We were all in Mammoth for the weekend and my friend and I wanted to get a massage. Unfortunately the local Aveda spa in town was completely booked, so we started calling around to all the massage places on Yelp. Jill answered the phone right away, had an opening, and even better - could come to our room at the Westin. We paid $100/hour for massages in our room, which was totally worth it, and it's also a little cheaper than the mobile massage that the concierge at the Westin recommends. Jill brings everything, massage table, clean sheets, HEATING PAD (totally bonus!), music, etc. I loved that we could use our own music, too. Her massage lotion was perfect - didn't leave us feeling greased up and was unscented. I'm super sensitive to lotions/oils/scents and I didn't have any reaction to what she used. Jill carried conversation when I wanted to talk and was silent when I wanted to relax. As for massage style, I like super deep tissue massages that leave you a little sore afterwards, because I have a really tight upper back from sitting at a computer all day. Jill totally accommodated that and also did a great job on my feet, which I love! My friend got a "medium strength" massage since she's not used to deep tissue and she was sore all day the next day too, LOL. Guess we both have lots of knots to work out! I'm sure Jill can adjust her pressure to anything you prefer. She does ask you if the pressure is OK and it's your job to speak up. Above all, Jill was attentive of my personal therapy needs. She loosened tensions from unique trouble spots, targeting the tensions that arise from my active summer lifestyle. The pressure built as the session increased while responding to tighter areas with a particular sense of care. I'd say that feeling personally attended to in that manner really sets Jill a step above other massage practitioners I've met who may just be going through some normative textbook motions. I get massages pretty often and have had mobile massage before but this is one of the best massages I've had in a very long time. Jill was very professional and friendly. Not to mention she replied immediately to my request on here and the price was sure reasonable. All her equipment was super clean and proper. She had a great playlist that wasn't your typical spa music and a heating pad. She had great bedside manner and the massage was perfect! The pressure was exactly what I asked for, it wasn't too soft and I wasn't so firm that you couldn't enjoy yourself. The pace was perfect too. My review is a bit overdue as I saw Jill in July. I have to thank Jill who was able to take me last minute. As a middle aged guy, my body was killing me after 4 days of downhill bike riding with my son and his friend. My shoulder hurt (old injury), back was sore, hamstrings tight, and other aches. I had a 6 hour drive in front of me and was not looking forward to sitting in the car in pain. Jill is a master at her profession. She spent about 5 minutes going over how hard I wanted my massage, what injuries I had, and problem areas. She then set to work. An hour later, I was nearly ache free and ready for my trip ahead. What can I say? She comes to your home and gives a great massage. No stepping out into the cold after a massage at a local spa. I've gone straight to bed and fallen right asleep.
