I've previously been a member at several large box gyms but often felt uncomfortable with the sales pressure and long term contracts. Nothing like that here - at SFX I felt right at home. Everything from the front desk to the trainers (thanks Evan) made me feel right at home. The gym has all of the equipment you'll need to get a great workout in - whatever your goals are - but the real gold is the people. The staff and trainers made themselves available to answer questions and are extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Gym-goers are a total mix of ages and fitness levels and the monthly fee is reasonable. I look forward to checking out some of the classes and camps in the future. I'm still going to be patronizing all of the great food and drink in Roswell - just adding SFX into my routine!

Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, he also has an arsenal of health and nutrition tips. The owner, Rick, makes everyone feel welcome and there is a diverse clientele with youth sports training and more senior or seasoned patrons like me (smile). Julian, one of the founders, is amazing with nutrition coaching, sports and functional/mobility training that has helped me with a few hip flexor issues that have come up over the years. There are also classes focused on strength training and cardio. I started small and was encouraged by another gym goer, Stephanie, to come with her to a few. Now, in addition to training, I attend step, boot camp, boxing, glute camp and even trampoline! I am grateful to her and countless others for their encouragement. The location is very convenient for me (eliminating excuses) and they have everything on hand from towels and showers to 360 body scans. I lost my way for a few years even though I knew what to do (certified personal trainer, past figure bodybuilder). The missing link was the accountability and sense of community to help keep me on track. Thanks to the great staff at SFX, I have found my way back and wouldn't trade the process for anything. Trust me, give them a try. You won't regret investing in you for a change...

Not because the gym is lacking in any way, but because Steve and his small group of hand-picked trainers focus on taking the time to really listen to your goals and assess where you are physically. I have taken a variety of classes with Kolleen, Sara, and Matt and every class is scalable regardless of where you might be in your fitness journey. There is help and encouragement when you need it, and the environment makes you want to come back and workout again, and again. In terms of cleanliness, Core 57 is a 10/10. I have yet to see dust on anything. Cleaning spray bottles and towels are provided to every member during the class and cleaning is required after each use of equipment and announced by the trainers. It is a small group setting (personal training is offered and classes have 4 members to 12 members depending on the class), so I feel comfortable working out even during a pandemic. There are also restrooms and 2 showers available in case you might need to get ready post workout. This is not the kind of gym where you walk on the treadmill for an hour and blindly figure out what equipment to use. If you're looking for a big box gym for $29 a month, this is also not the place for you. I'm a member at CrossFit Terminus in downtown Atlanta but sometimes my girlfriend and I are in Alpharetta two or three times out of the week visiting family up there. We were able to get a pass for $135 that allows us to visit 10 times on a drop in instead of joining completely. This is awesome because we never know when we will have to use it. Upon our first drop in and every single one after the staff and all of the members were very friendly and came up to talk to us. In some boxes they just aren't like that and you feel very unwelcome. If we did live in Alpharetta we would 100% be members completely at this box. I recommend if you live in the Alpharetta area or even kind of close that you make the drive out there to make sure you keep looking good naked in the mirror!
