I finally made my way over to check out Bodega Tapas & Wine Bar by SABOR. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food were excellent, the wine was divine, and the service exceptional and friendly. Ahi Tuna salad - The tuna was fresh and delicious, the cucumber and green salad was delicious, with a twist of curry in the sauce. Tomatoes Bruschetta - Served with a crunchy baguette and a delicious tomato salad, don't miss out I have to say the Octopus is a delicious dish that is perfectly prepared and is accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. It melts in your mouth like butter! Even though we were so full, the lobster risotto was the perfect end to a great meal The wine menu was unique and there was a 50% discount on Wednesdays so we enjoyed excellent Spanish wines. Dry Rose & Verdejo The kitchen will always substitute vegetables and food-sensitive/allergy options whenever possible. Make sure you try the artichokes! Definitely one of my favorites!

Patatas bravas and bruxel sprouts

I really enjoyed my diner there. All the dishes I tried were delicious, even though they were on the salty side. The patatas bravas were nice and crispy. The bruxel sprouts were nicely seasoned. The seafood paella had a decent amount of seafood pieces. The Spanish octopus was great, nicely cooked and crispy. We enjoyed the tapenade that came with it. The boar cheeks were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The Piri piri prawns were excellent too, nicely grilled. Would definitely recommend this place as they have so many options that you'll be sure to find what you like. Our server was nice and friendly too.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing experience! I was here on Monday with my team and the quality of service as well as the food was exceptional. Shout out to Leo for his wine knowledge and fantastic service, and we can't wait to be back.

An omen for a great night is rolling into @bodega_yeg ordering a bottle of wine, and hearing your charming server declare SELECT BOTTLES ARE 1/2 PRICE this evening I declared we will take two of everything kind sir Ok, I'm exaggerating however, the wine was 1/2 price & we did fill the tables, side chair, chair of another table and laughed harder than we've laughed in a long time. Thank you for a great experience @bodega_yeg we can't wait to visit you @sabor_yeg . . . Must try's : Roasted Pork Belly w/ Quince & Balsamic reduction! Bacon wrapped dates stuffed w/ manchego cheese! You may want two of each platter! House cheese cake !!! Runners up: Ahi tuna tara (spicy) & chicken liver, smoked duck & port pate. I have my eye on the $96 seafood tower for my next visit. It features a whole lobster, 8 oysters, prawns, muscled, ceviche..... check it out!

Devils on horseback. So good!

I loved this place!!! I was looking forward to the 10 tapas and wine for $70 but they don't have it anymore. I had to settle for their regular menu items (it wasn't settling because it was awesome). We ordered a number of dishes, most of which I can't remember the name. Too bad there isn't a website with the menu! But the most memorable was the charcuterie. The board was massive and filled with lots of goodies! There was 4 of us and still lots leftover. Another notable dish was the Devils on horseback. One of the best I've had! Soft dates and goat cheese with crispy bacon, it's a must have for savory meets sweet! I'll be back again for another wine and tapas night!

My husband and I have gone to bodega a few times and have always enjoyed the delicious food, friendly service and Spanish wine. Most recently, we went for some snacks before a movie and really enjoyed the duck carpaccio and lobster risotto, both were full of taste and we were good portions. Some of the tapas are small and hard to share with more than one person but the dishes are always well cooked, has great flavour and gives an authentic tapas feel. The dessert menu is also has great variety. If you need a quick snack or wish to share a variety of plates with a friend or loved one, this is the place to visit!

Nice place to chat with friends. Service was also good. Server was prompt, friendly and kind. Food though was hit and miss. The citrus fennel salad was our favourite thing on the menu. Fresh, full of flavour and plentiful. It had a variety of textures and flavours. I would highly reccomend this. The special of the day was aranchini was also very tasty The beef carpacio however was very bland. The pasta was okay tasting but cold and nothing to write home about. Dessert was a cormeal blueberry cake. This was tasty but a little dry. In general it was a nice evening, but really they need to improve on the quality of food.

We ordered 5 dishes and 2 desserts for 4 people and every dish was a winner. Anchovy toast w pickled lemon sat atop a crunchy toast. The taste profile was perfect. I could have eaten a full plate! Next was carpaccio w hazelnuts and pickled butternut squash and pea shoots. So good we had two plates. Buratta w beets and blood orange was creamy and delicious on chewy bread. Miso cod was cooked well - still fork tender and moist on bok choy w pickles to give a kick. The desserts were wonderful - sorbet was berry w sage and candied almonds. The other was lime meringue served in a cute bowl. Creamy and w crunchy crust. They also had a wine of the day and a good selection of alcohol-free drinks. Try the alcohol free sangria. Yummy. Definitely a place to impress your date or spouse or friends. Just be comfortable w sharing. :) technically, they have the miso cod and steak that could serve as a traditional entree and just order a few apps to start for a more traditional meal if that's your fancy.

Really great and hidden place…read more You won't beat the ambiance. it is amazing. Beautiful booths to sit in. Casual and private. Fantastic. Server was great. She came often to check on us and make suggestions for wine and food pairings. Food was fantastic. We ordered the shrimp which came in a delicous sauce and the mussels as well as the meat and cheese board. It filled up four of us nicely. Definately the highlight to the food was shrimp. But everything was tasty and good for sharing. We weren't pressured to leave and that was nice. Wine selection was excellent. And so many things you can try. My only complaint is you have to book email only. I tried booking this in may and no one responded to my emails. Also one time we walked in and tried to see if they had room but they weren't prepared. Please go on open table or something. Or consider people phoning in. Despite the nuscence of booking a great way to spend an evening.

Very misleading hours posted we showed up there at 9:41 and were told that they were closing soon…read moreand that they shut their kitchen down at 9:45pm & that they had already done last call for food for the night. They were still willing to serve us food to go though when my friend initially asked for menus they said to go? . Super disappointing we drove a half an hour to make it on time and rushed and everything thinking that an hour and 20 minutes before it closes is more than enough time for a quick Dinner service for two people and obviously we're not a-holes so when the entire staff is ready to just shutter early and leave, we're not gonna be the two people that insist that they stay open. The guy working there was really nice to my friend apparently though. So nothing against the staff personally or anything. Oh, and the gazebo is getting wild. There's some guy out there screaming about cutting some girl named Kristen's head off so if there's any violent crimes tonight, we're audible witnesses lol

The interior is beautiful exposed brick, warm grey chairs and banquets. Very comfortable and chic. The hostess and wait staff are friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions. For brunch I had the short rib benedict, atomic blond cocktail, and coffee. All were very good. For dinner I had the focaccia with whipped ricotta, a sazerac, the gnoochi, and an affogato for dessert. The whipped ricotta was the suggested appetizer by my server and of my goodness I could have crawled right into it--absolutely get that! If I went back to Edmonton for a visit I was definitely go back.

The Whipped Ricotta was also delicious but hers and my favorite was the panino. The servers were very friendly and polite and made it a pleasant experience. It is not a full dish restaurant so if you are expecting a Joey experience, this is not the place. While we were there, a party of 6+ showed up and sat down expecting that and ended up leaving. I would recommend this place if you are looking for something a little more intimate.
