I've ordered from here several times. The food is always delicious. But, tonight was a stand out night. I placed an UberEats order. Due to poor customer service and follow through on Uber's part, the order was never retrieved from the restaurant. The restaurant was kind enough to let me know uber was not responding. After uber cancelling the order, I contacted the restaurant who invited me to come pick up the order. I advised that I wouldn't make it in time before they closed. The woman on the phone (regretfully, I didn't get her name) offered to stay late until I got there. Everyone at the restaurant was beyond apologetic for an error that wasn't theirs. Braved out the flash flood warnings in Chicago to come here and totally worth it! They had 25% during "happy hour" on their sandwich rolls and sides. My personal favorite is the cheese paneer on the roll--it's almost like a cultured grilled cheese. You surprised me Bombay Wraps!! With 30mins left before you closed for the night, I was tired and in the mood for something quick and spicy. I had already accepted that eating fast food close to closing time meant I'd be eating something that had been left over from the lunch rush and would be dry and flavorless.... Ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap, Samosas and Lamb Curry Wrap. First off they got the order wrong and gave us soup instead of a wrap. Then the soup we had was literally just water and celery. Today I ordered the "make-me-whatever-you-desire" off of GrubHub for takeout. Pick up was quick and easy, the staff was friendly. I took a moment to take a look at the aesthetics of the place. It's a pretty typical fast-casual venue: simple, clean, crisp and modern. My meal, which I, again, ate on my living room couch, was more elaborate than the first, and just as delicious. This place is near my apartment so decided to go here for dinner one day when we were too lazy to cook. It's simple, fast, and causal, yet clean. I got the beef kabob wrap with lentil soup. My husband got the chicken tikka wrap with sweet potato fries. The flavors in the wraps were good, however they weren't tightly wrapped and kind of fall apart on you while you're eating. That's not a huge issue for me though. We asked for spicy and the wraps were definitely not spicy. The lentil soup was ok. It needed more salt and was kind of bland. The sweet potato fries were a standout and really delicious with some spices on them. Service was fine, not overly friendly but not rude. Overall, a good place to grab a fast lunch or dinner when you're feeling lazy and are in the area. It's also pretty cheap which is a huge plus. Not somewhere you have to try though. Cool take on Indian street fast food, but a little greasy and messy. I love Indian street food and I love it even more when people think of new ways to make Indian food a "grab'n'go" style of food. This was my first time visiting Bombay Wraps and overall I was pretty satisfied. My sister and I a samosa wrap and the channa wrap and then we split them. Overall, the food wasn't bad. We ordered the wraps "spicy" but i wish they were a little more spicy. The wraps were also pretty messy so it was kind of hard to eat and easier to eat with knife and fork. But, the lady preparing our food did warn us of that. I liked that the wraps were made of paratha, which was a nice nostalgic thing for me from my childhood. We also ordered the sweet potato masala fries which were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, slightly soft inside and incredibly seasoned. I would recommend this place to someone who wanted something on the go and were downtown. Not sure if there are comparable places (I'm sure there are), but overall, I was pretty satisfied with my first visit there! read more

It was flaky and the chicken was cooked just right and went well with the sauces. I don't recommend ordering the sides. The samosas were very small but generously stuffed. They were overcooked and pretty hard. The fries were near burnt. Don't get me wrong, the fries were good but they just had a burnt taste to them. They offered me a cup for water without me asking and threw away my trash once I was done. It's a fast food place, something I don't expect the workers to do. Oooh Indian Chipotle is a thing now too? That's cool. 3.5 stars The wraps are ~$3, which seem like a good price except that the pictures make them look like they'd be quite a bit bigger... But the combos are a good deal esp since you'll definitely need 2 or 1+ a side to be full. The snack size allows for more variety and flexibility - like what if you did just want a snack? Taste wise, I thought the paratha could've been fluffier, the filling was decent but not amazing, and overall just alright. Compared to chipotle/naf naf where every bite is so flavorful... this isn't quite that. I think this location is new, so everything is super clean and bright and the ambiance is great for a quick bite. We picked it because it wasn't crowded and the owners were gracious enough to let us bring our bikes in to keep inside against the wall, and I'll definitely be keeping this in mind for future rides along lakeshore drive. Exit path just north of Navy Pier at Ohio Street and it's like 3 blocks away! read more

This place is pretty close to my work so I thought I would try it out and I'm glad I did. I've always heard good things about this place from co-workers and they had recommended that I try the fries and the sweet potato fries and the Beef Kabob rice bowl. For the price you pay the portion sizes are decent and the food does fill you up. I wasn't a big fan of the sweet/spicy sauce that gave with the fries but I'm sure you can request for another sauce or even Ketchup. You can dine in the restaurant as well (decent amount of seating). It's basically like an Indian chipotle in my opition. If you are around the area and looking for a quick lunch spot this is a good place to consider. Been here a few more times and the food is growing on me. My usual is the Chickpea Chana unwrapped on a salad, vegetarian and healthy, while also tasting really good. It's not quite enough all on its own to fill me up, but nothing some sweet potato fries can't fix. Those are good, and well seasoned so they don't even need the spicy ketchup sauce they come with. The Chicken Tikka wrap is also very tasty, the chicken still moist and the sauce just delicious. The menu now includes some breakfast items, various wraps involving eggs, so we tried one of them. Can't remember the name (and their website doesn't have them up yet), but it was eggs, peppers, and tomatoes cooked with Indian seasoning. Substantial size for a cheaper wrap, but it was a bit oily (see pic). Enjoyed the flavor, but the amount of oil was a bit of a turn off (nothing that can't be corrected though). read more
