Ok, Planet Fitness has earned all the jokes at its own expense by promoting it's "judgement free zone" while at the same time judging the "lunks" who frequent traditional gyms. Gone are free weight bars, squat racks, and heavy dumbbells. So it's definitely not a lifter's gym, but this location does its part in providing a good, clean environment to get a workout in. The full time staff are super friendly and do great at providing quality customer service. The part timers, not so much. This gym is super clean and they do a lot of work to keep it that way. My only real gripe is they only have one pec deck fly machine, which is actually two different exercises, and is almost always in use. One more machine would make a big difference. I wouldn't recommend the personal trainers at this location, I've seen them really do a disservice to their clients when it comes to teaching proper form on machines, cables, and free weights. For $20 a month the membership includes tanning, hydrobeds, Massage chairs and red light therapy. That's a great deal. This has been my first experience at Planet Fitness and I think the staff makes this location a great pick. Great people, good gym.

The young lady I spoke to said that was fine and even suggested the Black Card membership and I could bring him as my guest. I drove across town, picked my son up and drove to Planet Fitness to check it out and sign up if we like it, only to be informed that the minimum age was 13. Thank you for wasting an hour and a half of my life. Guess which gym we will NOT be signing up to when he turns 13.

Prior to this, I went to a 'regular' gym with machines and weights. BBC is a combination of strength and high intensity interval training. However, they do not use machines. There are plenty of equipment (weights, ropes, bands, medicine balls, etc) to help target every muscle group. There are currently 9 different camp times offered during the week and three morning classes on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. Each camp is 45 minutes long and challenging. You could even say intense... but in a good way! Of all my on-again off-again years of working out, I've never sweat or have been challenged like I do during a camp at BBC. It feels amazing! Burn Boot Camp Cumming is more than a gym, it's a community. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. Their team is super helpful and friendly, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The trainers are very knowledgeable and will give you the right push to reach your potential. They often use the phrase, "let it burn." And boy does it burn so good. They will also make modifications if you have an injury but still want to participate. Focus meetings are included in the packages. I wish I had taken advantage of this sooner. The trainers will give you a nutritional plan that's doable to help you achieve your goals. I've only started to see REAL results after going to focus meetings. As a member, you get free childcare and access to the private Facebook community group. Right now, virtual workouts are offered and shared on the Facebook group. BBC likes to spice things up every now and then by adding challenges throughout the year. Commit2Fit is a popular one. It's actually what got me to sign up. It's 4 weeks of unlimited camps for $99. I tried it in September 2019 and have been hooked ever since. I'm thankful for Burn Boot Camp Cumming today and everyday!

The first incident occurred about 3 1/2 weeks ago and someone didn't show up until 5:25. The second occurrence happened about a week ago and they arrived at 5:08. And now this morning it is 5:08 and nobody is here yet again. This is completely unacceptable and throws off everyone's day who count on a full morning workout prior to starting their work day. Seems to me they either need to find better help but in order to do that, probably pay more than $10/hour or whatever they are currently paying. Once I can understand, happening twice ok maybe a little issue, but the fact this happened a 3rd time tells me a change needs to be made. UPDATE: it is now 5:27am and STILL nobody is here and the gym has not opened yet.

They left soon after I entered. A few minutes later, I realized the sauna was becoming excessively hot. When I looked up, I noticed that the thermostat had been covered with a napkin-like material. The sign on the door clearly states, "Do not cover the thermostat," which made me feel uneasy, so I decided to step out to inform the front desk. As I opened the door, the sauna's sprinklers suddenly activated, startling me, and moments later, the fire alarm went off. I did not find anybody at the front desk. Only one rep was doing a sales pitch on the table next to the front desk. He didn't seem bothered by the fire alarm and continued as normal. I had to interrupt him to tell that the sauna had an issue. The next day, I called the gym manager to ask about their safety protocols and what measures they planned to implement to prevent this from happening again. To my surprise, the manager stated that there were no plans to address the issue, insisting that the existing sign on the door was sufficient. When I raised concerns about customer safety--such as what could happen if the sprinklers failed or were tampered with just like the thermostat--the manager dismissively responded that they had no intention of taking any further action. He curtly stated, "It doesn't matter."
