I dropped in with my brother who moved back to Boise after some time away. We both have experience with CrossFit and agreed Arbor is the most welcoming CrossFit Box/Gym we have been to. I have been to over 15 CrossFit gyms all over the country while traveling for the military. I appreciated the coach. He was encouraging and helped me focus on form with clear and short instructions. They kept it simple for me to make the adjustments I needed to make. The facility is top notch. Two showers and fantastic restrooms that appear to be recently remodeled. Cleanliness is important for me. I saw a very clean gym with a culture of cleaning up after workouts. I had the pleasure of dropping in here back in early March and had one of the warmest welcomes for a drop in! It was super easy to sign up ahead of time and let them know I was coming, so they were expecting me. The coach did a great job making me feel like part of the group right from the get go. Super thorough warmup, solid strength portion and legit Metcon. The group was really helpful offering spots while we worked on bench press, and helping me locate equipment for the wod. They offer some great scaling options for folks who just want to be active, and harder options for the more competitive CrossFitters. The best part was when the class was all over I was invited to do some "romwod" with classmates in a stretching room. I felt so included at this place and can't wait to visit again! Whenever I swing through the Boise area, I try to drop in for a WOD at Arbor. It's friendly, spacious, with a welcoming crew. The workouts are tough and the athletes are a diverse bunch. I have traveled across the country and dropping into various Crossfit gyms, Arbor Crossfit by far is my favorite. The trainers truly care about each athlete's needs and abilities. When the classes are big extra trainers are on hand to ensure all the students have the necessary instruction and attention. The equipment here is top notch and most importantly the facility is clean. Very clean! Nothing annoys me more more than sweat/blood stains and inches of dust on the floor where I will be working out. There is always a fresh scent of disinfectant on the floor. My friend is a member at Arbor CrossFit so I joined her while I was visiting Boise. They're website was easy to navigate, and I was able to sign the waiver and pay my drop in fee of $15. The trainers were great, offering adjustments and help where I needed it. They also remembered my name and thanked me for coming at the end of class. Such a great place! The owners are wonderful and friendly, and most of the people are nice and welcoming. It's a little intimidating, and some of the people in the advanced class don't seem friendly, but if you're looking to try out crossfit, I highly recommend the 101 class! By far the best crossfit gym in Boise! I love that they offer Kid Check so even moms can get a good workout in. Everyone there is so friendly and wonderful you'll immediately feel welcome. I recently moved here from the East Coast (Crossfit Manayunk) and couldn't be more thrilled. I was going to try out all the local boxes, but just after one interaction with the owners, Maria and Jonathan, I was hooked. The facility was clean and well stocked with anything one could need. There are a ton of classes to choose from. This is great as it makes it harder to come up with excuses not to show up. Maria does a fab job of keeping me accountable and I love it!
