Went there last night and was so impressed with the food and service. I have gotten take out there before and always loved the food but have never eaten there. They staff does a fantastic job keeping their clientele safe from COVID. Everyone that worked there was wearing masks and not slipping them under their noses like I see in many restaurants. They keep the tables far enough from each other for you to feel comfortable. They also go to great effort to keep everything clean and sanitized. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive and even though we were the last customers of the evening did not make us feel like she was in any rush to leave. I will surely be back. read more

I really like this place! Bodrum is a cute Turkish/Greek restaurant in downtown Venice in a covered alleyway next to a few other local restaurants. It is one of the nicer restaurants in the Venice area and the service is fantastic - every server we've had has been very friendly and helpful. The food is SO tasty! As a vegan I really love their falafel, but a few of my other recommendations would be the stuffed grape leaves (dolmas), the hummus, and the ezme dishes. The one downside is that they don't really have a vegetarian/vegan entree on the menu. This could ~easily~ be fixed with the inclusion of some sort of falafel platter that includes a few of their appetizer spreads. I think that would really help the menu become more inclusive! In the meantime, for a main dish I order the chef's salad (no feta if you're vegan) and add three pieces of falafel (four is a little too much - trust me I know from experience). It may not sound filling but I guarantee you it is! The salad will also come with one dolmas. The other thing to note about Bodrum is that they only serve wine and beer, so mixed drinks are off the table - which means no Martini's for me :( ... I think along with the slight menu change if Bodrum offered a full bar I could give a full 5 stars. But otherwise, this place is stellar and has great food and service. Would recommend! I had Bodrum cater my son's wedding for a group of 30. I was impressed with the service right away. I felt heard and received great service. The food was ready exactly when they said it would be, all still being hot. The good was absolutely amazing. Everyone raved. We had leftovers and ate them all. On March 7, 2023, stopped here for dinner with two friends. Hosts were very accommodating as we did not have reservations and the restaurant was quite full. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious (bean salad, grape leaves, salmon, lamb, Tempranillo wine, pudding dessert) and Mansel (spelling?) provided the best service plus entertainment. Ohmygoodness. This food is WOW. My friend and I stopped here for dinner and we sat outside. This restaurant supports social distancing. Workers wore masks. I tried the fish of the day, which was halibut covered in caper sauce with tomatoes and parsley. What a treat! My friend had the beyti kebab which was also outstanding. It was so flavorful! My mother, aunt, and I had a delicious meal at Bodrum Restaurant after a busy day. We enjoyed their Turkish and Mediterranean inspired sample platter, lamb and chicken dishes. Ingredients were fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. I received cucumbers for a gluten allergy accommodation to enjoy the dips. I'm only giving this meal 4 starts because bread was included on 1 dish to split after I shared about my allergy. Service was attentive, friendly, and informative. What a great lunch at Bodrum! My friend who lives in Venice s suggested this place for lunch, and it was spot on! Located in a very breezy arcade in downtown Venice, we sat outside as we had my dog with us. We were greeted quickly by Emily, our very pleasant and competent waitress. She took drink orders and explained the specials. We placed our order which included Hummus, Tzatziki, hallumi cheese, yellow lentil soup and pita. I enjoyed an Efes Turkish beer. Tzatziki was best I've ever had. Saganaki (Hallumi) was very good. Cute restaurant with excellent service and food. Looking forward to next visit to try more Turkish delights! read more

The menu is great! Simple but enough variety to keep you coming back and there are often many specials not listed on the menu. I'm not sure what my favorite is yet, but the gyro platter is toward the top of my list right now. I have enjoyed everything I have tried, even if I expected that I wouldn't like it (lentil soup was so much better than I had ever had before). Fantastic! Atmosphere is light, fresh and simply delightful. The menu had a variety of choices but our fantastic server Sarah led us in the right direction to have the appetizer platter. There were six different selections on the plate served with Pita. More than enough to split as a light lunch. This was our first, but not last visit to Bodrum. The food was delicious, well portioned, and fairly priced. They offer a nice selection of wine, a small variety of bottled beer & no hard liquor. Food is delicious when it's served hot and depends on your cook and server. I love the grilled chicken platter but got it yesterday and some of the chicken was still pink and food came out Luke warm. They do not require guests to wear masks but they seat everyone in the best social distance they can. There no hand sanitizer or gloves worn by staff. They clean tables but not chairs or salt and pepper shaker so your still at risk. It's a bit pricey but worth it once your done with dinner go have ice cream at the Venice creamery the best! read more

It is somewhat similar to other Mediterranean cuisine (Greek) and made with fresh ingredients. We were thrilled when we discovered Bodrum while visiting my parents in Venice. My wife and I love coming to bodrum for the delicious food and atmosphere. We always choose to sit outdoors in a lovely arch walkway that takes us back to the times we spent in Europe and Middle East. It's these little details of aura that make this little restaurant our favorite on the island. We quickly became regulars at this little hidden gem and the owner and head chef makes it a point to come out and converse with us. Once again giving that extra authentic effect of the real city of Bodrum. I recommend it to all my friends. The service does not dissapoint in the least. The staff is friendly and even when they are extremely busy still make us feel like we are old friends. Which brings me to my next point, as of late the restaurant has been very busy so if you have a large dinner party it definitely helps to make a reservation in advance. read more
