I had a great experience with a facial from Traci W. And yes, I have had them before, in fact in a previous life I got them monthly. So this is a story where things could have gone horribly wrong but ended extremely well. Some where between a last minute booking, a wayward appointment system, and hap in stance. My appointment was verbally booked an hour before opening & later learned never confirmed with the aesthetician. Fortunately for me, Traci arrived an hour early for other reasons on her day off, found me in front of the lock door making phone calls and took me in. Truth be told, after a few phone calls (to make sure I wasn't in the wrong place - ok, I'm a guy, it could happen ;-), the relatively new owners were mortified about the mix up and gave me consideration on the price. I made a reservation and had my credit card charged. Unfortunately, the masseuse walked out the door as I was entering 10 min early (I did not know she was the masseuse ) and speed away in her car. If Von (took my reservation) was as focused on my pending massage (serving customers), as she was on getting my credit card details, I think things would have been great. The bottom line is that they are great at getting your payment details but beyond that they appear too scattered to serve customers beyond charging them. read more

Was visiting Mammoth for my cousin's birthday...and was feeling really achy and stiff overall...coming off of a bad flu. I was on the hunt for a sauna and came across the sauna/Normatec combo with booking a massage. Read up more on the types of massages and the therapists...and decided it would be most beneficial to get the whole package. The sauna was incredible. Plenty of space and you have a room all to yourself. It gets hot ...upwards of 140 deg. Really nice to do some light stretches and meditate in here. The Normatec came after my massage. Another great opportunity to meditate and feel the lymph being gradually pushed and pumped up and out your legs. I do not regret my decision! I got paired with Melanie who provided a Rolfing focused session around my hips, low back, and shoulders. Being in the health and wellness field myself, I found Melanie's knowledge of the anatomy as well as her ability to assess tissue quality....and adjust accordingly....EXCELLENT. My needs were seen and met. The treatment seemed simple but it was very effective in removing stiffness and releasing tight knots. She also had much to share in regards to other wellness and self-care modalities. They also have small batch, organic CBD products! Love this place. read more

Besides the amazing massages from these talented ladies, one thing that has boosted my mood and my health is the infrared sauna at The Body synergy location. For years I have struggled with a disease that compromises my immune system. My health seems to go up and down, even though I have tried so many things; both western medicine and homeopathic options. I've only been here for some wax service and the ladies and gentleman who work there are very nice. Their prices are very reasonable and comparable to a bigger city. They offer skin care services, massage & Wax as well as they sell Aveda and other skin care lines. The room they use to wax is much better than the place I went to in another part to town. This is what I expect of a spa facility. As you go in for your appt. they offer you a warm neck wrap and seat you in a very calm waiting area. They offer you soothing tea and water even if you're not there for a massage. I suggest trying this place at least once if you are just passing through or you live here in Mammoth. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

Love it here!!!! No trip to Mammoth is complete without a complete spoil yourself massage here. We literally come in here as much as we can. They give one of one favorite massages ever. Sooo good. Whether you've been hiking, skiing, or doing nothing at all you must come visit. There's been times when my feet and legs have been so messed up and they've broken it down and made me feel soooooo much better. One of the best therapeutic massages I've ever had. I've even had them be able to open my hips when they've been so beaten up and sore. As much as I look forward to my time at our condo in town, I also look so forward to coming here. This spa is my new favorite spa of all time! My masseuse was Nanna, and I wish I could teleport her back to the Bay Area! She was magical. From the beginning where she told me to breathe deeply 3 times and had me inhale some lavender or mint oil, it was like a transformation into another world. I get a LOT of massages and this one was the best ever. She was firm where she needed to be, and soft where she needed to be - pure intuition. I cannot recommend her highly enough. If only I lived closer!!! Had a massage with someone else the next day because Nanna wasn't available, and she wasn't nearly as good. :( read more

I spent a 6 hour drive up to Mammoth very uncomfortable as I am still recovering from surgery last month. I met the owner Jamie, booked a massage for the very next day, and then came back every day for 4 days, lol. Jamie and her staff are amazing!!! Every day my body drastically improved. I went from chronic pain, very limited mobility. To feeling almost normal in only 4 days. I have every reason to resent this place being in Mammoth. I've been going to Mammoth several times a year, every year since I was born! I come for the great outdoors, roughing it, hanging out in town with local establishments, and the very un-LA feel of it all. That "un-LA" feeling, however, has been disappearing faster than you can say "GAP", and places like this Aveda salon are some of the constant reminders that this isn't the place it used to be. However, however, however, however... ...this place is pretty great. If for some reason you desire any kind of therapeutic body treatment while you're in Mammoth, I highly recommend this place. The staff are locals and very nice. The ambiance is very relaxing and the rooms have been designed with a mountain retreat feel in mind, which is cool. So far I've had one massage, two facials, and two leg waxings since this place opened. My massage was great, my facials were the best, and while my first waxing there wasn't great, the last one I had was much better. Don't go in ready to spend a lot of money because you WILL spend it all before you leave on amazing products. I love AVEDA stuff because it's cruelty-free and smells amazing. My wife came here for their ultimate duo package and was in here for nearly three hours. The place itself is a very clean relaxing environment. My review is based off just their service that I saw and what my wife had to say. I came in about 40 minutes before she was finished. From right when I came in the gentleman behind the desk was incredibly nice, I asked if I could sit in the waiting area. As I was sitting there reading he brought me tea then about 10 minutes later a heated up neck wrap. Awesome service for someone just waiting for another customer to finish. The owner did not pick up, so I left a message and the owner called me back before the end of the day. I had my massage with Kalyn and she was EXCELLENT. I told her that I just wanted to relax and that I liked medium-firm pressure. She started with some breathing relaxation techniques and followed with a little bit of aromatherapy. The massage itself was wonderful! I loved that she was firm in the places that were sore and not as firm on the places that were tender. She was very intuitive! Intouch is so charming! They are an Aveda boutique, so the minute you walk through the doors it has the most heavenly scent. Once I arrived at the spa, I received a cup of Aveda comforting tea and a Dream Time warm neck wrap to help start the relaxing process. The staff there is so sweet and warm. It's not like the big spas in LA. The only downside is they only have services, so no soaking tub, no steam room, etc. Kelley was my masseuse. She is so sweet and did a great job of working out all my kinks and did everything possible to comfort my bad knee during my massage. Honestly, I think this place is a hidden gem. I'm 44 years old and I generally treat my body like an amusement park. I'm also pretty thin and wiry and after 3 days of hard riding to start off my season at Mammoth I was in need of serious deep tissue body work. I get a massage once every couple of weeks and I'm very discerning when it comes to massage and therapists. That said, my 90 minute session with Patti at Intouch has the distinction of being the best massage I have ever had IN MY LIFE! Patti was truly amazing. Her intuition, her understanding of the body, and her technique were all excellent. She solicited feedback and adjusted pressure to perfection (I like deep massage). Often times when I have a massage it seems like the therapist is sort of "saving" their hands by only going to a certain level of intensity and staying there... but not patty. Without question she put 110% of her heart and strength in to this massage. On top of that she is just a sweet, nice person. I can't recommend Patti more highly... just make sure you save some for me!! read more

We came through Mammoth, on the way to Reno from LA. Since we were staying the night I decided to pamper myself for an hour while my husband watched our ten-month-old at the resort where we were staying. My shoulders and lower back were tense; carrying a 30-lb baby around for most of the day, it can really put a strain a body. A masseuse named Jennifer gave me a fantastic hour-long massage. I left Intouch feeling invigorated and completely drained of stress and toxicity from cramped traveling. Near the end of the massage, I wouldn't say I fell asleep, but I certainly drifted into a zen-like trance, which could be dramatically described as Nirvana. But seriously--that massage turned me into oozing, purring jelly. If I ever come through Mammoth again, I'm definitely coming back for another session. read more

I've had a number of massages in my life but my session with Melanie today tops every other. She is trained in many types of therapy and asked a series of questions to customize a perfect treatment for my 'ski sore' body. She used her hands, forearms and feet with exquisite skill and moved very slowly for maximum relief. I never had the feeling she was hurrying which was super relaxing. I swear she could see into my muscles and used the exact pressure I like. My body parts were arguing about who had been treated the best!! I loved the different fragrances of oils she used and everything about the spa was clean and friendly. This was the treat of treats and I wish Melanie worked closer to me than a six hour drive although there are days I might be tempted to make that happen. read more

I think everyone has a different preference for how they want their massages so this reviews relevance will depend on your preferences. I typically like a myofascial sport massage with deep pressure. The Masseusse did not know what that was so I received a gentle rubdown. If a gentle rundown is what you are looking for this place will suffice. If you are looking for a higher quality massage or something specific, I would advise you to look elsewhere. Most of the places I've been before have masseuses that are trained in several different kinds of massages. This places does not really have that. read more

So as usual, I refer to yelp for some help on finding a masseur and InTouch Micro Spa came up on the listing. This place is located in an mini outdoor strip mall but don't let the facade discourage you in any way. Firstly, make sure to book your appointment in advance. You will be greeted with a nice hot cup of organic tea and a hot neck warmer to get your body settle down a bit. The Masseuse I have was Chyna and she is a total pro. Chyna totally helped me relieved all of my aches and tension. I totally wasted my body snowboarding and I am so so please to have found InTouch. This is a gem in Mammoth. My experience with Chyna was equivalent to any top massuer in Los Angeles. Will definitely come back the next time we are up here in Mammoth. Prices are just a bit above average from LA but not by much and it is totally worth every penny. $85 for 60 mins $110 for 90 mins read more
