During our stay in Polson, it was a must that we went white water rafting and after reading the reviews for Flathead, we knew we would be in safe hands and our experience was so fun! We booked months in advance and due to the fact that we went in September, we had no issues as it is the low season. If you are planning to go in June/July, I suggest you book as early as possible as that is the high season and from what we were told the best time to go if you want a 4-5 level experience. We met at the location 30 minutes in advance and chilled and laughed with the owner and the crew. They have a cooler, so bring ice and drinks to take on the raft. They do not have wet suits, but they do have rain jackets if you want additional coverage. Also, helmets are optional. I also suggest that you wear an inexpensive pair of sunglasses. Once we loaded up, we drove to the location and walked a small path to the boat. Once you arrive at the boat, they go over instructions. I suggest you pay attention in the event you go overboard. We did not have an issue, however, depending on the time of year, the water can be a bit treacherous. I have been white water rafting in Costa Rica and it was the highest level and no one went overboard. Our guides Bruce and Jack were awesome and very personable. read more

We came here as a group of 10 for a work event. I've been rafting numerous times across the world (Tennessee, California, Costa Rica), and I have to say that these guides (we had Cliff and Brandon) and company were the most professional and competent guides I've ever had on a rafting trip, and others in my group felt similarly. You could tell they knew their stuff and not just how to paddle down the river, but really read whitewater - at one point on our trip the river dam released more water, and our guide was able to change his plans and adjust course mid-tour to account for the change in the rapids. We had a few anxious folks on the trip and afterwards they remarked how safe they felt. Also, the water was still pretty frigid when we went, and they have wetsuits and such to borrow to protect you when you go out. Really nice touch and helped our experience a lot. Overall I would 10/10 recommend this company and would absolutely do it again the next time I'm back in this area. Thank you guys for making it a great experience! read more

We had a great trip. They were very experienced and were focused on us having a fun, safe, exciting rafting experience.

We have mixed reviews about our experience. I would not recommend for young children or seniors. All reviews said family friendly, but the hike to the boat launch is not easy and once we were on the river we were told there was a 50/50 chance of getting flipped. We did get flipped and it was very scary. We had fun up until that point. Wish we had been more forewarned about the level of difficulty. read more

My family and I did our first Whitewater adventure here a few weeks ago in our first ever visit to Montana. Let me start with the obvious, the ride, the scenery, the water, it was all absolutely beautiful. An unbelievable experience on its own. What makes this 5 stars (I would have given it a hundred if that was possible) was the level of care, professionalism and customer service that the entire operation showed to every one of my family members for the duration of our time there. They are the nicest people who shared amazing stories, history and laughs with all of us. They were so great with my daughter when she got a little scared and were in tune with and accommodating to all of us on the raft. Just an absolutely incredible bunch of people. If you're considering rafting here, don't go with anyone else, these guys are exactly what you're looking for! Super easy rafting, could do this for all ages. Our guide was nice and basically controlled the boat the whole time.

My husband, sister, brother in law and I all came here for the morning 10 am raft adventure. It was a blast! Brett was our guide and he did such a great job explaining what we need to do, as well as the history and facts of the area around us. Everyone who works here was so upbeat and truly love their jobs. They all made the experience so much more exciting and fun. It was a cold day and rained a little, but it was still all so worth it. The three main rapids we descended will definitely get your adrenaline and blood pumping. These rapids were categories 2-4, however Brett told us they can change due to the level of the water. The very last one we went on was the most intense (category 4) and we did end up flipping. However, it does seem like flipping is more of a rare occurrence. It was a bit startling when we flipped, but it ended up making our trip that much more memorable and exciting. There were no big rocks to hit when we flipped, and the water was pretty deep so we were all able to get back on the boat okay. We also got amazing pictures of us flipping from the photographer on staff. We paid a bit to get all the pictures, but it was so worth it to have all those memories forever to look back on. read more

Went with family ranging in age from 15 to 69 to experience the half day white water rafting adventure with Cliff as our guide. After rafting in West Glacier before we all decided we liked this rafting adventure better. Not only did Cliff (a native Montanan) have a lot of knowledge of the river, the rapids and the area, the rapids themselves gave us all a good run for our money as the water levels are very high. Everyone stayed in the raft thanks to Cliff and his knowledge of the river. We were also treated to a Golden Eagle, a pair of Bald Eagles and deer along the way. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the river and ok to work a little to get through it. Definitely worth the drive to get there. OK. I had to think about how to review this trip for a couple of days. To say it was memorable would be an understatement. I don't think our family will stop talking about this one for years to come. This was our first time rafting and a few of us were a little nervous about it. We were put at ease right away on the bus ride to the river and given lots of info about what to expect and how to handle it. Did we capsize in the Buffalo rapids? Yes. Yes, we did. Did we also go back and buy ALL of the merch and talk about the whole day for the rest of our time in Montana? Oh yes. Yes, we sure did. As a bonafide coward, I can tell you that I would not have missed this for anything. Besides, if we didn't go, we'd have missed the stand-up comedy show on the bus ride back to town. 10/10 recommend. read more

We were here in the flathead lake area for a family reunion. This was my first time rafting and it was amazing! Carson was our guide and he was hilarious! We had a really good time with our guide Tovi! This was our second time rafting but this time we were rowing on the "big blue" which is a smaller raft that fits up to eight people. The scenery down the river is beautiful and Tovi was knowledgeable about the river and its surroundings. We saw two Bald Eagles which were awesome. The first couple of rapids are small and you get a little wet however the last rapid, the buffalo, is larger and there's a chance you can flip over-but not always. We ended up flipping over and got some funny pictures of it. Although we flipped (which was actually fun) I felt safe with Tovi and the others as they were experienced and informative about what to do and how to wear the life vests. And because of the safety aspect of the whole thing I think the cost is very reasonable. We also liked the fact that it's a family owned business. Hopefully we'll be back next summer to raft again! read more
