The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of issues with timeliness in coming/arrival and finishing jobs in a timely manner that others mentioned in their reviews. Called Top of The Stack today - to request service for our chimney / wood burning stove. Matthew answered the phone, took down my address and was at our home in less than an hour. He is a man of few words. Got right to work. Scraped and vacuumed the stove. Swept and inspected the chimney. I received a text message when he was on his way. He was so professional and courteous. He told me he was going to go up and take some pictures and come back down and explain to me what he seen. Come to find out there was a tree branch growing beside my chimney and every time the wind blew it was hitting my cap and eventually knocked it off. This was also affecting my neighbor because her chimney cap was smashed to one side because of that same tree branch. I had Brandon show my neighbor the pictures so she would not light a fire in her fireplace because of the tree branch up there that could catch fire. She had actually seen my chimney cap one day on the ground, picked it up and saved it. Brandon asked if he could see it. She gave it to him, he then said he could put it back up there for me and also try to straighten out my neighbor's cap. He went above and beyond. I am so impressed by him. They showed up, calling us when they were on the way, within the scheduled appointment time. They were very professional and careful as to place down tarp in the area of my fireplace and walk areas as I have light color carpet nearby. The work was done, explained to me my concerns and left without any residual or marks on my carpet. I am calling them out again when I need service or assistance as I am not to happy on a roof, just saying! I thanked them for the help and recommendations that were provided to me too.
