This is no one-shop-fits all, buy my latest vitamin, fly-by-night operation. They...take...care...of...you. Your health and well-being is priority. You won't even get on equipment/touch a jump rope/do a push up until a health assessment is done - trust me; this is to your benefit! Everything you do toward achieving your health/fitness goals from that moment on out will be custom-tailored for your body. My body has slimmed down (although I'm still a work in progress). I know they're helping me do something right because heads have been turning in appreciation. :-) The strength training has sculpted some awesome arms, calves, and hips (if I do say so myself). And, let me add: this place is phenomenal for families. I have two sons; ages 13 and 17. They both are football/lacrosse players and they train here. They have an athletic fitness program designed for my sons that is so awesome that it helped my oldest son become selected as part of the football team at Georgia Southern University. They care **THAT** much for their athletes to design a program that helps them excel! I love my Fitness Studio 108 family. And, the truth of the matter is, they love me (and all of their clients) right back. They celebrate every milestone that you accomplish. If you don't believe me, check out their Facebook or web page. Day 1 - I faced no concerns and they also confirmed that I have another free pass that I can use. When I come the next day, they refuse to honor the second day free pass. They did not even bother to see my free pass email that was unused. They showed no commitment about the confirmation their own staff gave me that I have another free pass. The manager was not present and did not pick up the call. They are just making fool of people with false information. Waste of time. Beware of joining them. The only reason I was planning to join this gym was because of proximity to my home. I would rather go to other gyms who are much more friendly.

Joel's teaching style is patient and kind. The classes are so small it feels more like physical therapy or personal training rather than group fitness. They put me through the paces three times a week in a trio setting. The instructors work with students of many levels at once, so each participant gets a workout on their own level. My husband trains with me two times a week. Any infirmities we are blessed with are always taken into consideration with special modifications, so don't worry about aches and pains. The atmosphere is pleasant and encouraging at all times, with a variety of apparatus to make the workout interesting. The result is improved strength, endurance, and flexibility.

I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome a few years ago, and I couldn't trust my body to do basis tasks. There were so many things I would avoid doing, because my body seemed so fragile. I literally lived in fear. When I started at Body By Design, I was scared that I might injure myself but the trainers made me feel at ease by ensuring me that these exercises were the best way to prevent injury. Not only do I not experience TOS symptoms anymore, I am able to use my body like I used to! These trainers have given me my life back and I am very grateful. Here is why: He balances a welcoming atmosphere with serious fitness exercises. Without any prior experience, I found myself comfortably swinging around old school russian-style kettlebells and deadlifting free weights. He provides flexible workout plans. We began a dual-person training program that enabled us to work almost one on one with Scott while not struggling with the cost of two separate personal training programs. He really knows what he is doing. When we started, I was very out of shape with knee and back problems. After a few months, my wife became pregnant. Scott was able to carefully increase the intensity of my workout while at the same time adjusting hers as her physical abilities shifted.

The owner, Dan Owens, instructs these classes often and will absolutely crush your upper and lower body in the best possible way. He is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure every person in the room knows what to do and helps with form if necessary and welcomed. Another great perk is access to the locker rooms and saunas. I feel the entire facility is kept clean and organized. I love the big windows everywhere which allow for a ton of natural light to come inside. I also enjoy using the indoor/outdoor green space on the bottom floor which has a garage door that can open and close depending on the weather. Very nice during Spring, Summer and early Fall. I never feel like I have to wait for equipment to free up, and they do offer complimentary towels at the front desk upon check-in. This athletic club is on ClassPass and I typically just purchase gym time using a couple credits or I sign up for the circuit or conditioning classes.

Came for one workout early Saturday morning through ClassPass!…read more The layout: there are no separate rooms built into this fitness studio. It's just one big open room with equipment laid out. There's a few chairs around the room and Sam (the head trainer and owner) has a podium at the front to do any admin things like paperwork. The workout: There were about 5 other women there for the session that day and we started just a couple minutes after 9 am with a core warmup. this session was called "open gym" so the two trainers created different stations throughout the room including weighted squats, a bench press, ropes, etc. Kinda like boot camp drills. There were about 10 different total small workouts and every attendee was supposed to complete 15 reps of each activity 3 times. It. Was. A. Workout. Trainers/environment: super fun environment. Music is loud and hype which makes these kinds of workouts more fun! Trainer Sam and her other trainer seemed to know everyone super personally which is awesome. They walked around and continued to fix your form and push a workout until you hit your best. The other ladies were also super friendly. By the end, I was a sweaty mess but felt good. The morning after is here, and it feels like someone's put a ton of bricks on parts of my body but rest assured, the soreness means it worked! $$: I came to this through classpass so I thought it was worth it but not sure if I'd pay full price for a subscription!
