Today, I went with my wife and one of her friends who was visiting from Chicago on our way home from birding out at Guadalupe River State Park. I don't remember the first time well enough to comment on any changes. I had a hard time choosing a salad. Every single one of them sound fantastic. I finally went with the Mediterranean. All I can say is that it was a wonderful salad. The awesome young lady who prepared it for me used tongs to mix the Hoo Hah out of it. Not only was itt was super fresh, and but I could taste every one of the many ingredients in every bite. It also came in a HUGE bowl. It was what I call a "man salad". I was actually full when it was finished. The only downside of the meal was actually a very positive situation in my opinion. I thought my Sprite Zero tasted funny. My wife disagreed. Either way, I couldn't drink it. I asked a manager if I could get a new cup and explained the situation. She got a little cup and had one of her guys taste it. He agreed with me. Now, why is this a positive situation? That young man immediately got to work cleaning the nozzle in case there was anything in it that was tainting the soda. I have been in similar situations where they just give me a new cup and go right to work as if they didn't care. In this case, the manager and her worker scored major loyalty points! I am bringing my group back the first chance I get.

My partner picked their new Jill pickle chicken salad on wheat and as a BLT, it was a much more savory option. We split and swapped our sandwiches which made for a good balance. I also tried their broccoli salad as my side and liked it. It had a light mayo dressing and a bit of cheese and bacon. Their tea options were also good and I drank their peach ice tea. Next time I want to try their buffalo chicken salad or maybe take home one of their to-go portions as an easy meal for the week. I support this restaurant concept! But they treated me like a loved friend or family member not annoyed at all. She even noticed my military ID when I got my credit card out and gave me that discount automatically. The other tiny thing and again really nitpicking is my bacon. It was not warm...so it didn't have the best flavor profile it could bring to the sandwich. Now was this a bad sandwich?
