I would rank this a total zero. They are using this automated drive thru where you cannot ask questions and then guesses your order which was wrong. Then was inline for the window for more than 20bmin and gave up. Went inside to fix my order and found the staff standing around. When I asked for a 12 piece dinner, was told that it would take 30 min to cook. I said a few choices words and left. Went to Zaxbys and purchased the 20 finger dinner and was done within 5 min. Will I go back to this Bojangles again? HELL NO. read more

Informed us they were out of Pepsi after ordering. Informed us they were out of cajun seasoning for the fries after we paid and the water we replaced the Pepsi with was tap water in a cup. Mash potatoes and gravy didn't have gravy and chicken was barely warm. Add on the fact the staff was rude, closing the takeout window manually with two hand in the middle of a conversation, makes this the absolute worst Bojangles we've ever been to. If this is your franchise you need to close, sell or seek new management. "We ain't got no more!" should never be said to customers. read more

AWFUL AND NASTY! Just went to the drive through on JI bc Chick Filet was closed. The girl at the window, "Dominique" had the worst rotten teeth and half of them were gone. She was rude and didn't give a rip. I ordered a 2 piece leg & fry with sweet tea. Here are the things in list form that we're not right: 1. Were out of fries so i ordered Mac n cheese (per Dominique) 2. Did not receive my sweet tea 3. Did not receive any napkins 4. Asked for ketchup but they were out of it (per Dominque) 5. Chicken tasted like it was warmed over and the thigh was very dry. How can a thigh be dry?? 5. So basically spent $8.87 for awful food & service. Still cannot get over her teeth. Won't be going back ever. read more

I tried drive thru. No one answered. When i drove around 3 employees in the parking lot. When I went inside to order, the cashier had a baby on her hip. Of course, they were out of what I wanted. The only reason I am giving a 2 star rating is because my food was prepared quickly but then again no one was inside. read more

The good - food was ok, it's a fast food chicken joint. The bad - the place was filthy. Handprints on all doors and windows, sticky floors from using a dirty mop, greasy smell in the place. The ugly - as we waited for our order and watched the staff interact with each other, every other word out of their mouths was the F-word. Extremely unprofessional place. We will never go back to this Bojangles. read more

Uber driver arrived to pick up order Was told chicken sandwich is out of stock I have her ask if they will substitute chicken tenders They tell Uber driver yes, she tells me and I heard as much over the phone Order arrives with no chicken after an hour Call store and talk to manager Manager makes excuses, says it's not their policy to substitute I tell him that his employee lied to me and the driver then, continues to make excuses I ask for district managers number He refuses to give it to me, keeps trying to talk over me I hang up read more

The worst attitudes and worst run franchise. The owner should be ashamed. I don't blame the employees. If I worked there and had to tell customers constantly that I'm out of everything I'm sure I wouldn't have a great attitude either. Chick-fil-a shit down for renovations down the street and this franchise had a real opportunity to win a lot of business but the manger/owner obviously don't care about that or their employees. Just embarrassing. read more

I get food inflation and prices rising but to raise prices AND give less meat? the amount of chicken in the tenders...is so thin it's just pretty much eating fried flour. The smallest mac n cheese. That's smaller than a kid's meal. My husband was still hungry after $15 on a meal. He has been eating Bonjangles for years. It's been his go to on the island but he said never again. read more

Bojangles - a person holding a piece of food - Fast Food Near Me - Charleston, South Carolina

Absolutely embarrassing franchise. Whoever owns and manages this establishment should be arrested for gross negligence. How do you only have 2 people on staff at 9:30 in the morning? Defeats the entire purpose of your franchise to have people waiting in the drive through line for 30-45 minutes because you're too cheap to have more people on staff. It infuriates me that this place has such a prime spot on Folly Road and consistently under delivers because of horrible ownership and slow staff. read more

Quite literally one of the saddest food establishments I have ever been to. The people are sad. The food would be sad if they had any, the equipment is sad, even the nasty filth you can see from the drive thru window is sad. Shame on you Bojangles. Shame on you and your sad chicken. read more

After reading all the reviews, I can see that there is trend of them running out of the whole menu. I went there today, and while in the drive through, I was told that their "system was down" and to give them 5 minutes to get it running again. So I parked. Yet, I encountered 3 boys who had ordered their food and recieved it. I decided to go inside. When I got inside, they told me that their lobby was closed, and to try the drive-through again. I then went into the drive-through again, and was told that the only thing left on the menu was cajun fries. Apparently they had sold out of everything 45 minutes before closing. I usually do not leave reviews on any restaurants page but the consistency of actually serving food at this particular Bojangles is very lacking. I personally wouldn't waste my time going there. read more

What a shit show. They said many people called out tonight. Sunday at 7:15 and out of everything. Worst part is masks being worn improperly under chin, no gloves on kitchen workers. NOT good. My husband LOVES the chicken! read more

Stopped by yesterday in the drive thru at 530pm just to pick up some Cole Slaw. My husband and I sat in the car waiting for someone to take our order while watching two employees having a conversation outside the front door, clearly watching us. we decided to drive around to the window and honked the horn. Finally someone opened the window and we asked if we could order some Cole Slaw and at that point we were told they didn't have any. What was hilarious but sad at the same time was the obvious smell of marijuana and not a single car in the parking lot or the drive thru. Pathetic at best. This franchisee needs to wake up! read more

The chicken breast were just as good as they are at ever Bojangles, but that was all I had the chance to taste, with 45 minutes left before closing I didn't get the chance to try the Bo' Biscuits or seasoned fries, maybe next time I'll go 2 hrs before the close and see what they have. read more

I'm from the country so of course bojangles has a warm spot in my heart, however this particular bojangles wasn't warm in any sense of the word. My food was cold and uncooked (did y'all just slice this potato raw and call it a day). Not to mention they forgot my sweet tea. My biscuit looked like it had a whole dang bite out of it!? This bojangles misrepresents everything the south stands for. If you're visiting I suggest you starve rather then endure this monstrosity of a bojangles. read more

Bojangles on Folly Road on James Island is a great place to go for all things chicken, biscuits, and fixings. This location is very consistent in their overall quality and make it very easy to get in and out with all of your food. The staff here works really hard to make sure that you get your order quickly and correctly. I have been impressed every time I have been here and if you have to feed the lot of people quickly this is a really good place to go. read more

Basically no standards. Their drive thru is slower than basically anywhere else for any time of day, any day of the week. They almost always close their lobby just because their lazy (there would only be a few cars in the drive thru line and maybe 2 parked). I don't know if they need new workers or a tougher manager but they can't do anything quick at all. Especially at the speaker, you get told to "hold on for a moment" and it ends up being almost 10 mins of no response. Same for approaching the drive thru window. It took 8 mins for someone to even walk to the window. read more

Never had a positive experience at the bojangles on Folly Rd off chs connector. Never pleasant employees, never timely (1hr drive thru wait for 7 cars), incorrect order, and the food was cold. Normally they are "out of biscuits"/"out of chicken" so at least they had some this time. Management should be present at this location, hire better employees, or shut it down. Disgraceful. read more

Arrived at 6 am and was immediately told there were no Bo-Berry Biscuits. How in God's name are you out of items and you just opened, seriously?! Person who took my order was very rude and short with me. Handed me my card and food without saying a word. The Cajun Chicken Filet with egg tasted like smoke, the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten at a fast food establishment. Took one bite and threw the rest away. It was so bad it made me gag. I chugged a bunch of water to keep from up chucking. I should have known it would be gross when I looked in the drive through window and saw a filthy kitchen and nasty grease stains everywhere. Never again! Bo-Jangles, do better! read more

Beyond terrible. Ordered inside at 12:45pm. Was told they were out of fried chicken and biscuits. Employees didn't put sweet and unsweet out for their guests. Pepsi machine needs to be brixed. Napkin dispensers out as well. Multiple employees just sitting at tables. Might as well close it down. read more

I wish I could give no stars. All the Bijangles in the area are the same extremely rude staff slow as I don't know what. James Island is by far the worst. I sat at the drive thru speaker for 10 minutes before being helped and that was with an empty parking lot! sat at the window another 10 minutes listening to the workers inside yell back and forth at each other. it's ridiculous the owner of this establishment is not working to make it a better consumer experience. Just shut it down if you don't care because it's a joke of a restauran. read more

I came through today and I thought the service was great! I noticed many negative reviews and wanted to at least try and highlight my good experience! The lady taking my drive thru order was kind and quick! I ordered supremes earlier in the day so it took a little longer they dropped them fresh (which I never mind waiting longer for because you'll know it's hot!) she also gave me a honey packet for my biscuit which was a nice touch. Everyone remember to be kind and patient, tourist season kills every year and the heat and humidity doesn't help! read more

Extremely rude staff. I walked in after my kids menu was prepared incorrectly and immediately heard the staff state "Who walked through that door?!?" As I entered to get my order corrected. The staff rudely stared at me. Not one person asked could they help me or why I came in. I proceeded to explain that I had received the incorrect Dixon with my combo and the back cook came from around and began speaking about how he confirmed a part of my order. Yes, he did confirm that part of my order. However, it was the part he did not confirm that was incorrect. The staff began to laugh as I stated my dissatisfaction with him arguing with me instead of simply fixing the order. If my child had not been the one asking for the food I would have walked out without. Rude, disrespectful, and needs to close the doors until it can find new management. read more

I guess some things don't change and some managers and owners don't care. I visited this location today and failed to read previous reviews first. It's Bojangles, for heaven's sake, it's supposed to be the same everywhere and all the time! NOT, here. No chicken at 7:45pm. No potatoes, or beans . They had a few teeny tiny tenders as small as my thumb and had the nerve to charge full price for them. Overall dirty looking place with unkempt employees who were indifferent to our presence. So long Folly Rd bojangles, I won't go back. read more

DO NOT GO IN THIS PLACE!!!! I have never been so disappointed in a fast food restaurant as I was at the BoJangles tonight. While traveling we stopped in for supper and had a horrible experience Like others have said, I would give ZERO stars if possible. There were no other customers inside when my family went in at 6:50pm, pretty typical supper time. The employees acted shocked when my family of 4 walked in the door. Then, they were out of dirty rice. They did scrape one scooper out for my daughter, but I had to choose fries. The fries were old. When my husband tried to order a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, we were told they had no sausage, "and no eggs and we've turned the grill off". What restaurant turns the grill off more than 3 hours before closing?!?!?!!! My daughters and I went to the restroom. It was filthy. One toilet was clogged and the other one barely had enough toilet paper for one person. I'm trying to send a message to the owner, but can't even do that because the website won't accept it since there is cooption to choose for the restaurant blank. I will be calling the home office first thing in the morning! read more

So I've always enjoyed Bojangles. They are consistent, affordable, have great fountain Pepsi and they serve breakfast all day, every day. Oh, and let's not forget some of the best people watching of any fast food joint! This James Island location is no exception. Drive through lines move quickly, tables and drink/condiment station is typically clean and in order, and the staff is respectful, even when it is obvious that they do not want to be there. I am more of a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit person myself, but their fried chicken is what they are famous for. If you have never tried Bojangles before...and I have been shocked at how many people I know who fit into this category...definitely give them a try. read more

Yes I know it's a fast food chain. Guess what I like them. They are fast always friendly and the menu is available all day. Did I mention that its also reasonably priced? Chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea! What else is there to say? It's fresh, reliable, and usually pretty fast. Unfortunately, this location is on the way to the beach so the summertime traffic gets pretty busy. Staff are friendly, but there is a fair amount of turnover as I would expect at most fast food restaurants. The lobby and inside seating area is nice and bright, although I usually find myself in drive-thru when I'm needing a quick pick-me-up. Their regular fried chicken has a nice spice to it, but if you're looking for something with more kick, you might want to try the cajun. They also usually have some sort of "special", so pay attention for those to be posted, and try 'em out before they're all gone! read more

This location of Bojangles is always out of product and the customer service is horrendous. It is in dire need of new management.

Don't waste your time stopping here. This is absolutely the worst Bojangles in the entire Charleston area. Just went through got a chicken sandwich and the entire bottom bun is hard as rock. and the chicken tasted like it hadn't been sitting for two days. People are rude. I went there two days ago and they were actually out of chicken. I have no idea who the district manager is for this location. But I know they're not doing their job. People are mad because you pull up to the drive-through to try to order food. they are consistent about one thing and that's terrible food and terrible service. read more
