The restaurant is located in an old strip mall. The parking lot was full with one more space to park. When we walked in, all the tables were full with two needing to be cleaned. This was a good and bad sign. Food must be good and staff is overloaded with work. We saw ladies moving at breakneck speeds bringing food to tables and cleaning. The interior is modestly decorated and clean. Not knowing if we should wait for a table to be cleaned or go to the counter, we went to the counter. The nice lady there smiled, welcomed us and asked if we wanted a to go order. We told her we would dine there and she said go get a table and we'll wait on you. Hubs got a table while she explained the lunch special to me. Lunch special options were fried catfish, grilled ham and roast beef with gravy. They were out of the roast beef and gravy, stewed potatoes and field peas and snaps. Other vegetables were pinto beans, collard greens, green beans, slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, white corn and diced peaches. The lunch special was a meat, 3 veggies, dessert and a drink. Dessert was out so we were given a choice of another vegetable or diced peaches. Both of us got 4 vegetables. Our foods were delivered to our table and they were excellent. There was so much food we weren't able to make a huge dent so we asked for to go boxes. Lunch specials on Sunday are $11. Awesome foods for a fair price. The fried catfish according to my husband was delicious and perfectly cooked. The collard greens they serve are the best we have had in north Alabama. We were very pleased with our lunch and will go back to try other foods. Hubs got a cheeseburger and fries to go. Both were delicious!!! This is home cooking like your grandmother or mother cooked back in the good ole days when black and white TVs were all that was available.

Couple times employees, going the soda machine, would speak to the white guy but not me. After about 15 mins the white guy, having a door-dash order, was addressed. Still no acknowledgement to me regardless of the eye contact made by several behind the counter. Another white customer comes in, greeted accordingly...now they take my order and addressed the next (white customer) person right afterwards. After waiting for a long period (approx 10-15 mins) I get my order. During this entire time, I didn't address my concerns being I wanted to see/experience their natural customer service. Oh, tried to file a complaint and their system is never allowed completion and no one ever answered the phone numbers provided including the location...I feel the strategy is to make so difficult that you'll just go away.

I've reported the situation to Arby's corporate and local law enforcement because of how unnecessary and unsafe the encounter became. Beware: This Arby's advertises menu items like the Cordon Bleu, New Angus Cheesesteak, and Gyros for around $11, yet the past three times I've been here, they've been out of all of them. Each visit, I've been limited to just roast beef, beef & cheddar, or French dip. It feels misleading to promote items that are never available. Combined with the way customers are treated, this location clearly needs stronger leadership and accountability to ensure honest advertising and respectful customer service.
