I asked the lady working there if this was a store for runners and she said yes but a lot of their customers are nurses and medical professionals on their feet for long periods of time. They also get a lot of customers referred by their podiatrists. I noticed the foot scan and she said it only takes 30 seconds and it helps them determine which shoes would be most suitable for the customers needs. They customize the insoles too. They even have a treadmill which is a cool idea to find the most perfect and comfortable fit. If you're a runner, it's a great deal to join their Gilbert Saturday Run Club as you'll get a 15% discount! They meet at the store at 6AM. They also have Gilbert half marathon training programs. I think this is a nice store to buy the perfect pair of shoes but one turn off was the gentleman working there asking me in an accusatory tone if I was taking pictures for their competition?? He must've had a negative experience in the past so I just told him I was only taking pictures for a review.

I drove down from Vegas wearing brand new shoes that did not fit, even though they were sized higher than what I normally wear. My toe pain overtook my apprehension and I dragged my formally slender body inside. Monika came up to me and helped put my mind at ease. She spent time checking out what was wrong with my current shoes then took me over to scan my feet. Turns out my left foot is longer than my right. She started pulling out boxes of shoes to find the right fit for me, then we went through what colors I liked. What shoe companies I liked. I came in looking for a pair of shoes that would actually fit me properly...I ended up buying two pairs. One pair was not her store, so we arranged for the shoes to be shipped to my home. I was so relieved, I went back the next day, on our way out of town and bought another pair that I really wanted and my wife came in and bought herself a pair and sliders. Service was great. Friendly staff that love what they do. Prices were very reasonable, even considering shipping. Just go. Go now. You will not be disappointed.

I'm not terribly picky about colors or brands, though I've got some favorites and generally know what I need. I tried on a couple of pairs and purchased some new road shoes during this visit. Simple and fast! (At least one of those describes me.) Can I get shoes cheaper online? Sure. Would I get the same level of service and instant Q&A/ feedback with the opportunity to actually try them on? Not a chance. Should I support a local business? Is that even a question?!?
