The instructors were able to provide modifications as needed, and helped me adapt my workouts as I worked to regain my strength and mobility. Before working with a coach, I had done a lot of group classes and worked out independently. However, working 1:1 with someone who is super knowledgeable and encouraging has been a game changer in my consistency and motivation. Rachel is a badass powerlifter and kind human so she makes twice weekly workouts, dare I say, enjoyable! I love the flexibility that Volition gives to work with a trainer but also to workout independently. Rachel's programming for these independent days is clear and makes it easy stick to my goals. This has helped me to get comfortable training on my own. The gym is always clean, people are welcoming, there is plenty of equipment and it makes it easy to get an early workout done effectively and efficiently. They help everyone as they walk up and down to make sure you're in the correct positions and check-in to make sure you're still alive! They make it fun! There are mostly women that attend but a few men as well, from time to time. There are women of all ages and sizes! It's all at your own personal pace and it's not a race! The tv monitors tell you what to do next and for how long, and toward the end, there is a count down on the screen. And yes, I'm always watching that count down to get it over with! I feel as though it's now a community of supportive women! They all chat and have made connections even outside of SP! It's really nice to see! Dallyn and Pam are my usual instructors based on my schedule and they're amazing! I have neuropathy and fused bones in my feet that limit me to some exercises and they already know what exercise to do in its place for my safety and benefit of the workout! Even when the class is at max capacity, they're there to help guide and motivate! I love the times of the classes too, as I feel they're thoughtful for those that want to workout before work, at lunch break, after work or even after the kids have eaten and gone to bed! Sometimes I'm the only one in a 6:15PM class and sometimes it's full. You just never know! Either way, it's motivating and a QUICK 45min non-stop workout on the reformers. There is an app where you can purchase class passes and book classes or easily cancel 24hrs in advance to not lose the class pass. The app is nice and easy and has never glitched! I pay about $240 for a 10 class pass and you do have to use them within 3-months. My goal is mainly to go once a week, but I do travel a lot and have missed a month between classes but this has been good for me to get out of my little apartment and do something for myself! And that makes me smile! If you're thinking about it or think you can't do it, trust me, YOU CAN! If I can, so can you!

For some time I thought following the right people on Instagram was the answer to saving tons of money on weight loss programs and fitness trainers. Turns out, I may not have wasted a ton of money but I surely wasted a ton of my time! I got fed up with constantly fluctuating and binge eating, I gave Joanne a visit after doing some research & it's been the most gratifying experience ever! She is knowledgeable about nutrition & fitness! Her ability to teach is very special, I don't always grasp concepts easy or process information quickly but Joanne was able to deliver all of the information I would need to not only reach but sustain my weight loss goals. Most people have all these crazy theories about what it takes to lose fat and build muscle but Joanne has factual information on the physiology & anatomy of the body. She is brilliant and somehow simplifies such complex information. Due to my results, all of my peers come to me now for ways to lose weight lol!
