This is a six star ride. Wow was it fun and informative! I called last minute and Sean set me up in his tour group. What an awesome and inexpensive way to spend 3-4 hours. You'll learn about the city, get some good exercise, and see some incredible scenery. Sean knows everything about the region and its inhabitants. I never knew what a Basque was until last Saturday. And who knew that every yahoo on the planet, even its own beer guzzling citizens, mispronounce Boise? It should be pronounced "Bwahz." The word is derived from a French trapper/guide who gazed over the verdant valley and blinding blue smurf turf (actually the smurf turf probably wasn't there yet) and proclaimed "Les Bois! Les Bois!" ("The Woods! The Woods!"). Just go on this tour. It is amazing!

Amazing! Sean was so knowledgeable about the area, brought great bikes, was helpful and concerned with our safety and comfort levels, the whole package. Have done many biking tours in different cities and this is up there with the best of them. Highly recommend, thank you Sean!

What a great bike tour, Shawn was great and very informative. He was also very thoughtful with my mother who hasn't ridden a bike in a very long time. I would really Recommend this tour.

I found it surprisingly fun and enjoyable to ride around town in the trolley, just kicking back and enjoying how beautiful and special Boise truly is. Even if you've called Boise home for a long time, I recommend taking a moment to enjoy the city through a trolley tour.

I bought our tickets online. $20 for seniors, $22 for adults. My brother was visiting from out of…read moretown and our daughter also came along. I believe it's supposed to be a two-hour tour. You meet in the parking lot of the Red Lion Downtowner hotel. The woman at the front desk of the hotel cheerfully told us that the Trolley picks up at the front entrance. She was wrong, and I told a few people that drove up what the lady said. One, a man with a cane, then had to walk to the back of hotel after telling me that he was told to meet in the back. I told the driver, a nice ,older, white-haired man, and he made a comment but didn't seem too concerned. Then it started raining, and with the wind blowing, got pretty chilly. We brought jackets, but it was still cold. No one's fault. The driver has a laptop with a program that he plays, with narration that could have been AI generated, and photos. There are screens in front and midway in the seating area. The first part of the seating is covered on the sides with windows, the back part is open on the sides. There were flaps that could have been brought down to keep us warmer. I don't know why the driver didn't think of that. We sat in the very back, as the front was filling with seniors. Most of the tour was OK. There was commentary on historic buildings and parks, as well as 19th century homes. We stopped at the old Boise Train Depot, but it wasn't open today (only Sunday and Monday, I believe). We drove down Harrison Blvd, through Hyde Park, and past the Capitol building and Boise State University. When the tour was almost over, the driver seemed to be having trouble with his program. He pulled over to the side of the road and we all sat for at least 5, maybe 10 minutes, while he fiddled with his laptop. Finally, he gave up and everyone cheered. For the last 15 minutes, he narrated while we drove, which I'm told was good stuff, but his mic did not have enough volume for me to hear. So, I missed out on that. The tour ended up being about 2.5 hours, longer than I'd like on a chilly day. On top of the cost of the tickets, over $12 was added in "fees and taxes". For that kind of money, a witty, funny, and knowledgable guide should be doing the tour, entertaining the customers. I don't think that I would bring any more out of town guests on this tour.

I'll start by saying that you really can't beat the price for this tour. Any other type of tour in…read morethis city is likely going to cost you at least twice as much, so if you're looking to just get a quick look at parts of downtown on a dime, this is the tour for you. As mentioned, this is meant to be a fairly quick (1.5 hours) walking tour of part of downtown Boise to just get a brief sense of the city's history and culture. Our tour guide focused a lot of time and information on the Basque region and culture, and the rest of the time on some of the architecture and brief history of how the certain buildings came to be. The first half or so of the tour was very engaging and I definitely learned some interesting facts. But during the last half of the tour, I found my attention wandering off more than a few times as the guide shared stories that in my opinion ate up too much time, and weren't always related to Boise, which was a bit confusing. Don't get me wrong, it was an extremely friendly, upbeat, and clearly knowledgeable tour guide--I just would have liked learn a broader sense of Boise's downtown history rather than focusing in on facts and stories that don't necessarily help you appreciate the city. But with our guide we also got access to areas you might not otherwise see if you're only in town briefly, like a special Basque sports club and the Egyptian Theater. He also shared lots of valuable opinions on other places to go and things to experience. Overall, you can't beat the price, it's a leisurely walking tour, and you might learn some interesting history (perhaps more than you even care to learn!). It'd be a great tour for those who are unsure of what to do or where to go, and regardless, downtown Boise is a beautiful and entertaining area that you'll enjoy experiencing on foot.
