I will preface this with saying I'm an active adult who likes to stay in shape, and I used to regularly lift weights. Last year, I began experiencing shoulder pain. After several months of attempting to deal with it on my own with no improvement, I decided to research what physical therapy clinics were available in my area to get professional help. I reached out to Rise Up PT and was able to schedule an appointment very quickly. I have to give a shout out to Beth. In regards to anything administration-wise (scheduling appointments, anything related to insurance, etc.), this has probably been the smoothest experience I've ever had and it's always a pleasure to talk to her. I've never had any communication issues with her. Now for the physical therapy itself - Aysha was my physical therapist for the entire duration of my treatment. Right from the very beginning and all the way up to the end, she has been an outstanding professional. She was able to quickly pinpoint the areas to target that were causing my pain, as well as come up with a plan of attack on how to best approach it. She listened to everything I had to say, and was able to conclude from my feedback on what needed to be worked on next. When I met her for my first appointment, I believe I said my pain was about a 7/10; even for simple movements at a short range, I always felt pain and it especially hurt getting out of bed. Fast forward to today, I can't even remember what that was like. Towards the end of my treatment in the past couple of weeks, I had actually forgotten I used to have that constant pain because of how much my shoulder has improved thanks to Aysha's work. She has been very friendly to talk to, while also being observant with each of my movements during therapy. She also took the time to explain the 'why' of whatever she was doing - something I always ask and appreciate when answered in great detail. I will continue to do the stretches and exercises she has taught me, and I will schedule another appointment with her if I need a tune-up or begin experiencing recurring pain again. read more

I'm in my late 20's and have worked with many physical therapists over the years. Injuries are a part of an active lifestyle and sports. Some PTs have been good, while others simply see injury "A" and pull out exercise sheet "A". Rachel and the Rise Up crew don't fit into either aforementioned category... they alone sit above the rest and I can say without a doubt that they are the best PTs I've ever worked with. I currently do crossfit and went to work with Rise Up to help address some pains before they developed into major issues. Rachel was able to quickly identify route causes of the various pains and develop effective protocols to fix the underlying issues. One of the most impressive things for me is that she always has a real answer to the questions "what are you doing?" and "why are you doing that?" and is more than willing to provide very in-depth explanations. There's never any "filler" stretches or movements, everything she performs/prescribes is purposeful. While working with her I developed some new shoulder pain that was completely preventing me from overhead pressing in a certain way. Within one visit she was able to determine the causes, work on them and by the end of the session I was able to do the motion pain free with light weight. A few weeks later and I can now perform them at 100% capacity and pain free. I've been telling everyone I know who mentions being in pain to go try Rise Up and I hope after reading this you will as well! read more

I worked with Rachel to help correct my son's plagiocephaly (flat head) and torticollis (stuff neck). Our pediatrician recommended Rachel after she saw a concern with my son's head and AFTER he was referred for a helmet! After working with Rachel and getting educated on the conditions, I wish I met her sooner! Rachel is not only knowledgeable on these things but is super sweet and effective! I felt like she answered every question I had, was so gentle with my son, noticed and worked on things my pediatrician never brought up and not to mention worked miracles on my son! As my son got older, she also focused on milestones he should be working on-rolling, crawling etc. I am forever grateful for Rachel's services, expertise and care! I feel like doctors don't fully know what a PT truly does, and I wish I knew sooner. Without a doubt, if I have another baby, I would see Rachel again before any "issues" arise. Also, while I was working with Rachel and I was expressing my gratitude to her and expressing my frustration that I didn't get the referral sooner.. we were talking, and I realized that I had my own needs that she ended up helping with (diastasis recti aka split abs). Once again, she was amazing to work with and super helpful! I can not say enough nice words about Rachel and her care! If you are reading this, don't wait.. call her now and make an apt! read more

Rachel and The RISE UP team have been great. They have been instrumental in helping me relieve low back pain. They truly know their craft and are hands on, informative and have a thorough knowledge of the entire body and how my condition relates. The stretching and exercises they give are well thought out and explained and they are amazing at listening to the patient. They personalize each approach and help you follow a simple regime at home. They also instill knowledge, stretching, breathing, or just know how that will stay with you for the rest of your life. I've been to physical therapy in the past, where you feel rushed and you get handed off after meeting with the PT for 10 minutes. They stay with you the entire time and you truly learn why you are having pain and how to improve it. I've recommended them to others and they all have the same response. RISE is the best team around. read more

Aysha has been 5-star topnotch as my Physical therapist! I had invasive surgery on my leg due to an accident in February and after in-home PT, I came to Aysha about 4 weeks ago, not being able to walk unassisted. She is very encouraging, patient and knowledgable and after quickly assessing where I was, she came up with a plan for me. She asked me what my goals were and said that I could reach them! Being an athletic person before the accident, my goal was to get to 100 percent ability and I'm almost there! I couldn't have asked for a better Physical therapist to help me meet my goals. I am so happy to have been able to learn the correct exercises for my leg, so that in the end I would have 100 percent mobility and this injury will not hamper anything I wish to do in the future. read more

A few years ago, I had a spinal fusion in my lower back. So, when I was doing yard work and tweaked my back, I was more than a bit anxious about how bad I had hurt myself and if I would be requiring another surgery. I was lucky enough to find Rachel, who not only relieved the initial pain, but also gave me exercises to do a few times a day to help stretch everything out. My doctor was impressed in my progress as well! One of the things I like most about Rise Up, is that it is just me and the pt the full hour I am there... having that focus helped me know that what I needed was the most important thing at that time. It's no fun being in pain and not getting to do all the things you love to do. I HIGHLY suggest Rise Up Physical Therapy! read more

Rachel is the best!! I came to her when my first child was a few weeks old and I was clueless, scared, and just didn't know if breastfeeding would be possible but knew I really really wanted it to be. My child had lip, tongue, and side ties and torticollis. Rachel made our goals of nursing possible. I am confident without her, we would have a much different story. She was always so calm, patient, and gentle even if my child was having a bad day and cried the whole time (you parents know what I'm talking about). She gave me tools to help me throughout my journey of motherhood that I will be using when our next child is born here shortly. Definitely someone you can trust and rely on what you have no clue what you are doing. read more

Had a great experience with Rachel. She is a results oriented therapist with personal therapy plans specifically designed to maximize the results during the recovery process. Her knowledge of biomechanics and therapy methodology helped me recover from total knee replacement surgery exceptionally fast, even my ortho surgeon was impressed at my results. I especially appreciated her attention to detail and taking time to listen to my issues as they varied every week during the sessions, then developing unique solutions to manage those issues. She is by far the best physical therapists I've had the pleasure to work with. read more

I highly recommend RISE UP Physical Therapy. I HATE being injured and all I ever want out of Physical Therapy is a way to get back to my normal workout routine. Rachel (my PT) understood this and made a plan for me. She texted me videos for my at-home exercises and got me back to what I love....pain-free! I trust RISE UP Physical Therapy so much that I actually had my mom start PT with them. Because of COVID-19, she is able to complete her sessions virtually from home and still receive the benefits of Physical Therapy. read more

Aysha at Rise-Up Physical Therapy is very knowledgeable and engaging. I have had frequent ankle sprains from long distance running over the years and have been in and out of many PT Clinics. She is a quality PT that helped me reach my goals and answered all of my questions. The 1 on 1 with the PT for an hour is something unique I did not have at other PT clinics. read more

Great physical therapy, fantastic experiences! What can I say except Dr. Rachel is the best at what she does! The physical therapist offered both excellent care to fix my back/hips and advice on how to keep the issue from reoccurring with at home stretches. 10/10 would go again. read more
