Informed us they were out of Pepsi after ordering. Informed us they were out of cajun seasoning for the fries after we paid and the water we replaced the Pepsi with was tap water in a cup. Mash potatoes and gravy didn't have gravy and chicken was barely warm. Add on the fact the staff was rude, closing the takeout window manually with two hand in the middle of a conversation, makes this the absolute worst Bojangles we've ever been to. After reading all the reviews, I can see that there is trend of them running out of the whole menu. I went there today, and while in the drive through, I was told that their "system was down" and to give them 5 minutes to get it running again. So I parked. Yet, I encountered 3 boys who had ordered their food and recieved it. I decided to go inside. When I got inside, they told me that their lobby was closed, and to try the drive-through again. I then went into the drive-through again, and was told that the only thing left on the menu was cajun fries. Apparently they had sold out of everything 45 minutes before closing. I usually do not leave reviews on any restaurants page but the consistency of actually serving food at this particular Bojangles is very lacking. Stopped by yesterday in the drive thru at 530pm just to pick up some Cole Slaw. My husband and I sat in the car waiting for someone to take our order while watching two employees having a conversation outside the front door, clearly watching us. we decided to drive around to the window and honked the horn. Finally someone opened the window and we asked if we could order some Cole Slaw and at that point we were told they didn't have any. What was hilarious but sad at the same time was the obvious smell of marijuana and not a single car in the parking lot or the drive thru. Pathetic at best. Basically no standards. Their drive thru is slower than basically anywhere else for any time of day, any day of the week. They almost always close their lobby just because their lazy (there would only be a few cars in the drive thru line and maybe 2 parked). I don't know if they need new workers or a tougher manager but they can't do anything quick at all. Especially at the speaker, you get told to "hold on for a moment" and it ends up being almost 10 mins of no response. Same for approaching the drive thru window. Never had a positive experience at the bojangles on Folly Rd off chs connector. Never pleasant employees, never timely (1hr drive thru wait for 7 cars), incorrect order, and the food was cold. Normally they are "out of biscuits"/"out of chicken" so at least they had some this time. Management should be present at this location, hire better employees, or shut it down. Bojangles on Folly Road on James Island is a great place to go for all things chicken, biscuits, and fixings. This location is very consistent in their overall quality and make it very easy to get in and out with all of your food. The staff here works really hard to make sure that you get your order quickly and correctly. Arrived at 6 am and was immediately told there were no Bo-Berry Biscuits. How in God's name are you out of items and you just opened, seriously?! Person who took my order was very rude and short with me. Handed me my card and food without saying a word. DO NOT GO IN THIS PLACE!!!! I have never been so disappointed in a fast food restaurant as I was at the BoJangles tonight. While traveling we stopped in for supper and had a horrible experience Like others have said, I would give ZERO stars if possible. There were no other customers inside when my family went in at 6:50pm, pretty typical supper time. The employees acted shocked when my family of 4 walked in the door. Then, they were out of dirty rice. They did scrape one scooper out for my daughter, but I had to choose fries. The fries were old. When my husband tried to order a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, we were told they had no sausage, "and no eggs and we've turned the grill off". What restaurant turns the grill off more than 3 hours before closing?!?!?!!! My daughters and I went to the restroom. It was filthy. One toilet was clogged and the other one barely had enough toilet paper for one person. I'm trying to send a message to the owner, but can't even do that because the website won't accept it since there is cooption to choose for the restaurant blank. I came through today and I thought the service was great! I noticed many negative reviews and wanted to at least try and highlight my good experience! The lady taking my drive thru order was kind and quick! I ordered supremes earlier in the day so it took a little longer they dropped them fresh (which I never mind waiting longer for because you'll know it's hot!) she also gave me a honey packet for my biscuit which was a nice touch. Extremely rude staff. I walked in after my kids menu was prepared incorrectly and immediately heard the staff state "Who walked through that door?!?" As I entered to get my order corrected. The staff rudely stared at me. Not one person asked could they help me or why I came in. I proceeded to explain that I had received the incorrect Dixon with my combo and the back cook came from around and began speaking about how he confirmed a part of my order. Yes, he did confirm that part of my order. However, it was the part he did not confirm that was incorrect. The staff began to laugh as I stated my dissatisfaction with him arguing with me instead of simply fixing the order. So I've always enjoyed Bojangles. They are consistent, affordable, have great fountain Pepsi and they serve breakfast all day, every day. Oh, and let's not forget some of the best people watching of any fast food joint! This James Island location is no exception. Drive through lines move quickly, tables and drink/condiment station is typically clean and in order, and the staff is respectful, even when it is obvious that they do not want to be there. I am more of a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit person myself, but their fried chicken is what they are famous for. If you have never tried Bojangles before...and I have been shocked at how many people I know who fit into this category...definitely give them a try. read more

Don't waste your time stopping here. This is absolutely the worst Bojangles in the entire Charleston area. Just went through got a chicken sandwich and the entire bottom bun is hard as rock. and the chicken tasted like it hadn't been sitting for two days. People are rude. I went there two days ago and they were actually out of chicken. I have no idea who the district manager is for this location. But I know they're not doing their job. Waited in the drive thru line for over 10 minutes with no answer (two cars had already given up and left behind me) so I decided to try my luck inside. When I entered, a group of employees were sitting at the tables laughing amongst themselves and when I asked the man coming from the kitchen if the drive thru was closed he simply answered "idk I don't work the register" and joined his squad of deadbeat coworkers. Not one person asked if they could help and the kitchen looked deserted. If this is how they act on the job in the open, I can't even imagine what the food preparation is like. Chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea! What else is there to say? It's fresh, reliable, and usually pretty fast. Unfortunately, this location is on the way to the beach so the summertime traffic gets pretty busy. Staff are friendly, but there is a fair amount of turnover as I would expect at most fast food restaurants. The lobby and inside seating area is nice and bright, although I usually find myself in drive-thru when I'm needing a quick pick-me-up. Their regular fried chicken has a nice spice to it, but if you're looking for something with more kick, you might want to try the cajun. They also usually have some sort of "special", so pay attention for those to be posted, and try 'em out before they're all gone! read more

Incident 1:12pm on 03/21/2020 - After the restaurant reopened I decided to give it another chance. While I was at the takeout window I saw the cook drop food she was transferring from the stove to the container onto the counter. She immediately looked over and saw that I had seen what had happened. She continued to transfer other food from the stove to the container but did not throw away the contaminated food. She must have looked back at me at least twice before my food was given to me. When I said something to the manager the cook got very defensive and the person giving me the food seemingly tried to hide what had gone on. Due to the current situation we are in I asked that the contaminated food that had been dropped on the counter be thrown out and they got very angry at me. I was not able to see whether they threw the contaminated food out or not. I will not go back and I warn all future customers to beware!!! read more
