliness issues in the restaurant with napkins on the floor or overflowing trash in the bathroom. The sauce bar was also prone to cross contamination with nut products.

I've been waiting for them to open! So excited to have one in a less busy area, convenient parking and close to me. I was not let down at all! Being it is new, there was a wait - QR code to join the waitlist and we sat at the bar for drinks til our table was ready (one hour wait). Very good drink options! For only $33 per person you just can't beat it ($5 more if want both Korean bbq and hotpot which is what we got). I love that they have tom yum soup for the hotpot broth, my fave, so many good options - choose your broth (if you're unfamiliar). There's a buffet style area for getting your own sauces, desserts and a few side items. Important to note - the whole table has to order both or only one (Korean bbq vs hotpot). - anything left uneaten they can charge you $15/lb. - if you're unsure how long to cook items, there's a chart at your table - use ipad to order your ingredients and they come out shortly after - I'd encourage to not over order as soon as you get to the table I had the most lovely interactions with staff who were so friendly and helpful - definitely made the experience even better. DJ was our waiter and he was AMAZING. I may be back next week, I already miss it. Go hungry!! Next time I'd just choose either bbq or hotpot - both at once can be a lot - I was just eager to try theirs.

After seeing how icky the bathroom was, I was nervous to eat there & only decided to stay for a meal because my friend really wanted me to try their food. Honestly, I am SO glad I stayed and I really can't wait to go back again! The restaurant itself is super cute and has a beautiful mural outside of the building, which I snapped a pic of. I loved the tables inside and the wallpaper. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and ate it so quickly that I didn't even get a photo, hahaha! It was sooo delicious! That was definitely a comfort food choice, since I was trying lamb for the first time. And how was the lamb you might ask? Absolutely insane. Steak has been my favorite food for a long time, but I'm pretty positive that lamb has taken its place! Gosh it was delicious and they seasoned it SO wonderfully! It melted in my mouth and was so naturally buttery from the fat. It's certainly a new guilty pleasure of mine. I also tried the Sichuan chicken, which was pretty dang good! I really enjoyed the spice level and the taste of the dish! I was totally caught off guard by it being served cold (intentionally), yet I really liked it! Water and cups were given to us upon seating, and we ordered digitally via a QR code. The food came out probably 15 minutes after that, which was awesome! The girl who brought us the food seemed pretty sweet too. Dining here was more than just getting food. It was a whole different kind of experience for me, and it felt as if I was able to experience a few authentic cultural things, which I am very grateful for! I will definitely be back again and with friends! Although my first impression wasn't the best, I can acknowledge one thing clearly--dirty bathroom but AMAZING food!

In the past year, I have eaten one lunch and one dinner here. For both visits, the exterior of the restaurant needed to be updated, but the interior looked stylish and clean. An employee promptly greeted me, seated me at a table, and took my order, although she did not speak much English. Across my two visits, here are the foods that I purchased: Classic Spicy Grilled Fish - 4.5 stars - I am not sure of the type of fish, but it and its accompanying vegetables came in a large, impressive tray and tasted spicy and delicious. White rice was on the side. Fried Sticky Rice Cake - 4.5 stars - This dessert reminded me of donuts with a chewy inside, and I liked them very much. Beef Skewers and Chicken Skewers - 4.5 stars - The meats were juicy and highly seasoned. PF BBQ House is open for lunch and dinner for dining in, takeout, and delivery. You may order food in person or through apps such as Fantuan. I encourage more people to eat here.

From the moment I looked at the menu, my instincts told me this place would outshine many of the nearby Korean restaurants and I was right! The first bite of the fresh and flavorful banchan (side dishes) immediately proved it. This small family-owned restaurant delivers genuine hospitality and warm service, if not efficient. We tried the seafood pancake, marinated kalbi(beef), tofu/seafood spicy stew, dolsot bibimbap w/chicken(mixed rice with vegetables in a clay pot), grilled mackerel, and pork bossam( lettuce wrap with braised pig's feet). Everything was absolutely delicious except for the bossam, which was a bit too fatty for our taste. Still, my family of five thoroughly enjoyed the experience of dining at this authentic Korean spot. It's a wonderful place for family gatherings, dinner with friends, or even dining solo. They do not have a liquor license, and while walk-ins are welcome, reservations are recommended for larger parties. Definitely worth a visit!

The table was big, but there wasn't a Lazy Susan to spin things around, so I was only to eat predominantly from the dishes closest to me. P12 DUCK YOLK PORK RIBS - 17.95 This was my favorite dish of the night that I kept reaching for. The duck yolk crusted exterior provided a salty, eggy flavor that enhanced the juicy pork underneath. I'd come back and order a platter of these for myself. B12 STRING BEAN W. BEEF - 19.95 A classic string bean dish but with shreds of beef! This is a common staple, but one I continued to reach back for since the green beans were pretty crunchy and crispy, and the beef was pretty tender. V07 EGGPLANT W. GARLIC - 15 Pretty saucy eggplant that was fresh with the perfect custard-like flavor. It's a simple dish, but the stir-fried eggplant and the marinade went well with the minced garlic. We also got the (E12) Garlic Fish Filet, (C1) Chicken w. Basil & Garlic, and (B5) Beef & Watercress in Black Pepper Sc. I only had maybe a couple bites of those and can't comment too much since it's been almost two weeks. These dishes are a fan favorite among my CMU alumni friends. The food was good and legit with most dishes priced under $20. Definitely check it out if you're in the area craving Taiwanese food -- one of the best meals I had in Pittsburgh!
