Stopped in desperate for a sweet treat on my drive home. I had higher expectations based on the reviews but am assuming most are colored by the small surrounding community. The interior of Bodi's is strange and a bit pieced together. There doesn't seem to be much organization or structure. Even within the bakery cases, which caused some pause before I ordered, but I had already gone out of my way to visit, so I persisted. I consider myself to be understanding. I purchased several items from an unfriendly woman who didn't offer a bag when I struggled to carry out multiple containers. Ok, they were busy. Then when I got home with my $2.50 eclair and took a bite to find mold, I figured I'd take it back so they could not only refund it but consider the other ones for sale in the cooler to avoid another disappointed customer. When I came in, I showed it to 4 different employees who asked what was wrong with it. The fifth was an older gentleman who I can presume was lead baker, maybe one of the owners to help the young girl with processing the refund. He says to me, "what you just didn't like it"? To which I showed him and replied, "would you eat that?" They gave me my refund with no words spoken. As I left I said, "I spoke to 5 different people (all who were standing/sitting around) and not one of you said I'm sorry. An apology would've gone a long way." I am local and visit bodi's often enough. The donuts are fresh but I would carefully consider anything else. Typically the filled items in the coolers are not fresh and are soggy but sometimes they hit the spot anyway. And don't expect any consideration from them...they aren't known for friendly employees. Stopped in a few weeks ago and had a great sandwich for lunch. Went over this morning to try breakfast and gave my order the haystack and a bagel. Even went up to see what kind of eggs came with it. Waited half hour and checked to see what was going on. Kitchen couldn't find our order so we gave it again. 20 mins later and still nothing. WE LEFT. guess if the owners not there making breakfast all the do is baked goods. Won't be back. Sad read more

super cute locally owned and run bake shop. prices are great, especially for how good the food and drinks are. ambiance is nice, it's your classic family owned bakery vibes and it's comforting. service is also good, it's a small team but they all seem to work super hard and do their best to get you what you ordered asap! i've only been in a handful of times but it definitely needs to become a more common stop. i cant recommend them enough for all your bakery needs. read more

Bodi's is a small town bakery with SO much to offer. And so much to gobble up. If you're ever in the Twin Lakes area, you must make a stop at Bodi's. I was spending a weekend in Twin Lakes to get away from Chicago and Bodi's Bake Shop was one of my favorite places. They have donuts, danishes, coffee, cookies, apple fritters and sandwiches... and even a seasonal $10.00 St. Patrick's Day Special for 1 lb of boiled corned beef, cabbage, carrots & potatoes served with Irish soda bread. I wish I could have stayed a little longer to feast on Bodi's Irish special. Your dollar will go a long way here. People from the community were streaming in on a Saturday morning. Earlier there was a 5K race and kids had their faces painted, waiting patiently in line to order cookies. Many people seem to order their items by the box and in large quantities, probably to set down on a dining table somewhere to share. I could tell Bodi's is a feel-good, community favorite. There is a huge selection of baked goods - racks of donuts, a glass case overflowing with cookies, danishes and other delectables. You'll feel like a little kid in a candy store. Everything is calling out your name to try it. I got an apple fritter, cake donut with chocolate frosting and a cup of coffee for around $4.00. You can't beat that! All this for LESS than what it costs to order a latte at Starbucks. I need to get out of the city more often. The staff were kind as well. When I ordered their flavored coffee of the day, the woman, with a wide smile, kindly reminded me"it's bottomless." They also have these AMAZING croutons to snack on. These are buttery, garlicky, divine and worst of all, addicting. They came in styrofoam cups on every table and our group of 5 girls devoured these like we tasted butter for the first time. Love Bodi's Bakery! Jane comes from a family of hard working, loyal and trusting people. Never saw any one work and care as much as Jane. She has been doing this for quite some time and hope she never stops! Best place to order speciality cakes and items. What's going on here used to be such a good place to buy donuts and coffee cakes coffee cakes are dried and old. Donuts are no longer big and fluffy. I think they're trying to add too many products such as soup and sandwiches that forgetting about the bakery part which got them started. read more

Nice little local bakery in the heart of downtown Twin Lakes. Some reviews raved about the Apple fritters. I thought they were just okay, my wife and daughter really liked them. To be honest though, I'm not usually a fritter person so I wouldn't be the right person to ask about them I suppose. Grandkids loved the little box of cookies we bought. I had a cinnamon twist that was very good and my wife had a chocolate frosted cake donut she said was very good as well. Grandkids also loved the sprinkle donuts with a fluffy white frosting center. Service was fast and friendly, no wait at all on a Friday around 9am. Store is small and there were a few friendly locals sitting inside enjoying their baked goods. They have been my FAVORITE (I think my kids and Randy could agree) for a couple years now. Their breakfast croissant sandwhiches are BOMB!!! The people there are so friendly and helpful -- I was a bit embarrassed that I didn't know some of the local baked goods, but they were patient and helpful in explaining their pastries. What a great bakery. You could tell it was Fresh made this am. You can tell they've been doing this for years. Amazing small town bakery. The staff is always super nice and their donuts are delicious! Every time I come home I make sure to stop here for my morning breakfast or a lunch sandwich. It's hard to pass up the desserts that they have displayed in the cases for something after dinner. If you haven't tried the Ham on Sunday's with the Cherry Sauce, please step away from your closet and get down to Bodi's. I don't take any chances so I get two pounds of ham but one pound is ok for a few people. Comes with 8 rolls I believe, cup of cherry sauce, and the sliced ham. It must be the cherry sauce because these rolls make my mouth water. Only on Sunday's!! read more
