A friend of mine from the southeast US has told me for years that this is the best chicken in the country, so I was excited to try it. That first try, right after they opened, was very good. Best? Not to me. Since that initial try, I have eaten here a handful of times. Where you can get all kinds of chicken at the restaurant in Florida/Georgia, here you are limited. They serve strips or sandwiches. I have had both, and both are good. The lines have gotten much shorter since the grand opening, and it appears that the newness has worn off. However, the help is still really good about taking your orders, cooking it, and getting it to you. I wish they did that good on keeping the seating area clean. Will I return? Probably not as my daughter is moving to North Texas, and there will not be another reason for me to be in that part of town.

Being from the Southeast, I've been eating Bojangles my whole life. Naturally, I was very excited about one opening in San Antonio. The staff are always very pleasant and friendly. It's always clean and orderly. The food is obviously exceptional. My only concern is that the menu is limited and not a full Bojangles Menu. At this location, they serve breakfast items and combos, chicken tender combos and chicken sandwich combos. They don't serve full chicken piece meals or spicy chicken piece meals. Nevertheless, I would still recommend a visit here. My favorite is the breakfast chicken biscuit meal with Bo'rounds, add egg and cheese for a delicious twist! You also have to try the Bo'Berry Biscuits.

Excellent biscuits and gravy.

TLDR: A pleasant surprise; if you're into Southern biscuits, you need to stop in and try this place. For a chain, Bojangles really knows how to serve fresh food. Got their biscuits and gravy, as well as fried chicken on a biscuit along with potato rounds and dirty rice. First off, the star of the show are the biscuits, which are a classic 'baking powder' round with a nice buttery taste. The gravy needs a dose of black pepper but it otherwise excellent. The potato rounds are superb, with a bit of onion in it like a latke. And the fried chicken has a spicy coating which gives it a bit of oomph, though if you're from someplace other than the upper Midwest you'll just barely notice it. And the dirty rice is surprisingly good, with a salt and spice kick that's nice to wash down with some tea. Definitely worth a visit - it's basic fast food ambiance but the service is fast and the food's very good. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

We saw that they were opening a BoJangles in south Texas so we decided to make the drive and see what the hype was about. Once we arrived of course there was a huge line since the business just opened. We then decided to park and get down instead of waiting for drive through. Once inside we were excited to order and just ended up ordering everything! LOL! We wanted to try everything! But of course with all the orders the Bo Berry Biscuits and Peach Cobbler was sold out. But at-least we got the Bo Berry Shake which was great! Everything was good and with there being a lot of people, service was still fast. If I'm in the area, I will definitely give it another go.

Wow! This is probably the best chicken fingers I've tried. Very crispy on the outside, very tender and juicy on the inside, and in between you'll find the "kick". Spicy but flavorful. Their size also worth noting. They are larger than what other fast food places provide. Their "biscuits " are very large. Hands down the best I've tried. Their fries are served skin and all, very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel like you're on a road trip in a different place. The big difference though, is the friendly staff and the detail in their service. Very accommodating to make you feel comfortable. My final comment is that if you are into spicy Louisiana style cooking, this is the place you would want to visit.

FIRST TIME VISIT! Can I see a show of hands if you love chicken tenders?? Well, let me tell you, my friends, I found something special at Bojangles tonight. Not only is "Bojangles" fun to say, it's our new chicken tender spot! LOCATION: Easy to find, on Potranco, next to Auto Zone and Sonic. Parking is ample, with 2 handicap stalls and 2 reserved spots for military veterans! My husband, who was unaware of those spots, literally reversed out of a parking spot to pull into one of those reserved for military. Lol! In addition to a drive-thru that wraps around the back of the restaurant, there is an outdoor patio area that was kept pretty clean. MY IMPRESSIONS: we LOVE the respect for military veterans. Thank you! The indoor dining area is very clean and there is a window where you can watch a worker prepare fresh biscuits. I wave at the woman behind the glass and she waves back. I call out to the workers behind the nearby counter to ask what those dark bits in the dough were. Gasp! Blueberries! The workers are so friendly and ready to answer every one of my questions with patience and grace. I am told their chicken has a Cajun flavor with some heat, but nothing too overwhelming. They say their most popular sides are the Mac n cheese and dirty rice. And their most popular sauces are their house made ranch and Jalapeño ranch. I order a tenders meal with dirty rice and a sweet tea. Hubby orders the #8- a chicken sandwich combo and adds bacon. He chooses the Mac n cheese for his side and fills his cup with Dr. Pepper at the fountain. My first bite in a chicken tender shows off a moist and tender (pun intended!) inside and a crispy and pleasantly spicy outside. The Mac n cheese isn't anything to run into a burning building for, and the dirty rice is so-so. Taste and quality of what we're all used to getting from a fast food chicken joint. My favorite things were the chicken tenders and the people. Clara and manager Darrell were so welcoming and helpful. Thank you to this team for a great meal and new experience.

Food was delicious, Service was delicious! Wife and I haven't had Bojangles since we were stationed in North Carolina!! Truly enjoyed ourselves today! The manager even gave us a little Bojangles seasoning to go!! We truly appreciate the southern hospitality!! Welcome to San Antonio!!

I have been excited to get out here since they first opened. I was pretty disappointed that they did not have regular chicken. They only serve tenders and tender sandwiches here. I am not a fan of tenders but these were pretty good. Biscuit was on point as well. I hope they add regular chicken to their menu soon. I will probably come back once with my family to see if they like the tenders. Service was quick and patient with me even though I asked for they to give me freshly dropped tenders. Before I got to my table, my order was ready. When I questioned the freshness of the chicken, they reassured me it was from a batch that was just removed from the oil. Every bite was crunchy and juicy. There are only 6 2 seater tables. 7 4 seater out doors.

That Bojangles Dirty Rice was dang good!

We just wanted to try it. I will say the following. It's affordable, and not bad. It wasn't anything super special. The best items to us were the Bo berry biscuit if you ask them to go light on frosting. The jalapeno ranch and creamy buffalo were by FAR the best sauces. Mix the buffalo with your Mac and you got something. Also of note, at a friends suggestion we got a lightly frosted Bo berry, cut it in half, added some strips and the buffalos sauce, and man it was actually quite good. The fries if Warm are decent. The most surprising was we actually loved the dirty rice there versus Popeyes! Go figure. Because it's is affordable, we may come back. Not bad. Closer to a 4 than a 2.

We've been here twice now and both times were nice. Good friendly service and delicious hot food. The peach honey pepper sauce that they sell is what makes the chicken sandwich go from good to OMG that's awesome!! My wife really enjoyed the crispy chicken salad. She added the peach sauce with a little ranch on it too. All the other food was good. Nothing we ordered was bad but I'm telling y'all th love is slathering that sauce on everything. I ran out before I could try it on the peach cobbler. All the girls up front are really sweet and will help you decide! BTW the crispy chicken has a little spice to it so little ones might not want that.

I'm guessing once the initial rush dies down, the experience might feel a bit more relaxed. When I first walked in, there was a slight unpleasant smell, kind of like body odor, which wasn't the best first impression. That said, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Even though I ordered through the kiosk (which was easy and straightforward to use), employees still checked in to see if I needed anything. After placing my order, it took about 10-15 minutes to get my food, which felt reasonable considering how crowded it was. I decided to sit outside since it was a nice day, and they do have both indoor and outdoor seating options. As for the food--portions are definitely generous. I ordered two sliders (mild spice level) and a salad. The sliders had thick pieces of chicken, and while they were filling, the chicken itself was a bit too thick for my liking and didn't have much flavor beyond the spicy seasoning on the outside. On the positive side, the sauce on the sliders was really good. The salad was also a standout--I genuinely enjoyed it. The fries were another highlight: fresh, crispy, and paired well with the sauce. Overall, this visit felt a bit hit-or-miss, possibly because of how busy things were. I'm willing to give it another try down the line to see if the experience improves once things settle. If you're curious, it's worth checking out for yourself.

I've always had good service at this location, but you must also realize that most of the drive through employees are high school/ college kids. It's a fast food restaurant at the end of the day. I've never had a bad meal from this location though, and that can't be said for all cfa locations. My food is always warm, orders correct, the fries aren't soggy. I was 5 or 6 cars back and received my order as I was about to move forward at the intersection where cars are supposed to pull forward in a one to one fashion. SO because I was receiving my order so far back in the car line two cars from the right lane quickly passed ahead of me. This meant I had my order and had to wait for the two cars that moved past me to get their order. This is especially frustrating when you are in a "fast food" drive thru and the line is not moving fast enough like the food is. I'm sure I'm not the only one who experience this frustration because this Chick-fil-A is always sending out orders to cars way back in the drive thru line instead of to the cars up front. This is also dangerous for the workers who have to weave in and out of cars to deliver the food to out of order line orders. Someone really needs to rethink this not fast food drive thru.

Never did I expect to find a whole restaurant dedicated to chicken salads, but it actually makes for a very satisfying lunch spot. They have daily specials and on Friday we were excited for their tomato bisque. I tried their pimento cheese chicken salad, and sorta regretted it because it was very sweet when sandwiched in a croissant as my bread. My partner picked their new Jill pickle chicken salad on wheat and as a BLT, it was a much more savory option. We split and swapped our sandwiches which made for a good balance. I also tried their broccoli salad as my side and liked it. It had a light mayo dressing and a bit of cheese and bacon. Their tea options were also good and I drank their peach ice tea. Next time I want to try their buffalo chicken salad or maybe take home one of their to-go portions as an easy meal for the week. I support this restaurant concept! It's a little hard for me to eat inside restaurants anymore so I do mostly takeout, especially take out brought to my car. Just less pain for me. But OH this is worth the discomfort. Not that it's hard for handicapped. Parking is close to the building and handicap parking is close. It's easy to push open the door and plenty of room to walk or wheel through. I happened to stumble upon customer appreciation day, so was instantly greeted and handed a cup of Carol's chicken salad to take home. Wonderful surprise. Now I have to talk about the staff here. Always so friendly and helpful. And they don't just stand behind the counter. They come out and help. There are a number, a lot of varieties of fillings to choose from. They offer samples of any you wish to try. So you see it could take a while but it really doesn't. What with my pain and some new varieties since my last visit I was a little scatter brained. But they treated me like a loved friend or family member not annoyed at all. She even noticed my military ID when I got my credit card out and gave me that discount automatically. I also sat where I could see them react with the take out and pick up customers. Again smiling, friendly, helpful...helped to carry out or check the order. Could not have been nicer. Had them sit if not ready and brought to the table. So really above 5 star on that! Now the food. Not quite five star...but maybe that's me. Maybe I ordered wrong. It's been a while and I'm really nitpicking here. The bread on my sandwich seemed to be grilled, not toasted. Only one side of the bread was toasted and it was both very thin bread but also very limp and floppy. Maybe toasted on the menu meant grilled? The other tiny thing and again really nitpicking is my bacon. It was not warm...so it didn't have the best flavor profile it could bring to the sandwich. Now was this a bad sandwich? Not at all, it was a great sandwich which I gobbled and enjoyed. But those two touches have pushed this sandwich to even more stars before. Again I'm nitpicking this sandwich. The soup was great. I was getting another flavor and the photo made me change. It was fantastic ditto the grape salad, cookie, great pickle. Highly recommend...
