She stays fully engaged in every part of the class, whether it's the tread, rowing, or weights. Most importantly, she's constantly moving around the room, actively checking form, giving tips, and coaching in the moment, which makes a huge difference. While I know motivation ultimately comes from within, I noticed in other classes at this location I wasn't pushing myself as much and didn't feel the same energy I've experienced at other studios. When I signed up for the gym with the manager I explained how I'm a single mom with a 15 month old and now I can only work out if I bring her with me. They had just opened a kids club so it was perfect, and I even asked about it closing and what would happen. She told me that I would have at least 1 month notice since you pay for first month and last month when you sign up for both memberships but she also stressed that it will not be closing cause it is doing great and was in high demand. I even have in writing that she does remember telling these things. They closed kids club without warning, not a call or text or email, a piece of paper taped to the door on the final night. I was upset since that's the whole reason I joined this gym and we got a utilize it for less than two months and I've already prepaid for a month that I cannot use now. I was told I had to reach out to corporate about getting my prepaid money refunded to me and there was nothing else they would do for me. I asked for my annual fee refund since I was there for less than 2 months and didn't wanna leave. I was told no since " I'm the one choosing to end my membership", and how I'm welcome to continue my membership without bring my daughter. As I explained to the manager when I first started , that simply isn't an option for me , I quite literally have to bring her with me or I can't go. When I spoke to Corporate I was told that I can take the refund for the prepaid month or I can choose to escalate, but she will purposely mark my request as " none need to Escalate" To ensure nobody calls me back. She said I can accept the month refund and stop asking for my annual fee refund or she will make sure I get refunded NOTHING. So she basically told me to shut up or they will keep my prepaid month for a program that they shut down and now a unless membership. I have to pay an annual fee and start all over at new gym now. I'm beyond disappointed. I don't care that it's no Annual fee refunds in their policy, I think good customer service for something that's out of my hands would be to give me that refund. I will say that the staff at this location have always been kind and taken great care of my daughter when kids club was open, I'm just beyond frustrated with how this has been handled.

They have lockers where you can put your things in and if you don't have gloves or wraps they can provide them for you. First time is free, but I think they said it was 3$ for the gloves (for each use) and you have to the buy wraps. They don't have showers. The class consisted of going back and forth between HIIT strength training (using weights and sometimes your own body weight) and then going to the boxing bag. The coach instructs what kind of punch sequences are next under cool lights and awesome music. They also have a screen that shows what kind of punch you should be throwing at the moment (you have to follow certain sequences). That was really helpful in case you forget the order. I found the studio online and of all the studios I looked at, it had the most variety of classes at times that worked for us (after regular working hours and on weekends). We signed up for the initial $20 unlimited 2 weeks pass and crammed in as many classes as we could over that time. Every class we took and every instructor we worked with was fantastic. I did 2 of the video classes as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And we loved that every single class and instructor reinforced that everyone's yoga practice is individual and we should feel free to modify as needed and ask for help when needed. We have since purchased multiple of the 30 class packs but I think we'll switch to the monthly rate as soon as we've used all of our classes. We look forward to the 2-3 classes a week we attend; they've become so much a part of our weekly routine that everything feels "off" if we miss one! The fact that Lift has now added a John's Creek location is even better for us, since we split time between my home in Alpharetta and my partner's house in John's Creek - so wherever we are, we can find a class time and location that works. Final note: I can only assume the handful of people giving 1-star reviews and complaining about the studio being "activist" and "political" are anti-maker folks who bristled at being asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the studio. We gladly wore our masks for the first several months we attended and continue to distance while inside the studio when requested. Yoga is not a-political. The very essence of yoga requires truth, justice, peace, and learning - and yes, activism. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand yoga.
