Landmark stated they are waiting on Reds to call and update their them with the diagnosis and fact they can't work on the system. Due to Reds failure to do their job, I now can't get Landmark to reassign to another contractor. Also, Reds left my furnace in parts, so whoever has to come behind them has to deal with a torn apart system as well.

Anthony was a nightmare! I hired him and was told that it would be $275. The chimney was not…read morelined so he tried to Parge it. It did not stick. He tried again the next day for some reason. He later said he just wanted to know if it would work and would not change me for the 2 hours. The flue was too big for the two furnaces causing condensation. What should have been done from the beginning was two four inch pipes all the way from the furnaces to the cap. He was very unprofessional. He barrowed a drill from me and left the job to run errands then called with rambling expiations of why he would be back later. Apparently he had no capital to buy any parts or equipment, thus the five checks. At one point he said a guy at Home Depot said it was a good idea to insulate the four inch pipes. At this point I became uncomfortable and said I wanted to research it myself. I found a lot of information online and called Northwest Heating to ask their opinion about the insulation. They said it was not a good idea as it is classified as a combustible and the chimney is internal and therefore not as prone to temperature swings causing condensation. Surprisingly they said they would pay for the pipe as it should have been done when it was installed nine years ago. They told me they could hook both up for $150 in the morning. I figured I would have them do the pipe and Anthony could come back and do the vent cap. I guess Anthony was mad that they were doing the pipe and was belligerent on the phone. So when Northwest told me the cap Anthony was planning to use was not code for the situation I told them to put on the sheet metal one they recommended. I called Anthony to ask him to bring by the receipts for the unused parts and I gave him the check for three hours he said he was owed. That was five hours minus the two he said he would not charge me for the 2nd parging. At that point he started yelling he wanted the additional two hours. I said, " you said you would credit those two hours." To which he replied that was before you washed me out! I'm going to lean your property he yelled! It was not worth the scene and the hassle so I just gave him another check. I work from home so this was very disruptive for four days I wasted hours listening to him. He said he thought he could do it in a day or a day and a half. I wrote five checks totaling $536! All I can see that he accomplished was to remove the cap/pipe clear the bird nest, attempt to parge and assembled the galvanized pipe. He said he fixed a hole and wanted to show me pictures. I just wanted him to leave. Meanwhile, Northwest Heating came and installed the exhaust pipes and cap in two hours and charged $150. Done deal! Sorry for the long story. It was truly unbelievably bad!

Hiring Anthony is the worst decision I've made in home repair. I needed chimney bricks repaired,…read moreand a new cap. The first thing he did was ask for money in advance. This became a pattern. Asking for money before buying a part, who does that? This guy does. Even worse, he took out my chimney flue I had thought for repair, and never brought it back. Long story short, he took all of the money and did 1/3 of the job. This 2-day process has been going on 5 weeks and he doesn't answer my requests to finish what his receipt promised he would do. He took my property, money, and now I don't even have a flue to attach a cap to, and he did not install the cap I've paid for. He does not respond to texts or calls. He has a rolodex of excuses. Rent is due. Flat tire. Getting evicted. Bigger job needs done downtown first. It seems like he robs Peter to pay Paul, and he actually lied to me 5 times about when he would show up. Each of these days I stayed home waiting for him, no-show each time. I gave him SO many chances to make it good before doing reviews and looking in to legal help. The funny thing is, my boss needed a $2000 job done on his chimney, and I would have recommended Anthony if he had done anything he said he would do. I've told my boss, and 3 neighbors, to never use him. If he's poor, it's his own fault, though he will never admit it. This experience has actually changed my faith in people, it is sad. He also goes under "Northend Masonry." Never use either. Tell your friends.

He did his work well and made our fireplace look like new. I was also prepared to buy a new remote because our's stopped working. MJ took our existing remote apart and fixed it for us, saving us a significant expense. He also did some touch up painting to our facade, where I scratched it trying to remove the glass. I'm very appreciative of MJ for that. I'm taking one star away because of my initial customer service experience. Early last week, I made an appointment for Thursday. I was given a four hour window, from 12-4 pm. I waited all afternoon, only to be told that the technician would not make it out within the given timeframe. Since I had a commitment that evening, I had to reschedule for today, Monday. As a first time customer, I expressed my disappointment to the young female receptionist and asked for the service manager to call me. I never received a call. That tainted my first experience with All Valley, but MJ made up for it with his excellent service. I would use All Valley again.
