This place was recommended by a PT from another organization where scheduling had become difficult…read more My teenage kid had ACL surgery and was three weeks post-op when we came here. As a travel athlete, the goal of rehab is not only healing but returning to peak performance. The first PT who assessed my kid was not friendly - I would probably say she was a bit condescending, and made us feel bad for allowing knee bending exercises, something both the surgeon and the previous PT had encouraged. She instructed us to stop all bending exercises, including heel slides, until further notice. When she sarcastically asked my kid to lift a straight leg and immediately pointed out the inability to do so, my kid explained that the foot was stuck on the table base. No chance to let her try again, PT moved on to whatever was next on her list of things to do. Despite nothing appearing abnormal in recovery, the PT dismissed our explanations and remained condescending throughout. I simply said we'd email the doctor's protocol to her rather than argue. We later learned from the second PT - not from scheduling, check-in, or even the first PT herself - that the initial PT was leaving in a couple of weeks as she was a traveling PT, and we'd be reassigned to someone else. Given that ACL rehab typically lasts 7-12 months (a timeframe she herself confirmed), it was disappointing that this wasn't disclosed upfront. It reflected a lack of continuity and care for the patient experience. The second PT was much kinder and even seemed surprised by the "no bending" instruction. He gave my kid very basic quad engagement exercises on the table with light stretching. However, he was clearly managing multiple patients at once, leaving my kid waiting between exercises. The appointment also ran to about 80 minutes, despite being told it would last an hour, and only ended because I mentioned we had to get to school. Afterward, I contacted the doctor, who advised us to stop going there immediately since not bending the knee could harm recovery. I would not recommend this place, especially for young athletes.

But two + months in '08 (w/ Jessica) solved my shoulder issues, and with work I was instructed to do after leaving, no further issues. Sent in July by my internist for very bad back pain, sessions seemed to help but only for short periods after surgery. After 10-12 sessions, Jessica suggested I stop, which disappointed me until she explained that I had limited visits remaining on my insurance, and she said lack of sufficient improvement from PT and other things from my MD that she felt surgery may be in my future, after which a neurosurgeon would likely suggest PT. Did make sense, so I said OK. Wasn't long after I saw a NS who showed me on my films why it wasn't working and surgery was indicated. I originally felt my satisfaction was as much with Jessica as with SPT, but once she was unavailable and I was set-up with Courtney. My skepticism was quickly shown to be unwarranted, as she was also quite good with a unique trick or two of her own. A few weeks later I ended up with Aaron, again, was skeptical but he is excellent. There is a fourth therapist also I have not used so have no comment. Everyone is quite nice and seems to be extremely knowledgeable. Maybe other places are as good or even better but that's hard for me to imagine.

It wasn't painful, but it was a source of deep insecurity. We don't know when or how it happened, but the crooked-ness was very apparent. I took her to see Dr. Go about a year ago, and she's been getting treated ever since. Prior to the initial assessment, the front desk was very helpful in tracking down my mom's complicated and nuanced insurance provided by her union. They even wrote it down for us for future reference. On first visit, Dr. Go methodically examined my mom through X-rays, listened to all of our concerns, explained the treatment plan carefully (English is my mom's 3rd language), and made both my mom and myself feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He also explained that my mom's shoulders were likely the result of an injury (possibly decades ago). Now, about a year later, my mom's spine and neck placement has dramatically improved. Her shoulders are much closer to level and she's able to look head on. She's expressed that she has greater mobility. She's been getting so many compliments from coworkers and friends (which she happily shares with me). My mom looks forward to getting adjusted by Dr. Go each week.
