I cannot say enough kind things about each of the instructors. They were attentive and educated, and worked with me throughout my journey. The instructors were able to provide modifications as needed, and helped me adapt my workouts as I worked to regain my strength and mobility. You can tell they truly care about each of the members that walk into their studio and are committed to providing everyone an individualized experience, even in a group class setting. I am relocating out of town, and will miss this studio terribly. I cannot recommend CP-Amity enough to anyone looking to have a great workout alongside a sense of community and belonging.

I booked an intro class to get a feel for the staff and studio. The staff, specifically Ellie, are so kind, helpful, and energetic and bring such good vibes. I ended up purchasing a 4-class pack to utilize while I'm in town for the next month. So far, the instructors are wonderful and bring great workouts for their members. I will say that it is somewhat hard to book classes unless you are booking a week or 2 out, which says a lot. I'm sure their members enjoy coming here to get their daily movement. 10/10 recommend!

They help everyone as they walk up and down to make sure you're in the correct positions and check-in to make sure you're still alive! They make it fun! There are mostly women that attend but a few men as well, from time to time. There are women of all ages and sizes! It's all at your own personal pace and it's not a race! The tv monitors tell you what to do next and for how long, and toward the end, there is a count down on the screen. And yes, I'm always watching that count down to get it over with! I feel as though it's now a community of supportive women! They all chat and have made connections even outside of SP! It's really nice to see! Dallyn and Pam are my usual instructors based on my schedule and they're amazing! I have neuropathy and fused bones in my feet that limit me to some exercises and they already know what exercise to do in its place for my safety and benefit of the workout! Even when the class is at max capacity, they're there to help guide and motivate! I love the times of the classes too, as I feel they're thoughtful for those that want to workout before work, at lunch break, after work or even after the kids have eaten and gone to bed! Sometimes I'm the only one in a 6:15PM class and sometimes it's full. You just never know! Either way, it's motivating and a QUICK 45min non-stop workout on the reformers. There is an app where you can purchase class passes and book classes or easily cancel 24hrs in advance to not lose the class pass. The app is nice and easy and has never glitched! I pay about $240 for a 10 class pass and you do have to use them within 3-months. My goal is mainly to go once a week, but I do travel a lot and have missed a month between classes but this has been good for me to get out of my little apartment and do something for myself! And that makes me smile! If you're thinking about it or think you can't do it, trust me, YOU CAN! If I can, so can you!

Traditional gym settings just don't work for me anymore and I had a hard time going consistently. Lynsie made me feel so welcome. I did not feel pressured to sign up for anything. I decided to try the minimum monthly membership and became absolutely hooked. The atmosphere at Pure Barre is a very welcoming and also feels like an individualized space which is another reason why I gravitate towards it. This is a space where you can come alone but feel a group energy all around without any pressure to show up in any way that is not what you're comfortable with. I love how there's women of all ages, builds, and skill levels at each class. If you're thinking of trying the intro class, this is your sign!

One of the best features is Grasshoppers' 10 for 10 class. It is a 30 minute classical Pilates class from 12:15-12:45 Wed.-Fri. It's easy to get a great workout during the lunch hour. And if you think 30 minutes is too short for a class, you should give it a try. I've been going for a couple months and I've noticed a huge difference in my strength and flexibility. Grasshoppers is a beautifully furnished, state of the art studio in Hyde Park with all the bells and whistles but also with a small, intimate feel.

They give you a heart rate monitor to use to track the progress during the class. It is $89 to purchase if you decide to sign up. Class was fun. Good modern music. Pretty loud which I didn't mind. I liked the bathrooms, but don't think 2 is enough for the class size. I liked the post workout showers, but again 2 is not enough. I don't think the day use lockers are large enough if you do plan on bringing stuff to shower. Sales pitch at the end of the class. I didn't sign up. Yet at least. Although they take all of your information (including credit card information) and I got a call to make sure I was coming earlier in the day. I think they will continue to follow up to get me to sign up. Also, I liked that you get an email with your workout summary at the end of the class. Pricing (as of 05/16/2018) $99 for 8 classes/month. $59 for 4 classes/month. $159 for unlimited classes. Pricing is $89 for 8 classes a month and $149 for unlimited classes if you are a St. Luke's Medical Center employee. Make sure you get that discount. Class times can be limiting for some so check the schedule before signing up. There aren't any from 12-4pm I believe during the week. And none after 12pm on the weekends. I have taken classes at many other studios in the area (Radiant Hot Yoga, RA Yoga, etc.), and this was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken! The studio is beautiful and so clean. Beautiful big windows overlook PCH and the ocean skies. (It's right above Summer House for those of you trying to find it!) the studio is brand new and you can tell that Christina poured her heart and soul into the space. One of my favorite parts about class was that Christina played good music!! She played popular slower songs rather than typical weird yoga music... you know what I'm talking about! The class was challenging but fun and relaxing at the same time. All in all, I had an awesome experience here and I will definitely be back!

Christina is an excellent yoga instructor who is very passionate behind each yoga practice she teaches. What I love about her is how she elaborately guides her students by walking you through each movement. This allows you to quickly comprehend and follow the flow with ease. Whether you're a beginner in yoga, intermediate or above, Christina will guide you to modify your poses to best fit your body's needs. The studio is located above Summer House and parking is pretty easy to find. I usually just park in the neighborhood by the studio. There's also a juice bar located near the studio which is another nice perk if you're looking for a great cleanse after the morning yoga class. If you're looking for a new yoga studio, I highly recommend this place. :)
