This is a donuts store inside L'iila shopping mall at the basement level near all the food place. The major selling point about this place is definitely the cute donut, you can already feel the sweetness by just looking at it. Other than the look, the taste is good as well. Had to stop here for breakfast after passing by and seeing the most adorable gingerbread men shaped donuts in the display case next to the window. I got the original flavor with nothing inside but the head was dipped in white chocolate and the feet were dipped in dark chocolate. There were other options with strawberry or milk/dark/white chocolate coating/filling but I thought that might be too sweet. The dough is soft with the perfect amount of chewiness to sink your teeth into. Coffee is great and is served in to go cups. Donut is placed in a bag. Most people got stuff to go, actually. Place is small, only two tables. They also offer fresh baked breads that you can watch them bake through a glass window and sandwiches and wraps as well. I was really hungry on a weekday late afternoon, and I didn't want any more patatas bravas or tapas. I chanced upon this adorable bakery, thanks to walking around with Yelp's map and tips. Little gingermen greeted me at the door on this cold hungry rainy day. A wide selection of pastries, from sweet cookies, cupcakes, to savory bagels, sandwiches, was delightfully arranged around the counter. I settled for the smoked salmon bagel, and it was delicious! I loved how the bagel was not too dense, it was nice and chewy. The smoked salmon was chilled, very delicious; salad was just right. Definitely a surprise because I didn't see much smoked salmon products around Barcelona. The tables are small, and there are some booths. It could get cosy when the place is crowded. Luckily, it was a decent group of customers enjoying their afternoon when I visited. I'll definitely come by for some snack or pastries when I pass by Diagonal and Passieg Gracia next time! read more

The cakes and sandwiches at this place are really good. Especially the cakes, they are very sweet, colourful, full of sugar and exactly the kind of thing I like! I usually just get takeaway at a different branch but this morning I had breakfast. I had a toasted croissant with ham and cheese and a café con leche. Unfortunately the coffee was too strong for me and I couldn't finish it. I sat outside and the seats and tables were clean but really uncomfortable. They were made out of metal and the seats had no cushioning. It wasn't the kind of furniture you could relax on! Also the woman at the counter was a bit abrupt with me when I couldn't understand something she said. She was very friendly later on though so maybe it was just a bad moment? But between that, the coffee that I couldn't finish and the really uncomfortable outside seating it loses two stars. read more
