Tried the 6-week challenge, and am SO glad I did!…read more My favorite things about FitMania: One, the food... Well, it's just that! It's REAL FOOD! And I bought it at a real grocery store on a real budget! And I used real recipes! And two, the exercises were largely done without equipment, so you were not fighting some unnatural machine at the gym, or needing to find somewhere with giant ropes and huge tires to get your body in shape! Eating healthy foods and getting your body moving... Who'd have thought?? I'm not done in my journey to a healthier lifestyle, but I'm sure thankful for the jump start FitMania gave me, and for the new habits I'm forming! :-) I finished the challenge and decided that I will be continuing with FitMania because it's real and it works!

It was wonderful to be able to get such an awesome and versatile workout completed all from my living room. Every workout hit every muscle group. Also, the sense of community and love at this gym is incomparable. I got so much awesome advice, encouragement, and support. I learned so much, and I'm so glad to have been part of this 6 week challenge!

From the welcome to the tailored to workout warmup to the work out of the day (WOD) they will be with you and thoroughly explain the process and movements. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or training for the games this gym will give you the tools to succeed. Additionally, the members carry with them the "Boise nice" environment that you would expect.

No welcome, no hello from any of the members or the coach. This would've been the perfect time for coach Andy to come up to us and let us know that we must pay a $20 drop in fee EVEN THOUGH the website said 2 day free trial. We would have been perfectly fine with paying- we have paid for drop ins before. Andy chose to walk up to my mom 10 minutes into our warm up in front of the class to discuss this. He was hinting at the fact that we owe $40 but was not clear on this. He said "it's usually a $20 drop in fee each person but you guys are fine. But you're a drop in." It was very confusing. So I walked up to him and asked, so we owe $20 each? He answered in a mocking and condescending way and said, "yeah we all pay to be here. We want paying members, so if you're not planning on joining you need to pay." It was so rude. If he really wanted our money, how about saying, "Yes I apologize for the misunderstanding but that's our policy." At this point it was not about the money, it was about how he treated my mom and I when we were just trying to get a workout in. I told him we were going to head out and he said, "Got it, bye!"

Gym is not crowded, each time I was there , there might have only been 2-3 other people max. Service is friendly and accommodating. We got a weekend pass as out of state visitors. Pro tip: register on a weekday, since weekends may not have a front desk person to assist Recommendations : 1) test out your access after registration. Make sure to test with door locked to avoid possible subsequent issues 2) bathroom stall was out of toilet paper, so hopefully some more can be stocked up. Overall, would definitely return to visit the facility if I'm back in the area. Keep up the great work.

Boise is my hometown and I come back here to visit every year, but I spend so much time jumping between gym looking for the equipment I need depending on what I'm training that day. The moment I walked in and saw the equipment they had to offer, I knew I was home. They have everything you need to take a true holistic approach to fitness. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the welcoming staff and shown around. Unlike most places I've been around here where the front desk employee kinda looks at you weird like they're wondering why you're bothering them with your presence. All in all, Jack City is an uplifting environment with a welcoming community and unparalleled fitness resources that makes me miss it and wish I had a place like this to train at when I'm gone. And plus, they're one of the only place I've ever seen with kettlebells that go over 50 pounds. Thank you for having me, JFC
