They help everyone as they walk up and down to make sure you're in the correct positions and check-in to make sure you're still alive! They make it fun! There are mostly women that attend but a few men as well, from time to time. There are women of all ages and sizes! It's all at your own personal pace and it's not a race! The tv monitors tell you what to do next and for how long, and toward the end, there is a count down on the screen. And yes, I'm always watching that count down to get it over with! I feel as though it's now a community of supportive women! They all chat and have made connections even outside of SP! It's really nice to see! Dallyn and Pam are my usual instructors based on my schedule and they're amazing! I have neuropathy and fused bones in my feet that limit me to some exercises and they already know what exercise to do in its place for my safety and benefit of the workout! Even when the class is at max capacity, they're there to help guide and motivate! I love the times of the classes too, as I feel they're thoughtful for those that want to workout before work, at lunch break, after work or even after the kids have eaten and gone to bed! Sometimes I'm the only one in a 6:15PM class and sometimes it's full. You just never know! Either way, it's motivating and a QUICK 45min non-stop workout on the reformers. There is an app where you can purchase class passes and book classes or easily cancel 24hrs in advance to not lose the class pass. The app is nice and easy and has never glitched! I pay about $240 for a 10 class pass and you do have to use them within 3-months. My goal is mainly to go once a week, but I do travel a lot and have missed a month between classes but this has been good for me to get out of my little apartment and do something for myself! And that makes me smile! If you're thinking about it or think you can't do it, trust me, YOU CAN! If I can, so can you!

I am currently traveling to Boise from California for work. I do pilates at home and wanted to…read morecontinue my routine while traveling so I looked up some local places and found this one. I booked an intro class to get a feel for the staff and studio. The staff, specifically Ellie, are so kind, helpful, and energetic and bring such good vibes. I ended up purchasing a 4-class pack to utilize while I'm in town for the next month. So far, the instructors are wonderful and bring great workouts for their members. I will say that it is somewhat hard to book classes unless you are booking a week or 2 out, which says a lot. I'm sure their members enjoy coming here to get their daily movement. 10/10 recommend!

There really isn't anything I can say that will truly express how amazing Chris is but I can…read moredefinitely try! I've been working with him for about a year or so now and he's beyond anything I could have asked for in a trainer. He's motivating, he's incredibly knowledgable, he always offers up suggestions for ways to improve in multiple facets of my life. He was supportive and pushed me just the right amount when I went through the loss of my father and many other significant life events. He's a trainer and therapist for the price of one. He cares about his clients and puts a lot of time and effort into making each workout personalized, challenging and different. He is always adjusting workouts to suit my needs. When I first started seeing him, knee pain was an every-day thing. Over the last year, my knee pain has slowly diminished to the point it rarely flares up. Every workout he takes me through is in an effort to not only make me stronger and healthier but to remedy the source of any pain. There have been many times I've gone in for a workout in pain and left relieved. He is by far one of the most intelligent and knowledgable individuals I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. Not only does he describe what you're doing and why, he's often willing to go into depth about the mechanics and physiology of the workouts and why they're proven to work. I highly recommend Chris for just about anyone. Whether you're looking to lose weight, improve your overall health, work on mobility or if you're looking into body building, Volition Fitness is the best place to go.

One of the best features is Grasshoppers' 10 for 10 class. It is a 30 minute classical Pilates class from 12:15-12:45 Wed.-Fri. It's easy to get a great workout during the lunch hour. And if you think 30 minutes is too short for a class, you should give it a try. I've been going for a couple months and I've noticed a huge difference in my strength and flexibility. Grasshoppers is a beautifully furnished, state of the art studio in Hyde Park with all the bells and whistles but also with a small, intimate feel.

I have taken classes at many other studios in the area (Radiant Hot Yoga, RA Yoga, etc.), and this was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken! The studio is beautiful and so clean. Beautiful big windows overlook PCH and the ocean skies. (It's right above Summer House for those of you trying to find it!) the studio is brand new and you can tell that Christina poured her heart and soul into the space. One of my favorite parts about class was that Christina played good music!! She played popular slower songs rather than typical weird yoga music... you know what I'm talking about! The class was challenging but fun and relaxing at the same time. All in all, I had an awesome experience here and I will definitely be back!

The studio is located above Summer House and parking is pretty easy to find. I usually just park in the neighborhood by the studio.
