The texture was also a bit too chewy for my liking. The only item I truly enjoyed and was able to eat was the chocolo arepa that one was actually decent. Overall, I was pretty disappointed because I really enjoy arepas and was excited to find a new spot. I may give them another try in the future in case it was just an off day, but this first experience didn't live up to my expectations.

The arepa was extra crispy, which I loved. Honestly, even as a Colombian, and someone who grew up eating arepas all my life, I have to say, this Venezuelan version is amazing. Super flavorful and well-balanced. Germán, the owner, was super welcoming as always. He told me they're opening a new location in San José, which is way closer to me, and I'm honestly so excited to visit them there too! The vibe that day was perfect. The only reason for the 4-stars is the location for Vacaville is tricky as it's at a busy corner with very limited parking, though you can park in the residential neighborhood and walk over and again seating is limited to outside only but we pretty much always take it to go.
