A friend and I decided to get some piercings. I chose to get my reverse helix pierced. Upon recommentions, I sought out Body Jewel -- which I didn't even realize was more than a jewelry store. Everything was done very professionally. You have someone walk you through the procedure, then show you which jewelry is appropriate for your piercing -- you can upgrade for a small fee if you choose -- and flash sterilize your choice. The piercer, Dan, was extremely professional. He goes over the process and what to expect with healing. All of the supplies are opened in front of you and Dan was extremely careful to not contaminate anything! I would definitely recommend him to anyone! read more

Seriously, this place was hoping today at the mall! Even though they were so busy and at times you couldn't move without turning into someone, the staff was amazing and so friendly. The wait was 25-35 minutes, but that's because everyone two minutes someone else was talking in. They go over every detail with you, they talk to you, they mark on your ear to show you where they can place it. From the front desk, to the wait, to my daughters new cartilage piercing, every aspect was smooth and friendly. We will for sure go back! read more

I went in the other day just for a jewelry change for my conch piercing that I've had for 10 years and never had any issues with. The asked if I wanted her to change it so I said sure to save myself the hassle. I believe I had a 16g in it already but she assured me it was a 14g. When she went to put it in she punctured a 14g into my ear that was obviously a smaller hole. She basically gauged the hole bigger than it was... which hurts like a mother, for anyone that doesn't know! My ear immediately hurt so bad and here we are days later and it still hurts really bad. Went to another piercing place and they said it's not infected but the cartilage is stretched so it's inflamed. Now having to soak and take meds since it now has to restart the healing process all over again. All from just getting an "earring change" read more

My best friend had her nose pierced here. I went with her, and the piercer was highly professional, the studio was sanitary and she was very happy with the service and price. Because of that experience, I went in to talk to someone about getting a navel piercing. I've had several surgeries for medical problems, so I have some scars, four c-sections and have lost over 100 lbs over the last year. I don't have a bikini beach tummy, but after all I've overcome, I wanted something pretty about my midriff, just for me. I was a little embarrassed about wanting a navel ring, but the young woman working at the front counter was unbelievably comforting and reassured me that I don't have anything to worry about. She showed me the navel rings that come with the cost of the piercing, as well as the custom made rings that their piercers make in the store. They were beautiful. I was highly impressed that they make custom jewelry in the store, and even can customize pieces they have in the store to what you would like. I didn't get my piercing today, however, I'm going in tomorrow to get it done and I'll update after I do. I'm really looking forward to getting my piercing here. UPDATE: I went in today and got my navel pierced. The young woman working the front desk (different than the young woman I spoke with initially), was also very professional, respectful and reassuring. The piercing was quick. So I came here to get my nose repierced. i had gotten it done at another shop originally and had no complications, but they didn't have a piercer when I went to that place so I came here. the girl at the register was really nice and all but i came in with jewelry to have put in my nose and they refused to put it in and made me buy new jewelry. well when she first put the needle through my nose she noticed that she placed it wrong so she proceeded to slide the stud out and redo the placement. then she put the needle in again. my nose was bleeding and it hurt. about a week later after i had been keeping up with cleaning it got infected. so $45 down the drain and i had terrible service with the piercer. read more

Before my most recent experience here, I absolutely loved this place!! But obviously that has changed. I came here to buy two earrings and the girl at the front desk with round glasses was 1) extremely condescending and legitimately talked to me like I had never had my ears pierced 2) did not listen to anything I said because she IMMEDIATELY tried getting me to sign waivers to get jewelry put in (which I didn't ask for) and 3) after I EXPLICITLY showed her that I wanted the EXACT same earrings from my previous piercing here, she completely ignored me and proceeded to scramble/rush me and didn't even show me the jewelry I was purchasing. As soon as I walked out the store, I looked at the jewelry and saw that the diameters of the earrings were HUGE (mind you, I told her I had VERY small ears but she probably just didn't listen once again!) and they were NOT the same as the earring I showed her in my ear. When I went back to confront her about giving me a product that I literally did not ask for, she told me she couldn't do anything since I had walked out of their view (even though I literally had just spent over $40 on jewelry that I can't even use because of her errors!!!). I tried speaking to whoever the manager was at the time and she tried to tell me that it was my fault for not being specific enough (even though I SHOWED THE GIRL the earrings I wanted that were literally in my ear as well as PICTURES of the piercing that I previously got here to ensure that I got the right earrings). Neither of the employees took accountability for their actions, and for that, I will no longer be a customer at Body Jewel. To give anyone perspective on this, I literally never write reviews but this experience was so absolutely ridiculous that I felt other consumers should be aware. read more
