Incident 1:12pm on 03/21/2020 - After the restaurant reopened I decided to give it another chance. While I was at the takeout window I saw the cook drop food she was transferring from the stove to the container onto the counter. She immediately looked over and saw that I had seen what had happened. She continued to transfer other food from the stove to the container but did not throw away the contaminated food. She must have looked back at me at least twice before my food was given to me. When I said something to the manager the cook got very defensive and the person giving me the food seemingly tried to hide what had gone on. Due to the current situation we are in I asked that the contaminated food that had been dropped on the counter be thrown out and they got very angry at me. I was not able to see whether they threw the contaminated food out or not. I will not go back and I warn all future customers to beware!!! read more

This place is the SLOWEST "fast food" I've ever been to. So many cars leave the drive thru line because of how long it takes to even order your food. It needs some serious staffing renovations read more

Just left the JI location without food or service. Waited in the drive thru line for over 10 minutes with no answer (two cars had already given up and left behind me) so I decided to try my luck inside. When I entered, a group of employees were sitting at the tables laughing amongst themselves and when I asked the man coming from the kitchen if the drive thru was closed he simply answered "idk I don't work the register" and joined his squad of deadbeat coworkers. Not one person asked if they could help and the kitchen looked deserted. If this is how they act on the job in the open, I can't even imagine what the food preparation is like. I usually love bojangles but I strongly do not recommend this location until new management takes over. Treat customers the way you would want to be treated! read more

Avoid this Bojangles on Folly Road. Go at noon for lunch and if you ask for a chicken box meal with fixin's you'll be told we have no white meat and we don't have all the variety of fixin's such as pinto beans, coleslaw, dirty rice etc. This has happened to me twice. Lunchtime items should be fully stocked and ready to serve. But not at Bojangles on Folly Road. Never again. read more

I've never had breakfast at Bojangles and I recently ordered the cajun filet biscuit. It was pretty dang good. I always write bojangles off on James Island based on some mental bias that I dreamt up, but I'll be craving that spicy, slightly greasy, juicy fried chicken and buttery biscuit that only costs $3 very soon. read more

Do no go to this Bojangles if you have any time constraint, waited behind 2 other people to order, the cashier kept helping prepare drive through meals and took 15 minutes to take my order. The staff was totally disorganized, not timely or paying attention to their customers. When I got my order 25 mins after walking into the store, my kids mac n cheese cold (as if it had just com out of the fridge) and no biscuit. Probably one of the worst Bojangles I have ever been to. Customer service is non existent and you better plan on waiting for 30-45 minutes to get your food. It'll probably come out wrong anyway so just save yourself the trouble and make it all from scratch at home (and that includes raising the chicken and skinning it) because you would save time and money. read more

Watched a man pay for his food and then wait until 10 others behind him came in and were given immediate FREE food and drinks, before he was given the food that he PAID for. The staff at this establishment is beyond rude. No utterance of hello, thank you or even "here you go." However they were quick to tell me again (this has been happening for months now according to friends and family) that they will not sell me a second honey mustard for a 4 piece supreme dinner. They pointed to a sign about how they may be out of things as if I can't read but they weren't out they just refused to sell me another sauce. Of note had I ordered online there was the option of ordering an additional honey mustard for $0 .39. Finally, the food was subpar as there was no seasoning on the fries and the supremes were so over cooked that they tasted burnt. I have been in the customer service industry for many years and I was very disapointed in the way the inside looked like it was un kept The Employees acted like they didn't care if you liked the food or not. They seemed very unhappy to work there. A customer should be met with a smile and a nice greeting not in this place. I have eaten at other Bo Jangles and was very pleased but this place could use some straightening up and customer service training for sure. read more

Imma honest with you cuz, I'm a huge fan of bojangles, some would even say that I am a "Boj connoisseur. Making a stop at this bojangles hurt my pride though and made me die a little on the inside. My faith in its success as a fast food establishment is dwindling due to the pitiful experience. The individual running the drive through lacked manners and neglected to inform me that they were not serving legs on a Sunday at 12 after church which is an atrocity if I must say so myself. very dirty, bugs on the counters, staff unavailable to busy joking in the back to take care of customers, Staff was beyond rude and uses foul language, tables were not wiped and filthy, and with all that I ended up sick for 2 days. Best Bojangles location I have ever been to. Love the staff and the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Well worth the extra few minutes it takes me to go to this particular Bojangles. This business does not care that the drive thru line has 40 cars waiting every day and with much longer wait times than they should be. They have refused to reopen the dining room when ALL others businesses along Folly Rd have done so. I refuse to try to get food here any longer. Reasonably priced, but the service was terrible. It took upwards of ten minutes for our order to get taken, and then a further 15-20 to get our food, which they got the order wrong several times, until eventually we had to tell them exactly what was on the order (off of the receipt) to get them to realize our order was incomplete. Once we got our food it was good. The entire place was dirty, most of the tables weren't wiped, and there was a swastika scratched into the toilet in the bathroom. Also, there was a tray of chicken (that they sold to a customer) that was sitting outside of the heat lamp, with employees breathing on it and potentially sneezing on it. And during the whole thing, there was about six employees on break just sitting in the lobby, doing absolutely nothing. Great first experience with bojangles. Biscuit was great. read more

This Bojangles was out of fries and honey mustard, so I asked to replace my fries with Mac n cheese, which they were also out of. The order took forever and it was almost empty inside the restaurant. Just a complete mess all around and I will not be returning. read more

Since Kentucky fried moved away this is the go to place for chicken. They do it well. Friendly folks but I must say the fries are not my favorite but that's ok I'm here for the chicken. Greasy food fast and usually good service. A nice hangover option, but usually quite busy in the mornings especially on the weekends.

Its basically like a worse version of KFC. It's not great but it's not anywhere near bad. The biscuits are super good.

Used to be hot and good! Now the chicken tenders are overcooked and cold. Non seasoned french fries makes me so sad . Also they forget the honeymustard everytime !! Last month I got the 4 tender box and they only gave me 2 tenders and no biscuit . They are going downhill !!! read more

This fast food restaurant has good chicken biscuits, comparable to chick-fil-a's biscuit sandwiches. The chicken has thick breading that slightly overpowers the thin layer of meat inside. The biscuit is very buttery and delicious. read more

Rather than fixing their mistake by shorting me on my order they literally requested that I waste 25 minutes of my time to drive back to their location,order in hand, to prove their incompetence? As a frequenter of fried chicken establishments like KFC and popeyes, I must say that I really enjoyed this restaurant more! The chicken was very moist but fried correct. I tried the pinto beans and the rice and would recommend them as complements of the meal. Took me about 2 minutes from ordering to out the door and very affordable. Will be back. read more

Just went and get a Bacon egg and cheese biscuit in the basket was hard as a hockey puck . Also got a grilled chicken sandwich club and they gave me a fried chicken that was thin as hell. Not good this time. read more
