My husband and i are glad to finally find this Colombian restaurant in NorCal. The place has a lively latin vibe. Beef Empanada 4* Arepa con queso 4* Bandeja Paisa 3*

I was excited to try this spot. I had delicious arepas in Colombia and I had the same expectation of taste. The arepas here was $15 and very small, bland and very dry. It was hard to swallow and I couldn't salivate because it was bland. I won't return.

Great place! Very welcoming and dog friendly. The food was great, Chicharron and yuca con chicharron is perfect! Nice salt amount and the crunch The family said the picada was delicious! I picked at it and i agree! The chicharron and plantains were my favorite. Empanada was so crisp and delicious! The kids ate up the plates they got before I could get a picture but my absolute favorite was the lemonade! Every time I see fresh lemonade on the menu I have to have it and this one is probably the best I've had in a very long time! Very refreshing, perfect amount of sweetness and tart. They even brought out a bowl of water for Otis! Everyone there was so nice and came to say hi to our pup. Very hospitable! Definitely a place to try! We'll be back. Otis

Food was good. Service was good. Little on the pricy side , but I always say, you get what you pay for.

I am visiting for a few days and wanted to see what Sac had to offer re: Latino food. This place didn't disappoint. The food was yummy, there was live music, and the atmosphere was a happy one overall. The bandejita paisa was great, full Of flavors and decently priced. I left happy!

Divina is an authentic Colombian restaurant, with great Colombian dishes like bandeja paisa, empanadas, and salchipapa. It is, as far as I know, the only authentic Colombian restaurant option in Sacramento. The decor is also genuinely Colombian including the rana game booth in the entrance. Service is friendly and the food is very good.

I definitely want to give this place another try. The items I got were to-go so I will eat in next time and compare. Everything was pretty good, but felt like it was missing something. I got empanadas, an arepa, and the hot dog. Everything was decent, but felt like there was a sauce or slaw missing. The empanadas were nice and crisp, but a bit greasy (this could be due to getting them to-go). The arepas had a good mouth feel, and the Chorizo was tasty, but felt like it was missing a slaw or sauce. The hotdog was topped with cheese and mayo. Service was quick and the girl working the cash register was nice. It's a big restaurant with plenty of seating, and the decorations are cute. I'll be back to try more dishes and again, try the meal fresh rather than to-go.

We loved the food, service and the chef even came out and chatted with us. We got to practice our Spanish. You will feel like you stepped into Columbia. She even took the time to explain the decor and what they represented in Columbia.

In a nutshell; good exposure to Colombian cuisine and a hint of their culture. Pleasant experience. A good amount of options on their menu, their empanadas and their arepas seem to be their bread and butter or specialty per say and they are delightful. Their hot chocolate was also pretty good and paired with a croissant and the cheeze/butter provided was magical. The server was nice and accommodating. It did get rather busy at some point and a time where I did have to get their attention for some waters but an understandable pass for how it got busy. Overall pleasant experience, don't mind trying it again if around the area and wanting some Colombian cuisine.

Wow! I got the beef filled Arrepa and my son got the Salcipapa (hot dog and fries. My son said it was amazing the way they cooked the hotdog and fries were amazingly potato favored. The Arrepa was crunchy and soft with a great corn flavor. The beef was shredded well seasoned and the cheese added that salty goodness. The lemonade is for real!! Delicious I had two!! It's not something from powder, nothing super sweet and fake. My sister had yuca fries and a potato empanadas. The yuca fries were crazy good. Light crust crunchiness with a creamy sweet texture inside. The dipping sauce was briny cucumber or something so delicious. It took a sec to get seated but the waitress was gorgeous so she gets a pass. The food took a minute to come out but I'm Latin so we expect to hang out and get to chat. That's what we do! The seating and vibe was festive, lively music going. I felt like I was back in Colombia.

Inside of the Empanada de Carne (Beef Empanada)

I'd love to give this place a 5, but the location and inside of the restaurant bring it down a notch. It's in a rougher part of Sacramento, and the interior looks old and a bit on the dirty side. That said, the flavors are definitely worth trying! Big shoutout to the young woman who helped me with my to-go order, she was an absolute sweetheart and super helpful. I ordered both chicken and beef empanadas. The chicken was my favorite, especially paired with the salsa they provided, it was delicious. I also tried the Colombian coffee, which was just okay. If you can look past the location and ambiance, you'll find some great flavors here!

Empanada Special- Carne (Beef) was my favorite dish! Super flavorful, juicy and tender with a nice thin crispy crunch! Melted in my mouth!

First time here trying Colombian food and had an amazing time! Right when you walk in it's decorated with beautiful colorful paintings with loud music playing and plenty of seating with a bar and stage! All the staff was super nice and the food is delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Gave this place a second chance because I didn't get to try the food 5 months ago. My friends really wanted to try so I gave in. They warned us the food woukd take 45 minutes. So wanted to start of with the yucca frita con chicharron and 2 bandeja paisa. 2 limonades and an agua De panela. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and 2 hours to get our food!! We were strongly considering just leaving and canceling at that point because the place wasn't even busy there was 5 other tables besides us with like 4/5people on each and some of them were already eating. On top of that our server never checked on us. I feel like this place has A LOT of potential but its just lacking the management both FOH and BOH. This place can be clean and organized the floors were dirty and they tell you to sit where ever you like and walk away BUT all the tables are dirty and I feel like 2 hrs is not ok for 3 dishes. I get the lemonade is fresh but 30 min!! Management needs to step it up and find a better system! FOOD was good tasty but wouldn't necessarily go back to wait for 2 hours for it! They have like 3 women and 2 guys working the front its doable . Quien sea que esté manejando este lugar no se como le está haciendo !???? 5 meseros y el piso y las mesas sucias ??? Y 2 horas para dos platillos .......

I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

It packed the flavor punch of homestlye cooking and would rival more expensive sit-down restaurants. What a gem! We ordered the Venezuelan arepa, birria empanada, mushroom empanada, side Macondo salad, and passion fruit juice. Every dish was fantastic, and I'd easily recommend any of the above. Venezuelan arepa -- the was ridiculously yummy. The perfect balance of creamy, rich avocado sauce with chicken. It was hearty, balanced, and perfectly seasoned. Birria empanada -- this was delicious, rich, and perfect for the particularly chilly late afternoon. Birria on point. If you're craving birria in a delectable, crispy empanada format, you'll be quite happy. Mushroom empanada -- yummy. We love mushroom empanadas and they executed this one well. Macondo side salad -- surprisingly fantastic! Did not expect it to be so tasty. It was only a side dish for the combo, but it held its own among the baked goods. That's how yummy it was. Passion fruit juice -- sweet and relatively thick. They definitely didn't water it down! If you're a fan of passion fruit juice, you'll must try this one. Environment was fast casual. The pandebono with dulce de leche was also disappointing. It's described as being filled with dulce de leche, but it was actually just a plain pandebono with a small side of dulce de leche. The texture was also a bit too chewy for my liking. The only item I truly enjoyed and was able to eat was the chocolo arepa that one was actually decent. Overall, I was pretty disappointed because I really enjoy arepas and was excited to find a new spot. The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past.
