There was no wait time when I came in, got seated right away but sat there in silence for 30 minutes before someone gave me a cup of water. The workers all stood around and chit chated with each others instead of greeting us or allowing us to order. Three parties came after us, yet were able to order before us. They seem to prioritize "friends" of the employees I asked for an extra bowl, and they didnt bring it out til I almost finished my meal. The food are not tasty. Unbelievable, since I didn't eat beef, I ordered seafood soup . I came here with a friend for an off hour meal. We came around 3:30pm so it was pretty empty and we got seated immediately. If you show up before 3pm, you can get a tea with your BP (lunch special deal!) Sadly, we missed out on that. I got the Seafood and Tofu Hot Soup and my friend got the Beef Hot Soup. Both our orders came out relatively quickly. The service here was ok, the people weren't very informative and I just felt like they didn't pay much attention to us. They also took a while to get the bill and process, etc (usually not something I complain about, but we were literally one of two parties in the place). I am not a huge hot pot person, but I did enjoy the taste of the broth and the variety of items in the soup. Today we had beef hot pots. The bowls come with plenty of vegetables and lots of beef. The service is good and professional. The wait was normal between 15-20 minutes, so not bad at all. One thing to remember is to bring a jacket or sweater because the inside of the restaurant is kept at around 65 degrees. The amount was amazingly small. 2 PCs of beef slice, a pc of tofu, a pc of fish cake, a pc of everything and looooots of cabbage. Soup was super salty...I was like "woot, salt soup"? BP was literally one of my fave chains on the west coast but unfortunately I have to agree with a lot of the recent reviews that the quality overall has gone down significantly. First off, we got there at 2:30 on a Tuesday and the total wait was about an hour (also seemed like they move slowly). After we ordered our food, we didn't receive the water we ordered until after the food came. We also had to keep asking for the side of vermicelli. As far as the food, it still tasted like the comforting BP I know and love. I ordered the spicy house special which was yummy but 1. Was not spicy AT ALL. Mild at best. 2. Definitely skimping out on ingredients - only got HALF of a meat ball and a few slices of pork. I will say that I appreciate the entire serving of instant noodle that they ordered as an add-on. I ordered the house special and my gf ordered the miso. I actually liked the miso broth compared to the house special. The house special had an herb flavor to it, which wasn't bad just wasn't to my liking. I did enjoy the pork blood though, which was what sold me to getting it in the first place. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE: This bad review is in regards to the glitchy website that charged our credit card, but did not process the order. After I entered my cc info and pressed "order", the page never reloaded to a confirmation page nor did I ever receive an email or text saying that my order was complete. HOWEVER... I saw a charge on my credit card bill already (HAH). When my husband got to the store, they told him they did not receive the order and that we would have to reorder AND PAY (even with showing our credit card charge). They need to take down that website ASAP or answer their phones (I understand it might be due to being short staffed). I want to write meaner things in this review but I know it is my hangriness talking so this is the end of my rant. As far as the food goes, my husband and I always love it here. Food is great here. Well I'm biased I always get the beef soup, so I suggest that one for sure! I love the ingredients and broth here. I also love their side sauces that you can add to it as well. I think they're very complimentary with the soup. Service is pretty good for the most part honestly, sometimes when there are new trainees it's a bit messy but for the most part it's pretty consistent. Ambiance is great but not too good for groups larger than like 6. I think they can accommodate for more it's just space wise it can get tight. It's the best Taiwanese hotpot restaurant! I've tried other places like tasty pot and boiling point always tastes SO MUCH BETTER. I always get the beef hotpot in either mild or medium. Probably wouldn't recommend anything else but the beef hotpot is definitely a 5 stars. It's so good and I crave it all the time. I also love their dipping sauces, it's really flavorful and so addicting. I noticed that they no longer give the sweet basil seed drink at the end after you pay though. They used to do that in the past but not sure why they stopped. Service is ok it's never great here but I just come here to eat the beef hotpot and leave so it's not a big deal. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I've been here several times in the past month and will definitely be coming back! The food is extremely fresh, HOT, and stays hot as the fire is on beneath. Order the hot pot flavor you like and within ten minutes you're ready to feast! The pots are decently sized, if you're starving you'll probably finish the whole thing, otherwise not sure if you can take to go. They have a set side of sauces and you can add add-ons for pretty cheap if you want. Everything cooks really quick since the fire is on full blast. The servers always asked me if I wanted to turn off my fire on time and never once forgot despite having a million tables to look after. It's a SUPER busy place, I've waited at least 30 minutes - 1 hour for a table on a weekday around 6/7pm. The easy way to do it is to download their app and check the waiting time. But it changes pretty quick so if you see a few ahead of you, better get there and put your name down. Be prepared to wait in the cold or in your car as they don't let people wait inside. It's an awfully small joint with rapid turnover of tables so no chit chatting once you've finished eating. But the quality is top notch and service is excellent as well. The food was delicious! Got Beef Soup with Mild spice (it was still very spicy for me) but it was still soo good! Very flavorful , they give you complimentary either rice or noodles of your choice. The rice was good but got cold before my soup got here. What I ended up loving was the sweet milk with boba. It had alot of boba and the perfect sweetness! Customer service is okay , I asked one of the employees that our grill was never turned on and if she can turn it on and I felt like a bother because she threw all the utensils she was carrying so loud. Me and my friend ordered spicy beef pot and curry milk pot , hers tasted like something stinky and mine tasted like dusty just like they never washed their veggies or something fell on the ground and they just put it back without washing. The curry taste horrible! I couldn't eat it and as soon as I got home I threw up. So did my friend. As chino hills resident I feel so embarrassed that we have such a horrible hotpot place. I haven't been to Boiling Point for over ten years, when I used to frequent the one in Hacienda Heights. Dropped by here one night since it was cold and hot pot sounded good, but didn't want AYCE hot pot. Overall, it was a good meal. I got the beef hot pot. I was pretty happy with the amount and variety of items in the hot pot. The soup was flavorful, although I do wish it was a bit more spicy. The hot pot comes with a bowl of rice or some rice noodles. If you eat a lot, get the bowl of rice since it's more filling than the small amount of rice noodles they give you. Plus rice is the perfect thing to absorb all that soup. We started with the cold meat platter which was a trio of braised beef with a spicy oil. It was okay, although seemed a really small portion for $6. I also wish it had pig ear as that's one of the essential cold dishes I always get. The price point is okay, although for me it felt expensive because I was used to Boiling Point being around $7.99-$9.99. I guess in ten years, they have become a somewhat large chain and it's hard to even get fast food for under $7-8 these days. Why not five stars? The broth. I wish the broth was more complex and had more flavor. The sauce choices are also minimal so can't even really make yourself a really nice sauce to dip things in. read more

Boiling Point is ubiquitous for mini hot pots! There's always a wait for every Boiling Point location that I have been to. We ordered takeout from this location a few times. For their lunch menu, they offer a complimentary tea. The food is definitely better when you dine in, and it's piping hot, but we did takeout since we needed to bring it back to my boyfriend's family. It still gets the job done!
