We absolutely loved this restaurant! After living in South Florida for a while, I had honestly just about given up trying to find truly great Indian food. So many places in the area are mediocre at best, which made finding this gem such a pleasant surprise. We started with the samosas and the chili chicken appetizer (which my husband and I shared), and both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with garlic naan, and my husband ordered the Chicken Korma. Every single dish was packed with flavor, perfectly prepared, and some of the best Indian food we've had anywhere--not just in South Florida. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated, creating a wonderful atmosphere that elevates the entire dining experience. This place deserves all the recognition it can get. Honestly, if Michelin stars were awarded based solely on flavor, hospitality, and consistency, they'd be in the conversation. I'm always on the hunt for a good Indian buffet and very happy to find Bombay Grove, under new management, is doing very well. There was lentil soup, two trays of freshly fried appetizers, white and seasoned rice options, , a lot of different creamy curry and tomato-based sauces with meat and vegetarian only options. The server brings hot toasted Naan. There's also ice cream and kheer for dessert. My favorite items were the vegetable pakora, lightly battered and seasoned, the potato saag was unique, the paneer was in a coconut milk cream curry sauce and amazing. The fish curry was in a similar sauce and the filets were very tender. The goat curry was also unique but a little gamey. My husband really ally enjoyed the cauliflower. After I picked up my son from school, we had the lunch buffet at Bombay Grove. The buffet was limited with the basics like chicken vindaloo, chicken masala, Chana masala, basmati and vegetable fried rice, tandoori chicken and samosas for appetizers, etc. The lentil soup was very good and a basket of fresh out of the oven naan was brought to us not too long after we sat back at our table. For dessert, they had vanilla and chocolate ice cream and gulab jamun. Overall since it was our first time eating there, it was a good experience and we'll probably be back. I love love the food here! I tried this place for the first time and found everything I ate delicious. The vegetable samosas are addicting. They give you 3, and if there were more, I would eat them all. I also ordered the Vegetable Korma, which comes with rice (and I ordered naan bread too), and will definitely be ordering it again. Bombay Grove was all about the average and it was consistent across the board with average service, average food, average looking dining room and average prices and there was no deviation from the mediocrity. The menu is limited and we stayed mainly with the basics and all items were okay and in the forgettable category. A chicken dish didn't have much flavor and a rice dish looked good but disappointed. My answer to any Indian food cravings is usually Bombay Cafe. I love the location, easy parking, great service and I don't usually need a reservation since the place has plenty of seating. Hence why it's so great that I can just come here if I'm craving Indian food without the worry of making a reservation. The food is amazing! Last time I was here for lunch and loved their buffet option (amazingly priced too btw). This time I came here for dinner, and I ordered just a bit more than I could eat so I could take some home for the weekend lol that's how much I enjoy it! Their chicken tikka masala is phenomenal! Great texture, the sauce is nicely thick and not overwhelmingly spicy. I also ordered their lamb biryani, and a ton of garlic naan and raita, all super delicious and well flavored without killing me with the spice level. I'm spoiled. I live close to Edison, NJ where there are lots of very good to outstanding Indian restaurants. Bombay Cove (new name is Bombay Grove) is as good as the best in Edison at least based on our meal and conversation with other customers. Service was friendly and efficient, prices were reasonable, portion size was good and parking was easy. The dishes at our table were tandoori salmon and tandoori shrimp, and chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken (makhini). In a word, delicious. I was invited to fine with friends at Bombay Cafe last night. Since I love Indian food, and had never even heard of this restaurant that's so close to me, and wanted to enjoy a new experience with new friends, I went out of my way to ensure I'd be back in town in time to join the group. There were eight of us. One of the group was a regular, so he ordered for the table. From beginning to end, the meal was exceptional. The kabobs were perfectly seasoned, the lamb chops, which I normally don't eat, were so good that I might order them myself next time! The heat level was only medium for the table. I would prefer something higher than a 3, maybe a 4 or 5. But the flavor was just delightful, each dish as good or better than the one before. I can't wait to return. Bombay cafe is near my job and we went to the lunch buffet on a Friday around 12:30. Soon after we arrived it got packed. Parking was harder than usual but it's because there are too many restaurants in the same plaza and it is near to many companies. Food wise, I really enjoy Indian food in general and i know what good indian dishes tastes like. Unfortunately the buffet food wasn't as good as I expected. The tandoori chicken was dry, curries tasted bland, tikka masala was okay. Naan was fresh and brought to each table as part of the buffet. Gulab jamun was the best part of the lunch. I also got masala and it was very watery and the balance of the spices were off. I took a sip and didn't drink the rest. Overall it is actually WORTH for the price because you can eat as much you want and it is not bad food( we paid 33$ for 2 people and extra chai) but if you want real authentic indian I would not choose this place for that. When it comes to my reviews, first impressions mean everything. This establishment impressed me from the moment we walked through the door. The dining area was clean, the place settings were neatly organized and the glassware was spotless. The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was good, and the service was excellent. We wanted to try another Indian restaurant so we came here. At first, it was empty except for another couple in a booth. I was ready to book it because a not-so-busy place on Saturday is strange. We stayed and sat down where ever we wanted. The waitress was prompt to bring menus and water. I ordered the dal soup and also the mushroom, pea dish, medium-hot but was not hot at all. My friend ordered the eggplant dish and said it was a bit oily . Portions were big and the jasmine rice was plentiful. The menu was extensive and you could even order some Chinese food as well. I liked my meal but the spicy flavor I wanted was not enough. Bombay cafe did get some more customers and a few take out. Will I be back, probably not unless I'm in the area? High prices. I can get the same meal in the frozen food section of Publix for 1/3 the price. Plus, the servers expect a tip.

We came for the buffet lunch which they don't have anymore -- based on a fairly recent 5 star review. We decided to stay anyway. First a mention that there was only one guy waiting on everyone, taking care of food pickups, and also handling payments. He really had it together -- a system of giving out menus, then water, then taking orders, then giving you plates and silverware, serving your food, clearing, presenting checks, and taking payment. Whew. And he did it perfectly -- serving everyone in the order that they entered the restaurant. And every booth was full plus a couple more of the tables -- one with a large group. Kudos. We ordered two dishes to share plus an order of plain naan bread. The naan was okay -- we've had better -- but the two dishes were quite good. We'd ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb madras. We ordered them both medium spicy. The spice level was just the right amount for us -- enough to give it some oomph without making me cry. It's American medium -- not killer. Both dishes had a lot of meat in it. There were chunks of all white meat chicken in one and tender lamb pieces in the other. Our favorite of the two was the tikka masala. Along with them came white rice. It was a bit more expensive for lunch than expected as it is one menu -- not a special lunch menu. Even without the buffet, it really would be nicer to have a slightly smaller portion perhaps with a lower than dinner price. Other than that, we were happy with our meal. read more

Food was good. Slow service. We were the only table there. Had two walk in orders. But we felt like he was in a rush the entire time. We Order the bhindi masala, aloo naan, chicken korma, and tea. Lunch was a bit pricey! All the prices were dinner prices. $17 for chicken. The Bhindi Masala was great. I love the okra. There was a crisp to it. The tomato was the best part! NOTE: The yellow strips on top is ginger. I wasn't prepared for it but it was refreshing. Love that it wasn't soaked in oil. OMG!! OMG the CHICKEN KORMA sauce delicious!! Best part was taking the Aloo(Potato) Naan(Bread) and dipping it into the curry. Chicken pieces were cut in weird chunks but the sauce made up for it. Rice was a bit dry. Good with the chicken korma or any curry dish but with the Bhindi Masala, it was dry. The tea was disappointing. My colleague didn't even touch it. There was a thick film on top which deterred her from drinking it. Our server didn't care to ask how our food was. He did refill my water!! That's a plus! Overall- I would only order the aloo naan again as take out! I remember pre-COVID their buffet was amazing. Great variety and price. I'm hoping they'll bring it back once everything is normalized.
