I see Dr. BOLIVAR in his Parker, Az office. I always feel he listens to all my concerns and questions. I am a very complex, complicated, individual medically speaking with several major issues. I have been turned away from other doctors because they don't have time to deal with me. Dr. BOLIVAR took me as a patient, and has given me great medical care. Yes, sometimes he is running behind time wise, because of patients like me he is dealing with but when it's your turn, you will get the same care and time to address your needs. The worst customer service. Numerous times go in with appointment and have to wait an hour. We have left because not being seen and were called demanding that can't happen or won't be seen anymore. When I asked what can be done about not having to wait for an hour to be seen was just told they will make a note. I asked again but what can be done about that, they said thank you and hung up. Also, been going there for about 10 years and the dr is never in office, it's always the PA. read more

Dr. Bolivar rushes you terribly so that you are in a state of confusion and "what just happened" when you leave. He is always at least an hour late. Very belittling and always has a "smirk" on his face. Makes you feel like you're stupid for even feeling a need to be seen. Not interested in knowing you as a person/patient, just show up for his payment and off you go. He fails to write complete notes and forgets about referrals and then his office staff calls other doctors liars when they say they haven't received returned auths. because he says he never referred in the first place; even though I have each and every signed one as proof. He was a nightmare and caused me severe mental distress. He starts of nice, but then you realize he is too busy to actually care for you. Has no idea who you are when you come back. He asks ME what my lab and xray results are! He should know that and be telling me! Horrible!!!!! My mom has been going to Dr. Bolívar for over 31yrs. And today she received the worst treatment ever from one of the receptionist or nurses whatever she is her name is Lupe I have yet to find her last name but I will cause I will be reporting her to the BBB. My mother took my step dad in for his appt. Note my step father has suffered 2 strokes his speech isn't the best he walks with a cane and depends on my mom for just about everything. When his name was called this rude lady refused to let my mom in the back with him. She raised her voice and was a complete you know what. Out of the respect for her doctor she didn't raise hell but, me as her son and seeing how upset my mom left from this visit and this experience, has led me to leave this comment as well as proceed with reporting her to the BBB. I hope they get rid of her asap so she doesn't tarnish the doctors reputation. Then she wants to laugh when my mom was on her way out, real professional. I am one of his new patients in Parker Arizona Yes he has another office as far as I know they are only opened on Fridays I'm confused by both him and his wife I was very sick on the 13th of November called to see if they were in town I was not able to speak to them because nobody was in the office so I text his wife as I was told to and no response. A few hours later I called the Parker Arizona number again somebody picked up and I asked if they were in town I was informed that they would be calling me back to do a telemed 4 hours later still no call so I text again asking should I just go to the emergency clinic they did respond and she told me he would be calling me very soon that never happened. So I did go to my scheduled appointment on the 17th of November basically only to get the results from the lab work that he had requested. I spoke with him for a few minutes I don't even think he remembered who I was and what I had originally came to him for I told him while I have to go I have another appointment he then said well you're urinalysis came back it's okay I then asked him well what about the lab work the blood and he asked me if I did it and when I did it I told him it's the blood work that you requested and it was done the exact same day and time as your analysis he claimed it he did not have it so he asked his wife to contact the lab to get it I left she told me she would call me with the results Monday I messaged and asked if she had it and what the results were she informed me that she had called the lab and it was not ready. I turned around and called the hospital lab where I had had the lab work done because I've had so many lab works done at the same hospital and the results are always sent to the position by the end of the day. So when I spoke to the lab technician she told me the results were in on the 13th of November and sent straight over to the doctor so I really don't know what is all going on and why it is so impossible maybe it's the fact that they're only in the town I live in one day a week as far as I know because he has no hours posted or anything but needless to say I still do not have the results because I text her this morning and she has to find them and have the doctor review them and then they will call me this is just it's too much they're both very nice but as I stated I feel they don't know who any of us are and what we are being treated by them for. read more

Dr. Samuel Bolivar was elected as our PCP on our Insurance for 2 reasons He spoke Spanish He was in the same group as the specialists that I wanted to see for my Thyroid problems I had a procedure done last year to radiate my thyroid for hyperthyroidism, afterwards I was informed that the procedure did not work and that I would have to have the procedure done all over again (which was significantly difficult for myself and my family), until I redid the procedure I was started on medication to decrease my thyroid function.  After weeks on the medication,  I  began to feel very sick, not sleeping, emotional, extremely exhausted, lethargic after over 10 days of feeling like this I called the Doctor, numerous times, my calls went unanswered,  the Doctor was out, no one apparently covering for him, and I was referred a couple of times to the nearest ER, which I did go to.  I was told to call my Dr. in the morning, which I did, I finally got an appointment for several days later, with my Dr. , during this time, I went back to the ER, called the Dr again and was at my wits end of not feeling well, not sleeping, not being able to function.  My Sister flew in to help at home and accompany me to the Dr since I didn't feel I was in the right state of mind, my wife was unable to accompany me because we have 3 small children at home.  The morning of my appointment I was called and notified that the procedure apparently had worked after all and that he had my lab work from a couple of weeks ago and that I no longer had any thyroid function and I needed to begin a thyroid replacement medication.   My sister drove me to my appointment and I asked her to accompany me in the exam room.  When my sister started asking questions, Dr. Bolivar became upset and he and his staff were quiet rude to both myself and my family member, it was embarrassing as the patient that he acted this way.  Apparently Dr. Bolivar became upset because my sister asked to see copies of my lab tests.  He thought she was questioning him but in reality she was just concerned and told him she had never seen me like this before, to which DR. Bolivar answered, "he has a lot of problems at home, are you aware of all his problems with his wife?"  My sister explained she had known me all her life and when she hears and sees me like this it is beyond having problems at home and that there are physical problems.  I thought that was completely unprofessional but I was in no condition to bring anything like that up at that time. Months have gone by, there has been little improvement in my condition, I have requested several times to see a Thyroid specialist, to which he responds I am managing this just fine, which is not fine, as the patient I should be able to see a specialist and get a second opinion, I am the one who does not feel well, I am the one who is affected by this.  Dr. Bolivar is unprofessional, not caring, his bedside manner is lacking, he keeps patients waiting for HOURS just to be seen for a few minutes, leave us with unanswered questions, become upset if we ask a question, he is sarcastic, most of his staff is nice, however something has to be done about the way he treats patients.  After waiting months to see him again (few visits since my problem began) I just went to have bloodwork and in the middle of treatment I get a letter stating that he is dismissing me as a patient.   I do feel I am better off seeing another provider, truth be told, I was going to switch Providers just as soon as I could get my medical problem under control, seems that with this Doctor, that may never had happened, he is rarely in the office, if there is an emergency we are referred to the nearest Er as he does not have someone cover for him, I was informed several times.    I have a tentative appointment scheduled with a new Physician, hopefully things will improve and the new physician will not become angry if we have a question. read more

This is the worst doctors office I've ever experience. Bolivar never takes me seriously when I have serious issues. His office is always fully scheduled months in advance. They called me an hour before my appointment to tell me i needed blood work done before I come in, but that it would take a week to get them in so we'd have to cancel on a visit I've been waiting for for two months. Like get it together dude. People have schedules people have health issues, this office is really inconsiderate and impersonal. I'm switching doctors as soon as I can. read more

I have an appointment on August 13th, the person I spoke with told me to come to LabCorp two weeks prior to get my blood work done. They said my order would be in their system. I took the time off from work to get my blood work done. Guess what I'm at LabCorp and they don't have an order in the system. I've been here since 8:15am. According to their hours, Dr. Bolivar's Office is suppose to open at 8:30am!! I've been calling and I've gotten nothing but the answering service!! It's 9am now! Still no answer!! This is such a waste of my time because someone dropped the ball!!! read more

This Dr and his staff are a joke. Every one of the ladies in the office are completely rude and should not be working front office with attitudes they have. The Dr doesn't give you answers or help, he doesn't like being asked questions and the wait....it's pathetic. Plan on spending half of your day in his office because you won't be getting seen for about 2 hours after your arrival/appointment time. I changed my pcp to him big mistake . I called to make appointment for a follow up on shingles case confirmed by hospital er visit . I was having hearing lost and facial weakness . I called and I was asked the medications I was prescribed during this shingles recovery . Stated the Doc can't see me ever because I was prescribed a pain medication during my recovery of shingles . This is by far the most unprofessional Doctors office I have ever encountered. Their lack of response and followup is ridiculous. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a referral and am still at square one. The doctor is constantly out of the office and office staff offered little to no help. 6 weeks ago, I scheduled an appointment and was set up to go the lab before my appointment date. When I arrived at the lab, they could not find an order for me in the system and I was turned away. I call Dr. Bolivar's office and the person on the phone chuckled and said they entered my name incorrectly. I go back to the lab and have blood drawn as I now see the doctor in a week. At my appointment I find out Dr. Bolivar's office did not enter the correct order or run the correct tests so I have to go back to the lab and get more blood drawn (3rd trip to the lab). I have now been waiting for a referral for almost 3 weeks. If you value your health and well being run away from this office. They have a complete disregard for patient care and I will be changing doctors as they were the worst choice I have ever made regarding my health. STAY AWAY! read more

A very arrogant man. Don't have an opinion on your own health if you speak to him. He told me this that weren't true about medications, just to oppose what I had suggested. My blood pressure was high every visit with no discussion of it. When my husband was injured and died I asked for some medication for sleep issues. He acted like I was trying to find drugs to get high. He had no interest in my health since day one. I put up with it, giving him a chance. I am now so discouraged by doctors. He was the last. I can't walk most days now. I don't take my BP. If have a migraine i go to the er. I haven't been able to bring myself into another doctors office for a whole hear now. I'd rather suffer than feel like I did when I went there. It makes me sick he was paid for the visits. read more
