This is a six star ride. Wow was it fun and informative! I called last minute and Sean set me up in his tour group. What an awesome and inexpensive way to spend 3-4 hours. You'll learn about the city, get some good exercise, and see some incredible scenery. Sean knows everything about the region and its inhabitants. I never knew what a Basque was until last Saturday. And who knew that every yahoo on the planet, even its own beer guzzling citizens, mispronounce Boise? It should be pronounced "Bwahz." The word is derived from a French trapper/guide who gazed over the verdant valley and blinding blue smurf turf (actually the smurf turf probably wasn't there yet) and proclaimed "Les Bois! Les Bois!" ("The Woods! The Woods!"). Just go on this tour. It is amazing! read more

The tour was easily organized through Melinda and you can reserve a Boise Green Bike through her. She walks you through downloading the app and getting everything squared away. They have different tours in different neighborhoods and it's a super easy ride. The organizers are super nice and have a lot of really cool knowledge about the city! read more

The Boise Bicycle Tour was the highlight of our trip to Idaho! Our family had a blast on the greenbelt tour. Even though we had already visited downtown, Shawn was nice enough to share some interesting facts about the downtown area we had missed. The Boise greenbelt was absolutely breathtaking. Shawn is the BEST tour guide we have ever had. We've already told all of our friends and family, and even some friends from the local area, that the bicycle tour is a MUST for anyone visiting Boise. The tour is fun, interesting and engaging for all ages. It may be a little strenuous for seniors or if you're really out of shape, but it sounds like they are investing in some new bikes that will accommodate those who are unable to pedal for themselves; So, no one will have to miss out! I had the pleasure of taking a tour of beautiful Boise with Shawn yesterday afternoon. We did a customized ride that included the greenbelt and some of downtown. I am tall and he provided me with a well fitted and comfortable bike! He offered water bottles and the bike had a zippered pouch for your valuables. I have lived in Boise for 11 years now and learned so much new and interesting information. Shawn delivered it in a way that was both informative and showed his love of our wonderful city. Anyone could take this tour, regardless of how much or little you ride bikes! We took a tour of the greenbelt yesterday with Shawn since we had family visiting. Despite us living here, Shawn had tons of historical information, facts, and little hidden gems to share with us -- we didn't even know about most of them! The bikes were incredibly well maintained and comfortable, and he had a kid-carrier trailer that was top of the line, comfortable to pull, and easy to maneuver. He really went above and beyond to make our trip fun and enjoyable, and he kept a nice easy pace that all of us could maintain throughout the trip. Took a tour with Shawn, the owner of Boise Bicycle Tours, last weekend. This was such a great tour for many reasons. He is flexible and willing to adapt the tour based on participant's request. Starting and ending at beautiful Ann Morrison Park, this 2-hour tour was interesting, entertaining and informative. Shawn clearly has an in-depth knowledge of the history and heart of Boise. You see the city the perspective of the town founders and modern residents. History, anecdotes and little-known facts are presented in a way that feels as though you are experiencing the history during your ride. Shawn imparts humor into this ride, which enhances the experience. I recommend this tour for visitors and residents alike. Bet that you will learn something new! Next time I will try one of BBT's other tours such as the Greenbelt ride. Highly recommend this if you have a few hours to spare when in Boise! read more
