Looks like there has been a management change since my last visit. Employees were bustling and filling orders and the place was hopping with customers. The dining room area was clean, orders were served very quickly, cashier was friendly and taking care to clarify orders. The food quality was great and flavors were back to expected standards. I ordered a 2-piece chicken dinner at the drive thru. When I pulled up to pay, it was obvious by the smell from the restaurant that they had burned some food. It smelled almost as bad as burnt popcorn. I had to wait for my chicken. When I got it home, the crust tasted burnt. They had obviously used the same oil that had been used to burn some food. Even I know that when oil has burned food, the oil is no longer any good. Oh, they also only gave me only one side with no plastic utensils or napkins. I have ordered a box of boberry biscuits from this restaurant 3x and every time they offer extra icing. I say yes to the extra icing and do not get extra icing. This location was getting better, the manager that was there was starting to change things around. Sadly the manager transferred to another location and now the place is back to the way it was. The employees are very slow and unmotivated. I waited almost 20 mins in line with only 2 people in front of me. The attitude of the employees are horrible. Very sarcastic. We stopped by this Bojangles' in Calhoun, over an hour's drive northwest of Atlanta, for breakfast on our way to Knoxville. It's located just off I-75 exit 312 (SR 53 - Calhoun, Fairmount, Rome) with a bunch of other fast food and chain restaurants. Around 10am on a Friday, the restaurant was busy inside the small dining room and outside at the drive-thru. Inside, there looked to be a lot of retirees finishing up breakfast, enjoying coffee, chatting, and reading the paper. I ordered a Cajun filet biscuit combo with Bo-Tato Rounds (Bojangles' bite-sized version of hash browns) and coffee for $6.30, tax included. This was a filling breakfast, though the biscuit wasn't as good as I'm used to Bojangles' biscuits being (which is great). The biscuit was a bit dry. The filet was plenty big and tasted OK. I got 4 Bo rounds with my order and they were alright too. Coffee was self-serve and it was fine. Bojangles' doesn't have iced coffee which I wish they had. Maybe someday. Good service. Overall, a pretty ordinary breakfast that served it's purpose. read more

The food is great. If you get them to bring you any. I have been here multiple times and had problems with the service before. But the food was worth it. Today was the final day. My wife had ordered the food 35 minutes before I had gotten there. When I arrived the girl was polite enough to tell me they needed to cook more chicken. I said ok. I waited another 30 minutes before approaching the employees. They proceeded to tell me it was going to be another 20 minutes before they could get me chicken. 1st an employee lied to the lady in front of me who came back to get an order of fries she was shorted. They told her it would have to wait but I saw an entire service slot full of fries. Maybe because she was Spanish. I hope not. Then my order was incorrect in that I ordered a five piece Supreme but was only given four. They had my recipe and said I only paid for a four piece. Don't care to pay for the five piece I ordered to begin with but was told the cashier was new so Oh Well. Not even asked if I would like to get it corrected and get what I ordered. Just dismissed. First I must disclose that my husbands ex wife works here. I have been here several times without him while she worked and never had issues. Actually let her daughter give her a hug Friday when I came to get breakfast for my coworkers at the school I work at and it was fine, but today in particular he came in the store with me and upon walking in she immediately cut an ugly look said "I can't do this" and walked to the back. I'm sorry can't do what? Your job? I didn't expect a bad reaction as we are civil people and just want to buy dinner and leave with that comment and behavior I had to laugh out loud it was similar to a toddler throwing a tantrum; not to mention he didn't speak to or look at her at all when we entered the establishment. Fortunately for us the sweet girl that took our order was lovely unfortunately I didn't receive a receipt so I cant brag on her name. However we received our food and left. The fries were decent and had good seasoning the biscuits kinda sucked and I love their chicken biscuits, but it was hard not like a normal crust on the biscuit but was hard also fairly cold by the time I got to where I was going and we went less than probably three minutes down the road so I'm assuming it was already cold when we got it there weren't any fresh biscuits in the slot thing so I know they had been sitting a while. Ended up throwing half of it away. All in all not a great experience but the sweet girl that took our order was great I would love to have her take my order again so sad I didn't catch her name. It's alright.. it's a fast food joint, how much can you really expect? The food was hot and fresh. I ordered a tailgate meal & thankfully the nice lady asked if we got our half gallon of sweet tea - we didn't. She brought it out to us after our food, which was great until we got home & my husband took a big sip... there is one sure fire way to offend someone in the south & that's tell them that you have sweet tea & then it's not sweetened. I went to pick up breakfast from Bojangles for me and my family this past Sunday 1-3-21, just like I like I do almost every Sunday. The dining room was closed, so the drive thru line had an approximate 30 minute wait time. I ordered our food, $73.00 and some change. A big order. The same order I place every Sunday when I'm there. I pulled out of the drive thru and parked to ensure I received all my food. While backing out of the space to leave, a Bojangles employee pecked on my window to inform me my credit card had been declined. I gave them another card. It was declined. She came back out and told me it was their payment system malfunctioning. They tried to reboot the system. Once rebooted, the 3rd card I offered them was declined. By this time I had been waiting in my car, with the food for over 10 minutes in addition to the 30 minutes I spent waiting in line. The employee gave me my card back and told me she had been instructed to take the food back from me. I was stunned. I've been trying for 4 days to speak with the store manager. The past 2 days no one will answer the phone. My warning to you, be wary of what may or may not happen after waiting in line for 30 min. After that long and drawn out saga, I drove 10 min to the Bojangles in Adairsville. I pulled straight to the window, placed my order, paid with a card that been declined at the Calhoun location, received my order within 5 minutes and drove away without any issues. I'm very disappionted I was treated this way at the Calhoun Bojangles. Being a loyal and consistent customer doesn't go very far with them. read more
