We booked an 8 person half day fishing trip with Chris. The boat is perfect since there are tables to have some food or play uno, it's nice the boat has a shaded area as well! We ended up reeling in fish, sixteen in fact! About seven got away but everyone got two! Chris's boss, Mike called and left me a message because Chris butt dialed him about six times and was way too busy helping us reel fish to answer the phone! Haha! So fun! Highly recommend!

This was a surreal experience. Being on this amazing lake with a gorgeous view, was something for the books. Then add a top notch fishing experience to it, and you have an unforgettable memory. Cameron, our guide, was hard working, professional, and easy going. He made sure we caught fish and had fun while doing it. We caught 9 lake trout, all different sizes, and had great music and laughs the entire time. We kept 3 fish that were fileted and washed for us to take home. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Cameron is highly recommended.

Just had an awesome charter experience with Chris from Howe's Fishing. Caught some huge lake trout from the cleanest charter boat I've been on, super well maintained and plenty of high quality sponsored gear. This is the real deal. Most of all Chris couldn't have been nicer and was awesome with our 10 and 8 year old passengers.

Our guide Chris was fabulous!! We did Ice Fishing for a half day. Absolutely fabulous time and Chris made sure everyone in our party was catching fish. We kept enough to have a meal. We had the best time. We plan to come back in the summer and do a charter with this company.

We had the best day aboard Cameron's boat. The experience was all around amazing. We caught several fish, as well as spent great time as a family. Cameron was excellent all around. What a day on Flathead lake. I released 10 fish and also kept 10. The top picture is a Bull Trout. A native species of Flathead Lake the fish must be returned to its waters. Which was accomplished after reviving the fish by rushing water through its gills. I doubt that I will ever experience a day of fishing like this again in my life. This was my 6th trip with Howe's fishing. I have never caught less then three fish. In fact Captain Cameron and I have caught 8, 12, 16 and today 20 fish on our last 4 trips. Howe's might be a little more expensive then other charter companies in the Flathead Valle. They have the best captains, fishing gear, boats then ANYONE else. "Don't step over a dollar to pick up a quarter", the same goes to fishing. Trust me, pictures do not lie. read more

Capt Ross may be the hardest working and funnest Capt I have ever chartered with. 2-4' swells, crazy winds, light rain, and we still slayed fish!! Went home with two gallon ziploc bags stuffed with fillets on only a 4hr charter. The boats were great for cover out of the bad weather; even a heater on board. Would do it again anytime. read more

My review is a year old, but I guess it's never too late. Ross from Howe's Fishing took us out on Flathead lake for some summer guided fishing and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! It was me, my 13yo son, my husband, and his mom (who's nervous on boats). She thought she'd just come along for the ride but saw how fun and easy Ross was making our experience that she decided to join in. After a plentiful haul, Ross prepared and cleaned up our fish so we didn't have to. During the trip, Ross threw in some fun facts and historical features of the lake that added such a nice touch to the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Ross and look forward to booking with him again! read more

You have to book a trip with these guys and ask for Captain Ross! We talked with April to book our charter and she was superior to everyone we called. Captain Ross didn't guarantee us catching fish, but it was no accident that we caught 12 fish on a half day charter including a 26 pounder, a 24 pounder, and a 16 pounder. We also got a half dozen between 7 pounds and 11 lbs. Captain Ross knew every rock in every cove and worked not only to get us the big guys but also worked the rocks to get us a couple for dinner. Amazing attitude, incredible knowledge of fishing and flathead, top quality equipment, and non-stop fun! We have fished all over the world and if you book with someone else for Flathead then Good Luck! read more

Fishing and catching are different!! We went out with Cameron and he got us into some whitefish within 5 minutes of leaving the dock! We had a great time and caught a bunch of fish. Next time we are in town we will definitely be using this company again. And we will wait to get Cameron if we have too! read more

Booked a twilight fish for my 12 year old son and I. Spent 2 hours on the lake and didn't catch a thing. Ended up taking an expensive boat ride. My son was disappointed more than I was. The guide was friendly and seemed to be trying. I wish he would have tried something else or another location after not catching anything after the first hour. We weren't picky, I just wanted my son to catch one fish. read more

Had a great time on a half day, morning charter with our guide Cameron. Super clean, well maintained, comfortable and well stocked boat with plenty of room. We concentrated on lake trout and Cameron had us in them almost immediately. Loved that we could start fishing just five minutes off the dock. Can't say enough good things about our guide Cameron, super friendly and knowledgeable and a native local who knows how to fish Flathead. read more

We called for a ride to wild horse island. Mike was so nice and hospitable. Showed us landmarks along the way. Gave us advice had refreshments available If we needed. On the way back we saw two deer swimming island to island, stopped and let us take photos. What an awesome day. Thanks Mike! read more

This is the BEST fishing charter on Flathead Lake. They have the COOLEST captains and they are so fun and informative. Mike took me out on the boat and I caught a huge lake trout on our first try! Everyone on the boat was catching fish the whole time. Not to mention the snacks were delicious, the fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning were phenomenal. Mike is not satisfied unless everyone is catching fish and having a good time on the water. I will definitely be going back for another charter this summer. We arrived early to the docks and Cameron was already setup and ready to take us out. We were out fishing in a matter of minutes and had the first fish in the boat about 5 minutes in. The boat is amazing, perfectly setup for this lake. The boat was also Very comfortable and able to accommodate plenty of fisherman. Cameron was very knowledgeable, friendly and knew how to fish this lake. We caught some good fish and had a great time. Will be back again! Highly recommended! read more

Honesty I am brand new to the fly fishing world and I was a little intimidated going into it, and on top of that to bring my 10 year old son with me kinda upped my nervousness. However, Matt put us at ease right away. He was a phenomenal instructor/ encourager/ and had tons of patience especially when my son got snagged 3x in about a five minute span. He never once seemed irritated with my son or with me. Always encouraging. The scenery on the swan was amazing, bald eagles, elk running through the river, beautiful mountains in the back drop. The float down the river was also so special. We live in such a fast paced world it was amazing to simply float down a river, no cell service, no rush, and enjoy. It was so refreshing to our souls. We also did catch fish, I know our guide was a little bummed fish were not cooperating as much as they normally do. We didn't land any hogs like he often does, but thats ok. I did hook up on one slob I promise I did! But of course I didn't land it!
