The place doesn't look like much on the outside but is actually quite nice, large and clean on the inside, as well as nicely decorated to suit the Indian theme. Prices are moderate and they have a lunch combo for $10.95 pp and you get more than you can eat. Now for why I gave them 3 s: - The waiter didn't even say hello- handed us the limited lunch menus and left - Gave us water and never asked us if we would like anything else, had to specifically request a drinks menu and had to flag him down to place drinks orders. - The waiter wore a long sleeve shirt with the wrist parts turned up and flared out. It dragged into my cup and when I asked for a new glass of water cause his sleeve went in it- well you'd swear I cursed at him On top of all that- the food was bland

I have been eating at Punjab for 20 years and have never been disappointed. Don't let the motel next door fool you, Punjab makes excellent food. My go tos are their vegetable curry and chicken tikka masala. Best in Boca.

Went with a very large party and they were very accommodating! Service was attentive and fast! I do feel like the tandoori chicken and shrimp were a bit over cooked , as was the bottom of the naan. They do have a full bar which is a plus.

Delicious flavorful food ! Fresh too ! Friendly welcoming service with parking on the side of the restaurant. Looking forward to going back to try more food.

I haven't been to Punjab restaurant in a few years and I had fond memories of my experiences there. That's changed, a lot. This restaurant is a shadow of itself. The waiter brings a small bowl of Chinese noodles and tamarind sauce, the shocked look on my face. What happened to the papadam ? Now they charge for papadam and think that Chinese noodles is an adequate replacement ? The veg somosa was good. Crunchy shell stuffed with well mashed tators and peas. I ordered the papadam and it was ok. Very lightly cooked, but still tasty. The entrees were hideous. Shrimp masala and butter chicken. The chicken was dry like shoe leather and the shrimp were so over cooked and rubbery my mom couldn't even chew them. The garlic naan was good and the sauces were also good. The rice, was a soggy, flavorless pile of yuck. Long gone is the saffron flavor or coloring. All in all the experience was pretty bad and I most certainly won't be back. Good luck if you try Punjab restaurant.

Lunch Special Review. Food was good, it was like a chicken masala. Good and spicy! Great Naan, and rice. Shame about the country club musty smell in the restaurant. A great price at $8.95! Love this place, but not a 5*.

Some of the bins were empty but with the 2 other tables dining in when we were there, they tried to refill as often as the kitchen prepared. The chana masala and the saag potatoes were amazing. Rich flavors with dense thick sauces which is great cause my husband and I have gone to a lot of places where dishes were watery and had no ingredients. There was only bryani seasoned rice, no white rice option. The buttered Naan and fried dough puff were brought out fresh from the kitchen and delicious. The spicy curry chicken was fantastic. The halwa dessert was delightful along with the Chai tea and gulab jamun. Service was efficient, did what they were supposed to as far as cleaning and serving, no speaking.

Since Maharaja seemed to be the only Indian place nearby, we figured they got their snacks there. The eatery offers indoor and outdoor dining. And the decor is eclectic and cool. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a while on a Sunday at lunchtime, but soon we were joined by other diners. And like the passengers in the car, they, too, were South Asian. To me, this was a great sign. Our server was extremely polite. And she asked several times if the food was good and if we needed anything. We also got complimentary Indian crackers before our meals. And were given free warm cheese balls for dessert. We ordered the goat korma and the lamb maharaja, both medium spicy, for our meals. The goat was tender but the korma sauce was creamier than expected and a bit sweet with actual bits of raisins. The lamb maharaja was spicier than a medium level. But oh so good with a great tomato sauce that offered a scintillating tingle to our tongues. It was definitely the standout entree. And everything came to the table piping hot, including the dessert cheese ball. We were disappointed with our order of naan. It was flat and tasteless. We've had better naan from a grocery store package. While the food definitely was very good, we thought the prices were a bit high. Our entrees were close to $30 each. And the portions were decent but not ample. Lunch for 2 with 2 entrees, an order of naan, tax, and tip, was $80.

We ordered the veggie samosas, chicken tikka fries, paneer tacos, a side of fries and mango lassi. The mango lassi was flavorful and refreshing. The side of fries were crispy and for $6, you get a ton! The veggie samosas were incredible. Crispy on the outside, delicious flavor on the inside. I could've just had two orders of those and been happy. The chicken tikka fries were such an insane portion, definitely enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and fresh. The tikka was pretty spicy, but not spicy enough to ruin the meal. Just spicy enough maybe to make the nose run a little, but leave you wanting more. The paneer tacos were super unique. Ive never seen anything like it. They weren't skimpy on the paneer either, would absolutely order these again! Overall with everything we ordered, and a soda, the total came to $53.40. Considering we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day, and two of the items we got were unique, I'd say it was worth the money and I would for sure be back to try other things.
