I usually don't stick with a work out for longer than two weeks, yet here I am going on four months!!! I was scared I was going to be judged or that I wasn't "fit" enough to fit in, but ya know what? These people are my motivators and family. Sure I don't like it when a trainer notices I'm not giving it my all, but I do love their encouragement and how proud they make me feel about myself when I do push through and succeed....just like they knew I could. Ashly (not like that--I'm married ), who also happens to be the owner, is fantastic. Her classes are challenging, encouraging, and uplifting all at the same time. I also really enjoyed Katie's Sculpt class. Her music was at a comfortable volume, and her coaching was clear and motivating without her having to yell over the music. As someone who can be sensitive to loud environments, I really appreciated that. Her music selection was on point, and her teaching style kept me motivated from start to finish. I'm looking forward to taking many more classes! I've already completed 5 classes since June 3rd, and they're currently running a fun challenge where the more classes you take, the more chances you have to win. It's a great extra incentive to keep showing up! The studio itself is kept super clean, which I always appreciate. They also have two showers stocked with big fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They even provide hair ties, Q-tips, and plastic bags for your sweaty clothes--because trust me, you will sweat! The only thing you'll need to bring is your own body lotion and face products . And if you're on the fence, their intro offer is only $30 for a week of unlimited classes. Considering a single class is normally $25, it's a no-brainer. Challenge yourself! It's you vs. you. All that to say, I am super duper thankful for places like ClarityFit that create a fun and encouraging environment that makes lifting weights fun! My good friend (who just got married) is a faithful member of this gym, so her coach (Chris) offered to host a private class for the wedding party. Myself, three other bridesmaids, and the bride all came here early on a Sunday morning and got a good sweat in before the big day. Chris started us off with 5 minutes of stretching, followed by a warm up that got our heart rates up, and then led us into a workout rotation that we went through three times. Most of the exercises we did I was familiar with, but there were a few that intimidated me (ahem, power snatches). Chris had us try out each station a few times before starting the clock in order to ensure we had good form. After starting the clock he would come over and kindly correct us if our form was off. At the end of the class I could definitely feel that I had just challenged myself, but didn't feel like I overdid it. I was sore for the next few days, but not in an unreasonable way! Aside from a quality workout and awesome coaching, this gym has the coolest vibe. It's in a garage-type space off Fairview. The doors were open while we worked out, letting in some nice natural light and fresh morning air. The equipment and workout space is also up-to-date and kept nice and tidy. They also have a great stereo system in here and blare music while the class is going - nothing like a little Kanye to motivate you through your final round of box jumps! As far as pricing is concerned, they have a few different monthly packages depending on how often you want to attend classes. It is a kettlebell gym (as you can tell by the name) and I love them as a training tool. Most of the good effects of barbells with little of the risk, and some specific properties that make them fun, effective, exciting and interesting. Jim is a conscientious and intelligent trainer who will make sure you are training properly and safely. In addition the classes are very small so it is like getting personal training for a fraction of the price. I believe Jim also offers Personal Training if you want personalized instruction. The location is convenient near the intersection of 44 and 55 right off of downtown Eagle. Plenty of parking. Space is clean, well organized and has all of the equipment you need to lose weight, gain muscle, improve athletic performance, look good naked, etc. The people are freindly and it is a non-intimidating enviroment that I pleased to be a member of.
