This turned out to be a great roadside stop. We were there at about noon and the place was almost vacant, but as we were leaving at about 1:30 the place was really starting to fill up with families and boaters (there's a boat ramp). When my girls wanted to swim, we quickly realized that the swim area lake bottom was ROCKY. We live in Hawaii and we are lucky enough to have sandy beaches EVERYWHERE. This didn't deter by daughters in the least, but it did manage to slow their advance into the water significantly. Sadly, I did reduce it a star for this, since Yelps are about personal experiences. But if a rocky bottom shredding your feet isn't an issue for you ... then it's a 5. The water was a bit murky where you entered, but cleared up nicely as you went further out. The water was also refreshingly cold - perfect for a hot day. There was also a little pier for diving and jumping.

There isn't much of a beach, unlike other places on the lake, but great to take a boat from. Nearby islands and Polson close by too. Montana state license plate gets you in free for day use. Overnight is $24/night and they are often full. Best bet is to reserve online. Campground will be undergoing remodeling soon, which will be nice. The best option is tent camping in my opinion, because the RV sites are much too close together. The bathrooms have a serious smell problem. Great for families and long term or short term camping. Wild animals frequent area, so be bear aware. I've seen two just in the campground.
